  1. Any idea where they will be (performing)? I live in Amsterdam, so I need to see them for sure. Can't find anything on the Internet though.
  2. I don't know. At first I was really dissapointed. Of course, I knew that this album was gonna sound like some mainstream radio friendly pop music, but somehow I hoped that it wouldn't be that poppy. Well, my hope was for nothing, since this once again is pure mainstream radio music. With that said, I kinda like some parts of this song. Actually it started to grow on me. The chords are pretty nice and Chester delivers some good vocals. I just heard the previews of Talking to Myself and One More Light as well, and even though they are poppy as well, I am really looking forward to these songs. They sound beautiful. Still hate Heavy though, but hey, a lot of people seem to like it, so no probs.
  3. I didn't want to react immediately after the song came out, since it was a huge disappointment for me and I already saw enough hate about the song. Linkin Park has been my favourite band since the end of 2000 and I always loved how they were trying to be progressive and everything... But after hearing the song for over a week now and seeing the live version of it, I can say that I personally think this is awful. Not because it's way too easy (seriously, just the same 4 chords during the song over and over again?), but just because this is the same crap you get tons of when you turn on the radio. This is the reason why I haven't listened to radio for over 10 years, and now my favourite bands start to produce this awful music. It's a disappointment for me, but I'm glad most of you seem to like it by now. I didn't come here to bash their new song, and besides that there isn't anything to say what hasn't been said, but these are not the best times for a fan since HT.
  4. Damn, SOAD and LP on the same day. 3 hour drive from Amsterdam it is!
  5. Am I the only one hoping for KTTK?
  6. It looks like Mike doesn't want to be a frontman without an instrument anymore... Untill the encore, only in a short Papercut version and In The End where Mike doesn't play guitar or keyboards. Not a huge problem, but IMO this is another thing that makes LP a little bit quiet nowadays. Mike used to pump the crowd up so much...
  7. Honestly, some things really suprised me yesterday and other things were confirmed. Biggest surprise for me was the encore. I disliked it from the second I saw the setlist, but when you're actually at the concert it works out really well. I got tired of Crawling over the last few years, but damn... It still gets the crowd crazy, and even this faster version sounded extremely well. New Divide has the same story. My sincere apologies to Crawling, Numb and WID (songs that I personally got tired of, but really were highlights yesterday) Things that got confirmed: I can understand Linkin Park wants to satisfy the old fans AND the new fans, and their material from ATS and LT shows some of their skills and their grow over the last decade. But in fact it just doesn't work out well. Well, let me say yesterday, I don't know how it is at other concerts. They performed those songs really great (Best performance of BID to date if you ask me), but the crowd got bored. People stopped singing (except the front row), people were going to the toilets, get beer, were having a talk... I would call it a disaster for such a great band as LP. Literally all the reviews here in Holland complained about that: they destroyed the huge energy they've build earlier in the concert untill the Ballad medley. Really, Burn it Down, WFTE really fucked the atmosphere. They have a lot of good softer songs, that show their skills, but they should make a choice. COG, Ballad Medley, Robot Boy, BID, WFTE all after eachother is way too much, and kills the atmosphere. I don't care which softer songs they choose, but really, 2 slow songs maximum at a time. Luckily from Numb on the atmosphere was back again. To summarize the Dutch reviews for you: Amazing show, they were on fire. Great energy, great crowd, but a huge fail (not my words) about the part that we know as ACT III. And some complained about the rush in the setlist. Shortened songs (which is good for some, but most songs were flopped because of that), no time to speak to the audience etc. Overall they are quite positive. Some reviews that I used: http://www.nu.nl/muziek/3923636/linkin-park-kort-nummers-stevig-in-tijdens-concert-ziggo-dome.html http://www.roarezine.nl/2014/11/08/linkin-park-ziggo-dome-amsterdam/ http://lflmagazine.nl/concertrecensies/linkin-park-ziggo-dome Not saying that I agree with these reviews, but maybe you'll find it interesting to read what journalists and writers have to say about their great performance.
  8. Amazing show. They nailed it from the first second till the last, I don't know how it was on other places in the venue, but where I was the public was really loud and going completely crazy, with moshpits where it was possible (even on Castle of Glass haha). Hopefully we won't be skipped again next tour.
  9. Finally! The holy day will be really soon. After all these years on LPL, really glad to see a pre-show post from Hahninator about a show in my own city, a show that I will be attending for sure. See you guys there!
  10. My bad, I thought Copenhagen was after a couple of Europe shows, but in fact it was after some American shows (Bamboozle, Webster Hall etc.), where they didn't play those songs. I think I counted those as the same tour for some reason. My mistake.
  11. They aren't so much different, but they still ARE different. Like I said, most bands use just one setlist for multiple tours/years. And still, I'll be praying with you. Friday I'll be at the show in Amsterdam, and I am really hoping that there will be some special / debut songs. In 2007 in the middle of the European Tour they started to play LOATR, POA and TLTGYA, so let's just hope they'll do the same on this tour. If they don't add any changes, I'm hoping for at least set B, because With You is my favourite song.
  12. I remember when they played this mashup setlist for the first time, I think in somewhere in Arizona earlier this year. Everybody went crazy. A lot of songs, great remixes, solo's from Mike and Joe etc. After the European Festival tour people started to get bored by it. And since the Carnivores tour it's all negative. I'm not really happy with it either. I can't stand great songs like Papercut, LITE and UIG being shortened, and a ballad medley that has been played for years. But still: at least they have two different setlists. Big bands like Slipknot and Rammstein (in Europe probably the biggest band) continue with the same setlist for two years, without any variation (even though Rammstein has a good excuse with the pyroshow, everything has to go strictly the same every night). So let's all keep in mind (including myself) that at some point we were happy with this setlist, and at least they still have multiple setlists.
  13. I think there won't be any changes tonight, or at least, not big ones. Maybe a song like NMS will return, but I think it will still be the same setlist with Part I, II, III and IV. Really nice btw that some guy on twitter will be tweeting the set. Even though I hate it when people grab their phone at a concert and don't completely lose themselves in the concert, but for this time it's really nice. I will be in Amsterdam on Friday, so hopefully not the same setlist as last summer.
  14. What I've Done #3 (Yes, number 12 on the album...)
  15. Definately the best intro when you are with a girl.
