  1. Man this is great! I love it even more than The Rising Tied, and I really like that album. Favorites so far (really addicted to those): 1. Over Again 2. Ghosts 3. Can't Hear You Now 4. Make it up as I Go 5. Lift Off (too bad MGK is in this one, Mike and Chino are killing it) 6. Nothing Makes Sense Anymore Watching as I Fall, Place to Start & Crossing a Line are pretty nice as well; the other ones probably still need to grow on me (I had just one listen to the new songs). About You is the only one I don't like atm.
  2. I really love the performance of One More Light on this album. For me, Chester's multiple voice cracks in the bridge are the highlight of this album. Maybe a little strange, but it sounds so passionate, emotional and real because of the cracks.
  3. It is disrespectful and immature to let people pay for a setlist like this.
  4. It's not that hard to see. Maybe I fail to explain it, in that case I'm sorry. To make it simple: Compare the movement on stage to the movement 10 years ago. Compare the movement in the crowd to the movement ten years ago. Same as energy, performance, etc. At this point, somebody is standing on stage with sunglasses and a mic stand, singing pop songs. Yes I know about chesters back, but still. Ten years ago, there was someone standing on stage, giving everything he had, every night. Now we have a guitarist who rather plays samples and keyboards and a rapper that rather sings like every mainstream pop singer. It is a shame.
  5. What I don't get is why you always have to react so arrogant against other people using this forum. It's just another opinion, but somehow you always seek confrontation with the way you formulate your words. It's feels like you overcompensate and act like a true Internet hero. It's a pity and unnecessary. With that said: I don't care too much about which older songs are played. It's just that a Linkin Park show is not a Linkin Park show anymore. Even if they would drop all HT and Meteora songs, they could still come up with a Linkin Park show. Now we are just standing there, listening to 25 minutes of piano music and some pop songs. It's just not Linkin Park anymore... If chester can't perform their songs anymore, he should just stop. Or Linkin Park should change its name. They are spitting on their own legacy. Don't get me wrong, I even like some songs of the new record and I feel like I am one of they only ones here that likes Castle of Dance and the Mr Hahn medley. But at this point, burn it down, numb and new divide are part of the wilder songs in the setlist... What the hell is that? Why don't they just drop off an all seater concert. That's my point.
  6. From the inside on RAR 2004, Papercut at Docklands 2001... That's passion. My problem is that they are filtering all the songs that get the crowd going. And once they decide to play some older stuff, they choose to rehearse My December or they switch a heavy song like Crawling for a piano version. How many piano songs do we get in one evening? Of course, lp plays their songs with passion. But don't tell me that this setlist gets the crowd going like it used to. Only because of their setlist choices. Great that they are talking more, but that probably takes more energy than singing a simple song like Battle Symphony.
  7. Yeah, why not? Let's just play soft stuff from the only period that makes their live show worth it. Even crawling has turned into some slow piano nonsense. What next? Faint orchestral instrumental? Bleed it out funky beach remix? No more passion in their live shows. Sad.
  8. Lol, this is awful. Talking to Myself, One More Light and maybe Good Goodbye are the only three songs that don't make me feel ashamed to be a LP-fan. *Puts on Hybrid Theory*
  9. Don't want to hate, but most of the songs sound way better then what we've heard from the upcoming record (excluding TTM and okay, maybe the title track).
  10. Just giving it a little bump... No one can help me out?
  11. Okay, so everything went wrong for me... I heard that LP will be playing in Amsterdam, my hometown, so I thought let me go to a headline show instead. Turns out I really can't go since I have to be in Asia for my work on the 20th. So I thought "No problem, let's go to Rock Werchter instead!". And now everything is sold out... Really sad. So, if anyone has two or more tickets left for the Saturday of Rock Werchter, please please please just contact me! Really hoping anyone can help me out...
  12. And if you compare RTR with their shows at the Docklands Arena in Londen in 2001 or with RaR in 2004, RTR wasn't even that mad. However, if you compare it to tracks like BID and Heavy, you could even describe RTR as completely insane. Sad. It's getting downwards. It has been like that for the last 10 years.
  13. Is it better than the last two tracks? Yes. But still... What is this? Just another track that you will hear in the club. The concerts of LP will be really boring if this is what we will get. Just singing along at best. No crowd movement, nothing... That said: it is not bad at all. Finally hearing Mike rapping again, Chester a catchy chorus and some good layers. If the speed would have been 1.25 higher, Chester's voice would have been a little more crunchy and there would be electric guitar, this could have been an amazing song. For now it is okay and finally a track that I am not really ashamed of as a LP-fan. Just a little (and that is a huge improvement).
  14. Well, I can imagine why you have some of these thoughts. About BIO: Let's agree to disagree about the importance of the extended outro, drumsolos etc. Of course it works great as a closer in it's current form. However, my whole idea for this setlist was to keep the pace and atmosphere alive. I don't know where you're from (no offence, it's just that the atmosphere of concerts in the U.S. differs from Europe), but in Europe during THP-tour the concerts actually started at the intro of Given Up: Guilty all the same was way too slow/unknown/difficult to get the crowd going. Everyone was just standing and watching. The most important thing at a live concert, is to get your atmosphere wild and alive. You have only one chance to kick the night off, and I believe that opening with GATS, WID, ND etc. is a missed opportunity. That is why opening with With You, Don't Stay, Faint, One Step Closer and Papercut was really succesful: Well-known songs, high pace, easy to sing allong and good to start a moshpit. I think BIO has the same opportunity and it would get the crowd going for the rest of the night. IMO Numb is anything but heavy. I think it's a melodic opportunity to go from FTI into a medley. Especially when Numb has a piano outro. Going straight into The Catalyst is perfectly fine I think. Why? THP-tour. The first 8 songs (after GATS, of course ), everyone lost their minds. Great atmosphere, singalongs, moshpits, etc. This was completely killed by LP by playing 8 slow songs (Ballad-medley, BID, WFTE etc.) . I am not saying that they shouldn't play softer songs or anything, but 8 songs? Everyone fell asleep, people went to the toilets and got themself a drink at the bar. Not trying to hate, just trying to describe that I saw (and of course personally felt) at the concerts in Europe. First of all: from the piano outro of Numb to the intro of the catalyst would probably take 7 minutes (Crawling, Heavy (shortened, but slower) and One More light in full). That would mean 8 minutes of piano music, without any pace, drums, guitar etc. Please, just get the rythym back. Why The Catalyst? Because it starts slow, with mysterious music and the whole song builds up to an ending where the rythym is completely back. That means from the last up-tempo beat from Numb untill the climax of The Catalyst is more than 10 minutes. 10 minutes is the absolute max if you don't want to kill your crowd and atmosphere. And besides that: even if Numb and The Catalyst were extremely heavy songs, that doesn't mean it doesn't work to play a ballad in between. Do you happen to be familiar with Rammstein (one of Europe's biggest bands ever, and selling out arena shows worldwide since 2000 and wellknown for their amazing live concerts)? Probably you do. Last tour they played Mutter (their ballad) between Feuer Frei and Mein Teil (two of their heaviest songs). Exactly for the reason I just mentioned. Stone Sour does the same for over 10 years now: Bother and Through the Glass in the middle of heavy songs. This is the only way that you can play ballads at a concert. LP didn't understand this last time, and killed their own atmosphere. You are probably right about Given Up being to difficult at the end of the set. It would be amazing on that spot, but if it is too difficult, then just switch places with One Step Closer, and move OSC one spot later in the setlist. So like this: 1. Bleed it out (extended intro) 2. Given Up (extended outro) 3. Rebellion 4. From the Inside (extended intro) 5. Numb (piano outro) 6. Piano medley: Crawling (no second verse)/Heavy (no second verse)/One More Light (full) 7. The Catalyst (Fallout intro) 8. No More Sorrow 9. Papercut (extended intro) 10. Wretches and Kings (new intro) 11. Waiting for the End 12. In the End 13. New song (Talking to Myself?) 14. Battle Symphony 15. What I've done ------------------- 16. New Divide (extended intro) 17. New song 18. Faint (extended outro) 19. One Step Closer (extended bridge) ----------------- 20. Breaking the Habit (extended outro) 21. A Line in the Sand And yeah, I am one of the hated HT/Meteora-fanboys who probably won't like the new album (judging by the first two tracks). But I tried to make a setlist that had everything: singles, new songs, older and newer non-singles etc. I believe that in this order it is the best to keep the atmosphere alive and it is refreshing to have songs switched to other spots which makes LP concerts a new experience. Anyway, thanks for your feedback. Let's hope that LP put's something great and special together!
  15. Why don't start with Bleed it Out? It has a great pace and atmosphere to start a concert with. And yeah, they would probably have to drop the extended outro and bridge, but come on, they have been playing these extended versions for 10 years now. Just extend the solo a little bit and maybe a "Are you ready for tonight?!"-sing a long in the bridge, and just open with such a great song. I really like Hahninator's opening post btw. Linkin Park can make such great setlists if they want to. Rotating setlists are always great, but here's one that I would really love to see: 1. Bleed it out (extended intro) 2. One Step Closer (extended bridge) 3. Rebellion 4. From the Inside (extended intro) 5. Numb 6. Given Up (extended outro) 19. Faint (extended outro) ----------------- 20. Breaking the Habit (extended outro) 21. A Line in the Sand I can hardly imagine that any LP-fan doesn't feel this setlist.
  16. That would be really nice to experience! And thank you. If I win, I will give an update on this page for sure. Yes, I've seen them here in Amsterdam before and on the Pinkpop festival in 2007. Amazing performances and all sold out shows. It's a question I had for many years: they could have easily sold out the Ziggo Dome twice in 2014, yet they didn't come to the Netherlands for over 13 years with an own headline show. Hopefully with the next tour, we will be included again, and not just a festival performance in Belgium.
  17. Hopefully I will get an invitation. I expect nothing less as an Amsterdam fan since 2000. On a serious note: I'm really curious what this intimate event will be.
  18. I already thought about RTL Late Night as well. Hope we will get more info soon. Oh and yeah, I saw that the main event will be at 3 PM. Really curious what that will be. Hope to get an invitation!
