What a very disappointing setlist!!! it´s a shame for lp! they always changed their setlists the last years.... but now.. seemingly they have enough power to do this!??!?!?!

furthermore... 22 songs... thats only a 85-90min set and this after 5 albums and more than 60 songs! they always play the same songs! i mean it was nice to have a rebirth of "With You" and "Runaway" after these all years! But now.... always the same songs!

in 2010 and 2011 their shows were much longer... 95-100min! and now...

It says Headline Set A so I'm hoping there will be a Set B..

That one!.

I love Castle Of Glass, amazing song and lyrics, but is like takes away some energy in the Set.

I don't like very much IMR but is very much better in the live Set.

in Japan maybe

Haha yeah.

Wow that's disappointing since Mike said new setlists for 2013, but oh well. Personally that's my least favorite setlist of all of 2012 (counting the 2 European sets and the 3 HCT sets, so my least favorite of 5) because it ends with 14 (read that: 14) singles and the encore is really weak. Just my thoughts. I thought COG coming in would be good, and it is, but I fear it'll be stuck as a single in the setlists for years and years. And BIO is back to stagnant.

Set B and Set C with APFMH opening and With You opening are pretty solid since one has the best encore I think the band has ever had (TINFOIL, Faint, LFY/Papercut, OSC) plus WTCFM, and the other HAD VICTIMIZED/QWERTY, LFY/Papercut (holy epic at those 4 being back-to-back...aka Bristow) and WTCFM, but now it has a full LFY, a full Papercut, a WTCFM and a solid encore. Still good.

I'm pretty surprised they didn't try I'LL BE GONE or POWERLESS since IBG is on the radio and POWERLESS had a music video. I guess they won't be singles? And it looks like Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne (headlining shows) will get this set. LP might troll us all if they do this set minus like 3-4 songs for Soundwave. Ouch. APFMH?

Highlight of this set is the first 6 songs. Faint, Papercut, With You, Given Up, Somewhere I Belong. That's pretty badass. And then VICTIMIZED/QWERTY and POA. Rock on.

...These guys had this much time to work out something new, and they didn't even bother? Not even a new intro to an older song or a different verse over Waiting For the End or something different during Bleed it Out or anything like that?

I've given this band the benefit of the doubt enough times over the course of this pathetic excuse for a touring cycle. I'm done. They are COMPLETELY phoning it in at this point and don't even care, so why should I? It's pretty obvious that Linkin Park doesn't give two shits about touring anymore, and if not, I guess that's fine with me. Hopefully their studio output continues to be satisfying. But I don't see myself dropping a bunch of money on another LP show in the future.

And yes, I know there are probably at least 2 other setlists they'll be playing on the upcoming tour. I guarantee right now that they'll follow the same format as this one: Same stuff they've been playing, with the addition of Castle of Glass. The next time you'll see Linkin Park play a new song live won't be any sooner than Japan in August.

You really think two more setlists? I would assume just one - this for the headlining shows and one more for the festivals (Soundwave).

over the course of this pathetic excuse for a touring cycle

Anyway I agree with you on everything you said except one point of this. I know you mean they aren't doing another US tour and they're slowly sinking back how much they tour, and hell Europe might not even get another LT tour, but I do like how they brought back A Place For My Head, Points Of Authority, With You, Runaway and Somewhere I Belong in 2012. And they also kept From The Inside and Blackout surprisingly. Well, LOL, just for one tour unfortunately. That part is legit and 2 of the 3 HCT sets are pretty solid (B and C)....just so many singles in a row.

It's disappointing because they seemed like they really enjoyed changing the setlists up in 2007 and 2008 (even changing them mid tour both years)....until maybe PR08 when they got exhausted from touring....but I was under the impression they were doing something different for Australia.

I wonder when they will finally get tired of playing In The End, Numb, New Divide, The Catalyst, What I've Done, etc, if ever.

False. That set is missing the following:

  • A Place For My Head
  • With You
  • From The Inside
  • Figure.09
  • A Place For My Head
  • P5hng Me A*wy
  • The Little Things Give You Away
  • A Place For My Head
  • A Place For My Head
  • When They Come For Me
  • Blackout
  • A Place For My Head

It's also missing A Place For My Head.

As much as I love APFMH, drop the 5 APFMH repeats, keep one and add Faint, Runaway, One Step Closer, VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) and Points Of Authority and that 12 song set would be the best show of 2012 lol.

Wow, Yeah I'm pretty sire the band is crying right now because they disappointed you Lol. The band doesn't do the setlist according to people like us. We see the artist for every show they make. Of course for us there is no difference, at least no big one. but for the normal linkin park fan that goes to their consetting whenever they are in town, they see a big difference in the their show.

It's kinda the double washed show of pages like this.

Wow. Same old set pretty much. I would have thought they'd add a few new songs or maybe bring back an oldie. I guess we'll have to wait for Australia/New Zealand if they do anything. Maybe they won't. It seems like LP is afraid to drop their mainstream hits. Kinda lame. But it's awesome that they played BIO studio version. I hate the live version of BIO with a fiery passion.

I wonder when they will finally get tired of playing In The End, Numb, New Divide, The Catalyst, What I've Done, etc, if ever.

I doubt In The End, Numb, and What I've Done will ever left out of a touring cycle. Those three songs are their biggest hits and are the three songs they are probably most recognized for.

Personally that's my least favorite setlist of all of 2012 (counting the 2 European sets and the 3 HCT sets, so my least favorite of 5) because it ends with 14 (read that: 14) singles and the encore is really weak.

19 (read that: 19) singles. (set [medley=3] + encore).

if i understand you right, you said that the average fan came to the show for the hits? LP have to many hits so if they play only half of them and the rest of show "album songs" (not sinlges) everybody will be satisfied. we ask just for 2. two. 二. dos. II. but nothing.
