Considering all of the intros, outros and b-sides/demos we have from the MTM era and MTM songs, make a tracklisting of the CD that you think would have come out equally as good to MTM or even better. For example, here's mine:

01. Pale

02. Across The Line

03. Wake

04. Given Up

05. What We Don't Know

06. QWERTY (2006 version, studio form, 1000x better than the LPU6 "studio" one)

07. No More Sorrow (long intro in the studio)

08. Leave Out All The Rest (SOTD ending transition tacked on to the end of this)

09. What I've Done (AMBO intro)

10. Bleed It Out (Seattle 2007 version, extended intro, extended bridge (maybe w/ drum solo?), slow -> fast outro with a Chester "FUCK YEAH!" at the end, lmao)

11. Valentine's Day

12. In Pieces

13. No Roads Left

14. The Little Things Give You Away

20. The Little Things Give You Away

BOOM DONE !! 20 TRACKS !! I would added "Across The Line" but i dont know where it would be added. I feel it would not flow with the album ive remade for MTM. QWERTY always felt like a Itunes Single Release Only if you get my point, like New Divide did for Transformers i think QWERTY could of done for another movie.

I'm too lazy to make an entire tracklist, but here is how it would have begun....

1. Annoncement Service Public

2. Qwerty

3. Across The Line (with the heavy intro - acetate version)

4. What We Don't Know

5. Asbestos (a completed version) + Wake transition into..

6. Given Up

I have this tracklist in my music library, and I love the tone MTM could have had with such songs.

For the other tracks, I'd have included Blackbirds, In Pieces, TLTGYA, No More Sorrow, HHH, and NRL, but I don't know the order. Maybe WID and BIO. Also, maybe Pale as an interlude, but in a shortened form. 5 min instrumental would have broken the flow of the record

Exit : LOATR, SOTD, Valentine's Day, In Between.

Shadow of the Day

What I've Done

What We Don't Know

Debris

Hands Held High

Valentine's Day

The Little Things Give You Away

I know that Wake was meant to be an opener but Across The Line had so much potential for a killer album opener and I had to include Wake too :D

as much as I'm not too fussed with making my own tracklist, I will state that I cannot agree more with Mark's comment about the 2006 live/studio versions of QWERTY

So I'm the only one that prefers the studio version. I'm gonna defend myself, I like the more punky feel it has.

As for MTM, I won't make my own tracklist but I would definitely kick out Valentine's Day, In Between, Hands Held High, and maybe Shadow of the day for Across The Line, QWERTY, Asbestos, What we Dont Know and a full song based on Brad's Yo.

My ideal tracklist for Minutes to Midnight is roughly this:

1. The Requiem

2. The Radiance

3. Burning in the Skies

4. Empty Spaces

5. When They Come For Me

6. Robot Boy

7. Jornada del Muerto

8. Waiting for the End

9. Blackout

10. Wretches and Kings

11. Wisdom, Justice, and Love

12. Iridescent

13. Fallout

14. The Catalyst

And then instead of calling it "Minutes to Midnight", call it, "A Thousand Suns". And then throw those other 12 songs in the trash.

Given Up and No More Sorrow >>>>>>>>>>>> Robot Boy and Iridescent

The Minutes to Midnight on my iTunes is the same as the original, but with Across the Line and No Roads Left sandwiching In Pieces. Breaks some of the monotony of the "official" version, and at the same time isn't overlong.

And for the record, ATS >>>>>>>>>>>>>> MTM

I just watched the making of MTM, and the clip hear of Blackbirds is definitely not the same lyrics as the version we got with 8BR. So there definitely is a MTM version of Blackbirds out there, we got the re-worked ATS version.

That doesnt means nothing, lyrics get rewritten, re recorded a lot of times, mike have explained that million of times

I did this on LPA once and made it keep the same amount of tracks it normally has so:

1. Pale

2. Asbestos

3. Given Up

4. Leave Out All the Rest

5. Bleed it Out

6. Across the Line

7. What I've Done

8. Valentine's Day

9. QWERTY

10. In Pieces

11. Debris

12. In Between

13. Blackbirds

14. What We Don't Know

15. The Little Things Give You Away

although I would have it go more than 15 tracks
