Open only to US Residents. http://www.linkinpark.com/profiles/blogs/i...artwork-contest It's some kind of Racism, lol What do you think about the idea to organize alternative contest for non-US residents, like it was with "The Catalyst" remix contest??? navabaca Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It's some kind of Racism, lolI totally agree! What do you think about the idea to organize alternative contest for non-US residents, like it was with "The Catalyst" remix contest??? I think that The Catalyst remix contest was also only for selected countries, although there were also European, but not all. Or am I wrong? Quote
ivan_astahov27 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 yeah, there was some of the European countries... not for US only Proof is NoBraiN - he is from Poland, AFAIK But there was an alternative contest for those who couldn't join the official contest. LPL, LPAssociataon and LPTimes was hosters. maybe they will do it again? Quote

ivan_astahov27 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It's some kind of Racism, lolno.Of course it isn't racism, if you ARE US resident US have other opinion about "what is racism" and it isn't "when you're banned from contest just becaule you're living in wrong (non-US) country" Quote
navabaca Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Yes, legal. It's clear that this limitation is not related to patriotism Linkin Park, Warner Bros. etc., but for some good reason. Still, it's a discriminatory thing. Nobody did not cause, of course. It's possible to worry about the philosophical ideas on the functioning of the global community or place of birth of each individual, but no big deal. Just want to say that... it does not matter. At least I will not have to toil with the proposal. ;D Thank you for LPxDC little education. .) Quote
LPxDC Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 no.Of course it isn't racism, if you ARE US resident US have other opinion about "what is racism" and it isn't "when you're banned from contest just becaule you're living in wrong (non-US) country" *facepalm This Is Racism Quote
ivan_astahov27 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) ...and all my smiles and 'lol's just became invisible at once )) I know what is REAL racism. Anв situation with contest isn't racism, but discrimination, i know. it's just very emotional joke using hyperbole, like US residents is another race, that are "intrinsically superior to members of other races" and it's the reason why only they are allowed to join the contest I'm sorry. Doris The Spider Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Are we able to submit more than one entry? Quote
rav0k Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I hate contests based on votes. In my opinion they should announce a contest ahead of time and the date that you will be able to submit your entries (not allowing a huge buildup all the way to the end). Then, they can open a submission site for a limited time and only the people who really cared to have their submission looked at will make sure that it was submitted during that limited time. That way it's more about "first come first serve" and not based on someone who knows how to market their shit and get some votes. I know this method is probably not ideal for a band with the status that Linkin Park has, because they probably aren't wanting to go through a thousand submissions just to find what looks good. Oh well, I've seen some great submissions so far. Keep it up dudicles. Quote

FearOfTheDuck Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I'd enter this... but I have the artistic talent of a walrus. Or, indeed, a duck. Quote
