ChuckCheese Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 In the wake of the Figure.09 and The Little Things Give You Away threads, I thought this song deserved one too. So. Across the Line. The most unique song Linkin Park has written to date. A different structure, unique lyrics, awesome harmonies, and some good old Chester screams. What are your thoughts on Across the Line? Quote
gorast Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 NOTHING IS TOO GOOD FOR MTM JAF:LAKJF:LKSDJLAKJFLKSJDF just kidding ATL is the shit bro Quote
Trang Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I think it's flawed for what a LP song is... But it sounds amazing. Just imagine what a piece of awesomeness if they'd have worked more on this one. Quote
Xero21 Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 The most unique song Linkin Park has written to date. A different structure, unique lyrics, It has the exact same structure as every other LP song. Quote
ChuckCheese Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 It has the exact same structure as every other LP song. Why you always gotta make me hit you, baby? Quote
anjum Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 (edited) A good song but nothing special. IMO. I think that it's a bit overrated by the folks here at LPL. But I absolutely love the intro and the ending scream in it. The scream gives me eargasm. EDIT: Yipeee!! 200th Post!!!!! Edited July 17, 2010 by Anjum_Agony.In.Disguise Quote
hawk Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I have to agree with Anjum_Agony.In.Disguise. The song is great but it is overrated by some people here on the LPL. Quote
gorast Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Why you always gotta make me hit you, baby? Well, In Pieces has a similar feel to it. Verse-chorus-verse-chorus with the music building up leading into the bridge. Quote
Ashwhisker Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Every time I see the abbreviation ATS I read it as "Across The...DAMMIT...suns" Quote
anjum Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Every time I see the abbreviation ATS I read it as "Across The...DAMMIT...suns" Hehe...It's the same for me. It'll take some time to get used to ATS. I often mix up ATL & ATS. Quote
feelthless Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Actually the structure IS unique verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-BRIDGE(again) Quote

Qwerty18 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 ....Because 2 " " is better than 1....lol Anyway I think ATL is an excellent song, catchy and all, one of my favorite LP songs for being honest, but it has nothing unique. For me it's a very common-structured music... Quote
Geki Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 ATL is a really good song, but it's definitely not the BEST LP song like a lot of people say. I really like the lyrics and how it builds up, but other than that, it's not like mind blowing. Quote
rsw2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I think it's flawed for what a LP song is... But it sounds amazing. Just imagine what a piece of awesomeness if they'd have worked more on this one. I agree. It's ok, as a demo, but if they had spent just a little more time working on it, it would be an epic song. Lyricly, i love it because it's so much more different than most of the other M2M songs that have been released. Quote
gorast Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Actually the structure IS unique verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-BRIDGE(again) WAT doesn't make it better Quote

LPxDC Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 It's a demo. I don't recall them ever once playing a demo live.RME,QWERTY? Quote
ChuckCheese Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 RME,QWERTY? Don't consider either one a demo. Both of those were completed songs. Quote
