florez411 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 When I first heard the thirty second clip of this song and then the full version, I fell in love with it, it has the perfect Late 80s'/Early 90s' Grunge Rock sound, kinda like Grey Daze if you ask me, what do you guys think about it? hahninator Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I think it's interesting. Not the best track I've heard of course but the lyrics remind me of a Chester-version of Hands Held High in a way. Pretty interesting track, glad it was included on the CD. Quote
Astat Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I think this is the "song that sounds like T-Rex" that Chester was referring to way back in the first interview where he discussed Snow White Tan in 2005. It's definitely got that kind of vibe to it. Quote
Cyro Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Good observation... But regardless of that, this is like... my second favorite track on the album right now... I love this song!! Quote
immortalsoul Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hmm, not really my favorite so far. Need to give it some more listens! Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I fucking love this song... but i hate what Benson did with Chester's voice all those effects are for singers who can't sing, this is Chester Bennington he doesnt needs that shit. Quote
Geki Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I fucking love this song... but i hate what Benson did with Chester's voice all those effects are for singers who can't sing, this is Chester Bennington he doesnt needs that shit. Agreed but I still think Out Of Ashes is amazing. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Agreed but I still think Out Of Ashes is amazing. Yup, it's amazing so much better than MTM.. no doubt. Quote
bartorious Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 you guys are all right....this fucken song is amazing i luv the sound and yup it sounds like a chester's hhh 2.....i luv the whole album....good ass lyrics....chester was goin through alot at the time.... Quote
Geki Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Yup, it's amazing so much better than MTM.. no doubt. No...I have to disagree with you there. MTM is my favorite LP album to date. I have always loved all the songs and I still listen to the full album today without getting bored. OOA is good but it's not LP so I don't really compare them. Quote
OZZY Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 End Of The World is one of my favourites from the album. Yeah it does feel like pre 2000, 1980's hits this song perfect. Imagine this in 1980. People would be fucking tone death from blasting it everyday lol. Quote
Subs Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 This song is amazing, the only thing thats tainted for me is its obvious lyrics, It sounds so cliche when you hear a song with simple lyrics on a similer subject matter after your been listening to Vicarious by Tool for years... Quote
Acodemaster Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Yup, it's amazing so much better than MTM.. no doubt. HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSeriously, what's up with all the MTM haters? We're past that now. I thought LP as a community decided that whoever doesn't like MTM isn't an LP fan but a nu-metal fan? Quote
heartless_wind13 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 end of the world live is fucking great. its a sick song. and i love how they extended the outro a little by repeating the chorus again. was sick in NYC last night Quote
1996_LP Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Yeah, definatly one of my favourites - unexpectedly so however, Im not a massive fan of 80's pre-grunge rock I love that little synth melody that pops up every now & then. it has a very intresting song structure & the guitar/keybord solo is very well done.
