LPLStaff Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Billboard has just posted a new article about the From Zero World Tour: "Linkin Park recently wrapped the From Zero World Tour, a nearly-two-year trek that stopped in 23 countries on five continents and added up to the biggest business of the band’s touring career. According to final figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, the tour grossed $251 million and sold 2.2 million tickets across 80 shows. The From Zero World Tour ran from Sept. 11, 2024, through June 30, 2026, marking Linkin Park’s first live shows since the passing of original singer Chester Bennington during 2017’s One More Light World Tour. Since then, vocalist Emily Armstrong has joined the band as it returned with From Zero (2024), yielding two Billboard Music Award wins among five nominations, plus two Grammy nods and four nominations at the American Music Awards. The From Zero World Tour lived up to its name, taking Linkin Park around the world and back. After a jumble of cross-continental shows in the fall of 2024 (in chronological order: Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, Paris, Bogota, Texas, Sao Paulo), the band embarked on proper legs of shows in Mexico, Asia, the United States, Europe, back to the U.S. and Canada, South America, Asia again, Oceania and one last go-around in Europe. Overall, Europe was the tour’s biggest market, generating $105.9 million from 909,000 tickets over just 19 shows. Despite taking up less than 25% of the tour’s shows, the continent contributed more than 40% of its total earnings and attendance. While the tour played arenas in much of Asia, North America, and Oceania, it leveled up to stadiums in Europe, where Linkin Park had previously averaged between 13,000 and 15,000 tickets across four tours in the 2010s. On its 2025 European leg, it sold upwards of 56,000 tickets per show, multiplying its nightly audience by a factor of three or four. The band also hit stadiums across Latin America, including sold-out shows in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. In four markets — one city in Brazil and three in Germany — Linkin Park played stadium double-headers, moving 101,000 tickets over two nights in Munich (June 11-12, 2025) and 97,000 in Sao Paulo (Nov. 15-16, 2024). Ultimately, the From Zero World Tour’s total gross lapped any prior Linkin Park run more than 10 times over. While grosses for many of Linkin Park’s early shows were unreported, pro-rating their previous tours’ figures to account for missing dates still leaves its most recent trek out in front by at least four-to-one." Cesar656 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 The only valid reply to this is this link: Linkin Park continue to fumble their epic return. Quote

LPLStaff Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 It seems pretty obvious that they should focus on playing more shows in Europe (20+ a tour) and less in North America, right? That should open up some capacity for them to get to Asia properly for the next album and allow things to remain similar to the From Zero era with South America, Australia/NZ, Europe, etc. Quote
Cesar656 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I think Spain opened up as a market for them, Germany, Italy, UK and Spain must be the start point of every european tour, and then take it from there to other countries like france, poland etc Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted August 13 Posted August 13 US market is quite ambivalent for them. East-Coast/NorthEast was really strong (double header) while mid-west was unerwhelming. Canada was strong. Quote
Soeffingnaive92 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 An already big band comes back after 7 years hiatus picking up the pieces after the worst case scenario ever. So curiosity + nostalgia is a big winning mix Quote
JZLP9CharlesMarcia Posted August 13 Posted August 13 The clash between the old fans who needed this band to be back and the kids who grew up listening to LP and got a chance to see them in this new era helped a lot for this massive comeback. They did everything right, hopefully they keep going, pretty sure that the next LP2 album will be better than FZ they have every element to make a better album. Hopefully they keep honoring the past by releasing anniversary editions of LP1. what a ride. Quote
bloodbath Posted August 14 Posted August 14 That's it guys, Linkin Park is now an European band. We'll take care of them. Quote

They'll probably just drop dates in other countries to add more in Europe. I still think the next tour will have fewer shows and make less money, mainly because the comeback hype will have died down. 18 hours ago, bloodbath said: That's it guys, Linkin Park is now an European band. They was basically stuck to North America + Europe + a few short runs in other continents. Now, South America seems to be getting bigger. Don't forget that, when it comes to concert markets worldwide, Brazil is second only to the US. Quote

michalangelo Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Posted Monday at 10:10 PM $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Instead of focusing on cool MUSIC related merch they throw a yo-yo or a sealing tape at you. 🤣 Don't forget the cha-ching sound did not end yet - Unshatter movie should bring a good amount of money too. Then more vinyls. And after these maybe a LiMiT3D CD+DVD with the movie (maybe or maybe not - bring your whole family, friends, enemies, cat, dog, hamster, everything that could get them "their demand numbers". If they're good they'll think about releasing this DVD or a BLURAY (if the format's alive by the time). Or maybe not. Who knows?! But you sure can do some promotional work for them (get a movie screening at your cinema, which has to be paid out of your pockets most likely in order to see the movie). If it's not a top dollar move to get some cash flowing I don't know what is. Marketing 1.0.1 Unfortunately kids these days are nothing but money spenders, not thinking about their bank account, future or at least the reason to buy a stupid yo-yo for 20 bucks 🤣 YOLO v2.0^100000 And the label is exploiting this fact to the limits. The count did not stop at the 250 mil you know.. On topic: They should do a proper LPU smaller closed venues tour (London Brixton type of venues) This would be cool AF ❤️ Quote

But hey, lets focus on two items of the shop. Are you aware that music is a business? Or you think Linkin Park is a charity act? Just asking? Or are u maybe sore because u one of those LP died with Chester, Emily is in a cult, or who knows, maybe u are a GD band member lmao Quote

If you're ok with all the cashgrab shit it's fine, I'm not ok with half of this. Music should be music, and not a business focused on milking the fans. They sure did great til' 2017 without all this silly stuff like yo-yos, sealing tape or 3543643 versions of vinyl. Two items from the store are just examples. Also I advise you too look up or ask who am I before posting shit like "you maybe sore..blah blah" lmao 24 minutes ago, JP989 said: The only real problem I have with what you said is that music shouldn’t be just viewed as a business. Music is art and you always hear artists saying that they would do it for free if success never came, as it’s art and it’s part of them, Chester used to say that stuff all the time. Exactly! As someone that has been around for the band as long (or even longer?) than you: LP were always a cash cow. In the beginning and for the longest time it was obviously strongly focused by Warner. What is happening now is the fact that they (I would "accuse" the band more now) go with the flow of the times. I haven't spent a single amount of currency on the band since they came back. But as long as fans willingly throw their cash at everything they put out, these things will further escalate (this accounts for everything in life -> vote with your wallet!). It's just natural, unfortunately. Also @cesar You forgot the possibility that he hates women. Because everyone who criticizes the band might obviously be a woman hater. Quote

This is going into a wrong direction, even as a joke. Please restrain yourself from such statements. No hate from my side towards the band or Emily. I am still around, 3 shows from FZ tour including two London and they were expensive af to begin with. If I was a hater i sure wouldn't be around much.. As for the rest of your post, on point. Maybe it just is like that these days and people like me won't get it why it has to be like that :( I'm not saying I didn't buy some stuff but man, where's the end line for this? Quote

It is something that some people on these boards like to proclaim when people criticize Emily. And seeing as Cesar dug deep in the bag of stupid things to say towards people who criticize the band, I felt the need to add this important accusation. Again: It was tongue in cheek directed at the absurdity some people have to deal with on here, who don't jump in excitement for everything the band does. Quote

So you basically twist the words of people on this forum to make a cheeky joke. Low level but its expected🤪 Theres no need to know who anybody is around here or how long we have been with the band, opinions are opinions. Failing to recognize that music is not charity though, needs to be adressed. And i agree, sealing tape or yo-yos are stupid ideas (im the first to say most of the t-shirts they make are bland af or corny), but if they get sales, they are right. Quote
Trumtram Posted Tuesday at 12:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:23 PM At least I'm not accusing a user of "Or are u maybe sore because u one of those LP died with Chester, Emily is in a cult, or who knows, maybe u are a GD band member lmao" So if you talk about low level, please check your own doorstep. And don't forget that you were actively pushing the narrative that some users on here are woman haters because they had an opinion (how crudly worded these might have been) about Emily. Quote

Not saying you are, but im glad you follow me that closely, means I inspire you😙 Nobody was pushing a narrative, I was showing the fact that in multiple socials there is a recognized and hate for women, and people not accepting that a woman can front Linkin Park. And seeing the comments of some users here, it was tracking pretty well in that direction (Id be glad to be proved wrong tho). Now if you want to believe that nobody hates women, that no people think Emily is in a cult, or that those same people accept gladly a women fronting a Rock Band then u are delusional and live in a yuppi world. And honestly, if thats the case, I'm jealous. And please do not keep this off-topic going, its disrespectful to other forum members. feel free to write me in private Quote
Trumtram Posted Tuesday at 12:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:41 PM I read stuff in the shoutbox, so... yeah, I can see what nonsense you like to spout. And to close this: You extrapolate the crazy stuff (which is despicable) from different forums/communities onto people over here on no ground other than "it was tracking". So next time you do so, gladly point at a concrete thing a concrete person said so that we all can see how you come to these conclusions, instead of keeping it vague and up for interpretation. I know what people write about the band and Emily out there (again, despicable), but that doesn't apply here at all (from all I can tell, at least). So, again, if you talk about being disrespectful, please be an example and not a driver. PS: Scientology is a cult, so make of that what you will. Quote
ScottiePippo Posted Tuesday at 01:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:08 PM I don't see what is the problem with Linkin park yoyos. They used to do skates and they were popular with some of the fan base Quote

I don’t think anyone HERE hates women or Emily. You’re taking the wrong impression here bro, people say despicable shit on the Internet but not here.
