RogueSoul Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Ladies and gentlemen, we are back! Rogue Soul is back on pre-show post duty (for now) after my excursion to India and I'm ready to get rolling back into tour mode with you, but perhaps this is the beginning of the end. The final leg of the From Zero World Tour kicks off tomorrow, Friday the 29th of May 2026 at the 3Arena in Stockholm, Sweden - the band's fourth show in the country and third show in Stockholm, and by far their biggest there yet! This will be Linkin Park's first show in Sweden in nine years, their last being on the One More Light European Tour when they headlined the Bråvalla Festival in Norrköpping. This summer 2017 setlist was one of the best we had seen in years, with the legendary 'Roads Untraveled' and 'Fallout' mashup show opener leading right into 'Talking To Myself.' The set was full of plenty of surprises including an old-school reunion during 'One Step Closer,' when Christian Lindskog of Blindside came out to perform with the band for the first time since 2003! New songs from One More Light dotted the set, including 'Heavy' and 'Invisible' while the band also found time to squeeze in a classic 'Points Of Authority' near the end of the main set. Some Fort Minor moments also found their way into the set, with 'Petrified' being rapped over the newly remixed section of the 'Castle Of Glass' Experience and a unique 'Remember The Name' intro to 'Numb,' as the song 'Remember The Name' usually preceded as an intro ('Waiting For The End') was not performed that night. Linkin Park's full performance at the Bråvalla Festival in Norrköpping, Sweden on June 29, 2017 - skip to 17:30 to see Christian from Blindside perform 'One Step Closer' with the band! Linkin Park's last show in Stockholm itself takes us way back 15 years (!) to the A Thousand Suns World Tour, when Linkin Park performed their first headlining show of their 2011 European Tour to the Ericsson Globe Arena (now the Avicii Arena), unleashing Set B16 upon Europe for the first time. Featuring an opening sequence of 'The Requiem,' 'The Radiance,' 'Faint,' 'Lying From You,' 'Given Up,' and a rare early set 'What I've Done,' you just know Sweden was in for some trouble that night. Other goodies from A Thousand Suns that made their way into the set included 'Burning In The Skies,' 'Iridescent,' and an encore opening 'Empty Spaces' and 'When They Come For Me.' The band made their first stop in Sweden at the crux of the Minutes To Midnight World Tour in May 2007, a headlining show at the Globe Arena being the second stop on the first proper leg of the tour. With Thirty Seconds To Mars and Blindside supporting, Linkin Park unleashed a lot of new music upon the country, with 'One Step Closer' opening the show before heavy hitters like 'Given Up' and 'No More Sorrow' made some of their first appearances. 'Leave Out All The Rest' and 'The Little Things Give You Away,' which had debuted at the show prior, were also taken for another spin while tracks like 'Don't Stay' and the piano version of 'Pushing Me Away' kept things going in between. Linkin Park's full show at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on June 14, 2011 - the A Thousand Suns World Tour stage setup and setlists were really something else! That show actually should've been Linkin Park's third show in the country, but their prior two appearances in the country were cancelled; the first was set for September 2001 to kick off the band's 2001 European Tour, but this show along with one in Fredericksburg, Denmark were cancelled, allegedly due to a "restructuring" of their US Tour, though we've never been able to find any official mention of this show or its cancellation on the Internet. Its existence is only known from a tour itinerary from 2001 that includes the date on it as well as a tour t-shirt found on Ebay that included it. Another show was set for the Hultsfred festival on the 2003 European Tour, but that entire tour had to be cancelled due to Chester being hospitalized with severe back and abdominal pains. Funnily enough (or perhaps not so funny for you Swedish fans), the band had a third show cancelled in Sweden in 2008 at the same Hultsfred festival, making it the only festival they've ever had to cancel on twice - the second cancellation was due to Brad being sick and under doctor's orders to rest. The next show at the Greenfield festival in Switzerland also had to be cancelled. If we go by the numbers, there's like a 50% chance this show actually happens... just kidding! All is looking good for a great show to kick off the final European leg of the tour! Linkin Park's last show on the From Zero World Tour was all the way down under in Auckland, New Zealand, wrapping up their Australian & New Zealand Tour in a big fashion. Performing Set B (with 'Iridescent' lyrics in the interludes), Act I saw the band rotate in 'Lying From You' and 'Points Of Authority, with 'Up From The Bottom' snugly in between before 'The Emptiness Machine' carried us into Act II. 'Castle Of Glass' was the LIVING THINGS rotation of the night before 'From The Inside' made an appearance for the fourth show in a row. 'Unshatter' made a rare appearance for the second time on the leg (second time in 2026 and fifth time ever) as the rotation song at the end of the act, right before Mike unleashed an insane medley of verses over his 'When They Come For Me/Remember The Name' solo medley. The medley included multiple choruses of 'Step Up' (with drums from Colin), 'Until It Breaks' verse 3, and the 'Lift Off' demo verse. We hope to see some similar Shinoda Shenanigans™ occur on this upcoming leg! too. Act III kept the surprises coming, with the recently revived 2017 Version of 'Leave Out All The Rest' making its second appearance in two shows since its last performances in 2024! The band kept the energy going in Act IV, with 'Overflow' featuring 'One' by 'Metallica' as its synth intro of the night. Emily stopped 'Faint' during the intro so a fan who had fallen could get some help (just like Chester did in Australia back in 2013 during a performance of 'Points Of Authority') before the band kicked back into things to end the main set. The encore finished things off with a bang, with 'Papercut,' 'Heavy Is The Crown,' and 'Bleed It Out' (with a verse of 'There They Go') closing out the night. The band's ventures in early 2026 were quite the interesting ride, and we're looking forward to seeing what happens on this last stretch! Linkin Park performing 'Leave Out All The Rest' at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on March 18, 2026. Will we see anymore of the 2024 songs make a comeback this summer? Can we expect any major surprises for the end of the tour? We haven't seen any Emily/Colin/Alex debuts yet this year, with the last being 'Lies Greed Misery' back in Boston last summer. Fans are still adamantly awaiting the return of 'With You' and 'Blackout' after they were mentioned as songs Colin and Emily want to perform live, and with the return of 'Leave Out All The Rest,' the door is opened for more tracks from the initial 2024 run that have since been dropped for more From Zero material to be reintroduced into the set. These include the likes of 'Lost In The Echo,' 'Breaking The Habit,' 'Friendly Fire,' and 'My December,' any of which would be great to see back in rotation! As seen with the one-off performance of 'All For Nothing' back in Arlington 2024 (still one of the craziest things to ever happen with this band live, btw), it's clear that the band don't mind whipping out something special to get the opening act involved - Clipse are opening for the band on this run of shows, and for those who don't know, Clipse is a hip-hop duo consisting of Malice and Pusha T. While Malice hasn't collab'ed with the band or its members (yet), fans will remember that Pusha T. featured on 'Good Goodbye' from One More Light. When the band performed the song in 2017, they performed a shortened live version that featured an extra verse from Mike, and the band performed the song with Stormzy (the song's other guest) at their two stops in London that tour. 'Good Goodbye' has never been performed with Pusha before, so maybe 2026 is the moment to complete the circle. What're your guesses as to what we'll see on this upcoming leg - more of the same, or is Linkin Park cooking up something special? Linkin Park will be supported by two groups for the majority of the upcoming tour: first up is the aforementioned Clipse. Initially active in the mid-90s and 2000s, Clipse have made a return to the scene in the last years and will be a good hip-hop precursor for what's to come at night. Their latest record, 2025's Let God Sort Em Out is chock full of trancey and dark instrumentals accentuated by carefully calculated verses and lyricism. Top tracks include 'Ace Trumpets' and 'Chains & Whips,' the latter featuring Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell. Following Clipse will be electronic outfit Phantogram. Featuring a dreamier yet just as urgent soundscape, Phantogram's music captures both intimate moments and massive ones, with tracks like 'Black Out Days' and 'When I'm Small' sure to be featured in their set. A fun fact about Phantogram - they are credited as the inspiration for Mike's 'What The Words Meant,' a bonus track from his Post Traumatic album. It's cool to see some things come full circle like this - and it'd be even cooler to see some collabs onstage with these great acts! Phantogram performing their song 'Black Out Days' at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, California on March 11, 2026. With the dark hip-hop vibes of Clipse and the ethereal pop rock of Phantogram, we will all be in for a great night of music! Who's going to the show? Rogue Soul pre-show post means WEATHERMAN ROGUE SOUL IS BACK with some good news! Friday is looking cool but sunny as the Nordic clouds disperse to make way for Linkin Park, so expect fair weather but the regular Stockholm chill with a high temperature of 19°C and a low of 9°C. If you're looking for a bite to eat before the show, look no further than the Linkin Buns truck on Arenaslingan 7 at 4:00pm - the first 500 fans get a free cinnamon bun! After this show, Linkin Park embarks on a pretty extensive run of German shows with two nights in Hamburg before their triumphant return to Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. I'm flying out to Germany on Saturday for the headline shows (+ Vienna), so I hope to see some of you out there! As always, we are looking for pictures or scans of a number of items from the band's 2025 and 2026 tour, including wristbands, tickets, setlists, exclusive pop-up store content, and more. If you have anything to contribute, check out our thread on the matter and submit your pictures directly to us - if they meet the mark we will get them uploaded to the show pages and credit you (and also blur your information out where applicable)! Last year we launched an LPLive Newsletter for those looking for more of a TL;DR version of what's going on with the tour than my pre-show posts - we'll be sending it out every couple of weeks so as to not flood your inbox, and will be bringing you an overview of both tour and general news updates, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already! We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)! ™Ac Quote
LPLStaff Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Good Goodbye doesn't get me too excited as a song, because it's one of the weaker OML songs, but at this point anything to change up the set is welcome. With You and Blackout would be really cool. It's interesting LP had 2 canceled shows in Sweden - HT and Meteora, before finally making it for MTM. Still remember the 2011 Stockholm show and the crowd going wild on Faint opening, when Faint was still new as an opener. Check this one. Man, we had it good. Cheers to the last leg of the tour! Quote
MMM Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) LOATR, Unshatter, LYF were back in oceania, so maybe now LITE or Friendly Fire. Maybe a chance that they will play some deepcuts like With You. Honestly I find Oceania softer setlists more interesting so I wouldn't miss heavy slot before OSC and songs like Given Up. FTI or LITE in that place would be great Edited May 28 by MMM Quote

cjv1991 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Very much not a fan of starting with the Emptiness Machine. The intro is just so clearly geared to leading into Somewhere I Belong. Both songs felt flat in the new placement. Although hearing a new into to TEM was at least kinda interesting. Quote
Fleur de Lys Posted Saturday at 02:26 PM Posted Saturday at 02:26 PM I think it is great they are finally changing the opening song, it's been over 2 years. We'll see if TEM will work better, I'll give it time. But maybe switching Papercut for SIB would also work, using the encore intro as an intro and vice versa... That would be huge energy from the start. Quote
CMONEVERYBODY15 Posted Saturday at 02:34 PM Posted Saturday at 02:34 PM Somebody have pictures of the merch sold there ? Quote

Emptiness chorus its really great it definitely helps to make the crowds go crazy since the beggining. it's the song that started this thing over again with the comeback show. best decision ever. bloodbath Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM Emptiness was the original opening song, I got used to SIB as an opener but Emptiness is the winner horse. Quote
matthewcannon Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM Woah, BTH sounds waaaaay better than two years ago. I'm huge fan of Ems clean vox. Well done Quote
FromTheInside Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM Hey guys, Maybe I'm stupid and I don't understand but what's up with those vocal backing tracks at the shows? I really don't like it. First Australia and now Europe. What's going on? I know there's vocal backing track in IGYEIH but Lost In The Echo and Lying From You? Studio vocal track of Emily's voice in both songs. Absolutely unnecessary. Quote

Nothing new but still debatable. At least for some parts it seems pretty unnecessary. But for the harmonies on LITE, it seems fine. I mean, there is no way Dave and Joe actually contribute to those harmonies live. Those full come from backing tracks. Cause again. LP creates tracks where you need 10 Mikes, 10 Emily’s, etc. Quote

I'm not a musician but I think it's possible. I just watched LITE live with Chester and I don't hear any vocal backing track. Am I deaf or just dont hear it? Maybe in chorus melody there's something but I'm not sure. When did Chester use these tracks live? I have watched a ton of live LP shows and videos and never noticed anything. In Lying From You chorus where Mike says "No, No turning back now" is Emily's vocal backing track. Why? That's Mike's part. Quote

I enjoyed every second of it. Edited Monday at 06:39 AM by RentEznor Quote
LPLStaff Posted Monday at 12:34 PM Posted Monday at 12:34 PM Love that BTH and Lost in the Echo return - big fan favorites and big requests. Awesome! SIB has the long intro again for just the second time. That's a benefit to it being mid-set again like the Launch Show. Emptiness is a bit awkward to start, maybe Emily should come out when her vocals start? Thoughts? Quote
LPLC24 Posted Monday at 12:55 PM Posted Monday at 12:55 PM I wonder what songs they will cut for the Download festival setlist. Their set is 1 hour 30 minutes whereas Wembley was around 1 hour 45 minutes. Quote

The Emily backup vocals sound like shit and totally unnecessary they sound really awkward. Specially the one they used in OSC "Just like before" Of course there are many parts that only Emily can hit but thats the magic of live shows let the other guys try to their best. Fuck backup vocals. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Tuesday at 12:19 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:19 AM Just listened to the ones on Lying man so cringe lol mike it's so damn smart why he decides to use that crap. Quote
LPLStaff Posted yesterday at 10:38 AM Posted yesterday at 10:38 AM The show doesn't really need any of these back-up sampled vocals. It indeed is a little odd. Two Faced's literally shouts the words lol. Lying From You. One Step Closer. The Lost in the Echo ones sound quite good but just let Dave, Joe, and Alex (primarily Alex) sing that. Quote
Vinescence Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I feel like this is the era they're using the most sampled-up vocals. Can anyone confirm it? Quote
