RogueSoul Posted Friday at 08:28 AM Posted Friday at 08:28 AM Ladies and gentlemen, the big day has come! We've been waiting for this one for quite some time. Linkin Park takes the From Zero World Tour back to London, England for its next stop, with the band performing a sold-out show at the legendary Wembley Stadium for what could be their biggest headlining show ever on June 28, 2025! Strap in, as we have quite the history lesson ahead! For the first time on the From Zero World Tour, today's history recap starts with more recent endeavors. Linkin Park's last show in London was just last year, on the initial run of dates in September that kicked off the From Zero Tour. The band performed at the city's O2 Arena, delivering new tracks 'The Emptiness Machine' and the second-ever performance of 'Heavy Is The Crown' after it was released earlier that day. London saw a whole slew of songs that are no longer in the current rotation in the debut of Set B (which features 'Iridescent' vocals in its interludes), including 'Leave Out All The Rest,' 'My December, 'Friendly Fire,' 'Breaking The Habit.' 'Keys To The Kingdom' rotated into the heavy spot mid-set, with Mike giving an LPLive shoutout beforehand! The band returned to the O2 Arena just over a month later to perform a special extended version of 'Heavy Is The Crown' (featuring parts of the Arcane version) for the League Of Legends Worlds Opening Ceremony as well. Linkin Park's performing 'Keys To The Kingdom' at the O2 Arena in London, England on September 24, 2024. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago since the From Zero World Tour started, but looking back at the early shows really tells you how far we've come in this cycle! Now diving further back into the past, the band's previous shows in London were a pair of back-to-back shows in July 2017 at the very end of the One More Light European Tour. Night One took place in the O2 Arena itself, while Night Two was a smaller show at the O2 Academy Brixton, labeled One More Night in London. Both shows featured a slew of One More Light tracks like 'Talking To Myself,' 'Invisible,' and 'Sharp Edges' while the band threw in a few extra rotation songs to extended the setlist as there was no opening act: Night One featured 'Somewhere I Belong' and 'From The Inside,' while Night Two saw 'Points Of Authority' and 'A Place For My Head.' A couple of extra surprises were thrown in, too: Stormzy joined the band for 'Good Goodbye,' which was performed in full for the first time ever at these two shows versus the shorter live version they had been playing on tour prior. Jon Green (many will remember him as the "shadow" member of the band during their Hollywood Bowl 2017 performance) also came out to play guitar and do vocals on 'Nobody Can Save Me.' To top it all off, Mike threw in a verse of 'Reading My Eyes' over the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out' on Night Two, with 'Bleed It Out' itself being featured in the main set for the first time since 2014. Earlier in 2017, the Mike and Chester also did a couple of special acoustic piano appearances in the city to promote the new record, too. Speaking of 2014, that was when Linkin Park made their next most-recent visit to London with another pair of back-to-back shows at the O2 Arena to round out The Hunting Party European Tour. These were the band's last full shows of the year, and they certainly brought a punch to the setlists! Featuring an assortment of tracks from the new album including 'Guilty All The Same' opening and 'Final Masquerade,' Linkin Park's setlist brought all of the dynamics of their discography together in an eclectic way as shortened songs allowed for more tracks to be fit into the show. Austin Carlile, the former lead vocalist of Of Mice & Men, joined the band to perform 'Faint' at these shows, while current-vocalist and lead guitarist Aaron Pauley came onstage to sing the 'Iridescent' portion of the Ballad Medley with them. Night One featured Set B with 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' and a 'Points Of Authority' verse in the encore during the 'Until It's Gone' transition, while Night Two saw a re-arranged encore with 'Crawling' and a 'With You' verse during the transition. Linkin Park performing 'A Place For My Head' at the Brixton Academy in London, England on July 4, 2017. Linkin Park's two-night stays are always a treat, and the pair in 2017 were no exception! While there was no proper European Tour for the band to visit London on the Living Things World Tour, they did stop there three times during the A Thousand Suns World Tour. The latter stop took place in July 2011, a performance at the iTunes Festival being the band's final European show on the cycle. The band delivered a nasty start to the set with 'The Requiem,' 'The Radiance,' 'Papercut,' 'Lying From You,' and 'Given Up' before diving into tracks like 'When They Come For Me,' 'No More Sorrow,' and 'From The Inside.' The band whipped out all the big stops here, while also delivering an iconic moment in the encore: Mike and Chester doing a piano version of Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep!' Some tracks from this show were released on the iTunes Festival live EP, as well. A pair of headlining show at the O2 Arena in November 2010 also concluded Linkin Park's first A Thousand Suns European Tour, and was the site of the first ever LPU Summit. Night One featured a standard early A Thousand Suns-era setlist, opening with 'The Requiem' into 'Wretches and Kings' before diving back into the classics. Night Two had more surprises, with the band performing a soundcheck for fans earlier in the day and also delivering 'Leave Out All The Rest' and 'The Messenger' acoustic for the first time for fans. The show itself was just as exciting as 'Fallout' and 'The Catalyst' opened the show for the very first time (one of two times on the whole tour) before 'What I've Done,' 'Papercut,' and 'Wretches and Kings' kept the night alive. This show also saw the return of 'From The Inside' for the first time since 2009 after it was rehearsed at the soundcheck earlier in the day. Going back to the Minutes To Midnight World Tour, not only did the band start their tradition of back-to-back nights in London at the O2 Arena to round out the Minutes To Midnight Winter European Tour, but they even played a different city called London (in Ontario, Canada) later that year, too. While the Canada show doesn't exactly fit the bill for this history lesson, the two shows in London, England left a huge impact. The band played two very different setlists between the two nights, with Set T appearing on Night One. This set featured the likes of a 'What I've Done' opening with its epic AMBO Intro followed by 'Faint,' 'No More Sorrow,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'Lying From You,' 'From The Inside,' and 'Points Of Authority' to launch the band's stay in the city with epic proportions. 'Hands Held High' saw an uncommon full band performance while other tracks like 'Valentine's Day' and a stripped 'My December' kept the highlights going throughout the night. Mike even performed a short piano cover of Rihanna's 'Umbrella' at a point in the night! And the night wouldn't be complete with an epic second encore of 'A Place For My Head' with a guitar solo intro right into 'One Step Closer' with its brand new extended outro. Night Two opened with 'No More Sorrow' and its long intro, with 'Don't Stay' and 'Somewhere I Belong' keeping the energy going. The band subbed in more tracks like 'The Little Things Give You Away' and a rare 'In Between' to keep things interesting. The band also made some promo appearance in 2007 in the city to promote Minutes To Midnight, playing a full set at London's Astoria. This early-era show saw 'Given Up,' 'No More Sorrow,' and 'What I've Done' fresh off of their debuts while also delivering other epic moments, like 'One Step Closer' opening the show with its gunshot intro and 'Faint' closing with its new extended outro. Linkin Park's full set from the iTunes Festival in London, England on July 4, 2011. An epic setlist and proshot recording, this set featured all the classics as well as a special acoustic cover of 'Rolling In The Deep' by Adele in the encore. Linkin Park last visited London before this on their 2003 Fall Tour in the UK during the Meteora World Tour. Taking place at Wembley Arena (which is right outside Wembley Stadium), this short tour featured a very unique setlist opening with 'Papercut' before diving into rarer cuts like 'It's Goin' Down' and a live version of 'Nobody's Listening' that featured an extended second verse with Mike's verse from 'Standing In The Middle' and a mashup with a number of old-school rap tracks. The encore also featured both 'My December' and 'P5hng Me A*wy' from Reanimation. While the band made a number of promotional appearances in London early in 2003 (including a Top Of The Pops performance that included a soundcheck involving a mashup of 'A.06' and Deftones' 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' - come to mention it, all their promo London appearances that year featured 'A.06' after adamant fans kept requesting it), they also played one headlining show at the Brixton Academy where fans were treated to brand new Meteora songs right after the album's release, which included the likes of 'Session,' 'Hit The Floor,' and 'Easier To Run,' the last of which featured partially on a video on the LPU 4.0 CD. The band's first year of touring Europe took them to London for over six appearances in 2001 during the Hybrid Theory World Tour, the final of which was a highly acclaimed show at the Docklands Arena. With a proshot released online of this show for LPLive's 6th Anniversary in 2012, many fans will be familiar with it as the band whipped out an iconic setlist featuring both Hybrid Theory essentials and b-sides. 'And One' and 'High Voltage' made appearances here, the latter of which was released on the LPU 2.0 CD alongside 'With You.' The encore featured surprises here too with 'My December,' the Joe Hahn 'Blow Your Mind' interlude, and 'By Myself' before the band jammed 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns 'N' Roses prior to 'One Step Closer,' on which Marky Chavez from Adema and Wes Scantlin from Puddle Of Mudd joined them for. The band performed for BBC Radio One's Lamacq Live a few days earlier too, playing Hybrid Theory pretty much in full barring 'Cure For The Itch' and 'High Voltage.' Another show at Brixton Academy concluded the band's US-To-Europe Tour in the early summer, seeing the band open with a thrilling combination of 'A Place For My Head' and 'Forgotten.' To start the encore, Chester came out with an acoustic guitar and sang his song 'Morning After' for the first time ever, something he only did a handful of times in 2001. This song would eventually become part of his side-project Dead By Sunrise, releasing as the Japanese bonus track on their album Out Of Ashes in 2009. The band played also played the Docklands Arena twice that year, though the first was for an opening set on the Deftones' Back To School Tour in March, on which the band also squeezed in their first Top Of The Pops appearance earlier in the tour. The band's very first appearances in London, England were in January of 2001, with a set for BBC Radio One's Evening Session and their very first show in England ever at Tutu's. With all of this considered, today's show will be Linkin Park's 30th overall appearance in London, and their 17th full performance in the city, and we can say with pretty high confidence that the show in 2025 will be one of, if not the most important show the band has played in London yet! Linkin Park's full show AND soundcheck from their 2003 Top Of The Pops performance. Lots of very interesting moments in this soundcheck, including a 'My Own Summer' and 'A.06' mashup as well as a 'Dialate' jam at one point! Now with that all out of the way, let's dive back into the present. Linkin Park's last show of the From Zero World Tour took place in Arnhem, Netherlands as the band settles back into headlining shows this week. Even half-way through their European Tour, Linkin Park continues to whip out surprises as the night kicked off with Inception Intro C (with the 'Burn It Down' theme) went into 'Somewhere I Belong' followed by 'Points Of Authority,' being performed for the first time in nine shows at Greenville, South Carolina. 'New Divide' and 'Castle Of Glass' made their return after being dropped from the last two festival shows, bringing the set back up to its full capacity. 'Stained' made its second appearance in a row for its fourth ever performance, while 'IGYEIH' made its European debut with its third performance ever and its first run since Greenville. During his solo medley, Mike celebrated the anniversary of Living Things by whipping out a super rare verse: 'Lies Greed Misery' verse one made an appearance, it being the first time the song has appeared in any capacity in a set since Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2014. Before he dove into it, Mike also took a second to shoutout LPLive and LPAssociation for helping him keep track of all the anniversaries lately - it's our pleasure, Mike! The surprises don't end there - the number game for 'Numb' returned, with a fan with an "Emily Flip Me Off" sign picking number two which was the "Johnny Cash train shuffle" for the 'Numb/Encore' intro. Mike performed 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem over the intro of 'Overflow' for the first time ever, and the night's surprises rounded out with 'Let You Fade' returning to the encore. A very busy night for both us and the Netherlands, but Linkin Park certainly made their impact on the country once again! What can we expect to hear at Wembley? First of all, this could very possibly be the biggest show the band has ever headlined, with Wembley Stadium having a maximum capacity of 90,000. The band recently broke their own attendance record for a headlining show with their show in Berlin, Germany last week with almost 75,000 in attendance, followed by a huge festival crowd of 78,000 in Milan, Italy for I-Days, but both of these may be shattered with a sold-out Wembley. As we know by now with this tour, it's pretty much impossible to predict what the band will want to do setlist-wise on a nightly basis. However, we're at the point where 90% of the songs they've had on rotation this year have shown up. The main song we have missed in Europe so far is 'Keys To The Kingdom,' which is surprising considering Mike has been keeping up with album anniversaries lately yet skipped over The Hunting Party last week. This song appeared only once on the U.S. leg in May in the heavy rotation, with the band opting for 'Casualty,' 'Given Up,' or IGYEIH' instead. With all three of those seen thus far once in the spot, this could mean that 'Keys' is lined up to take the spot in London again. However, considering that 'Keys To The Kingdom' was ALSO the rotation song at the band's show last year, we wouldn't be surprised if they decide to change it up and play one of the other songs instead - 'Given Up' was a great choice for Berlin as the massive crowd reacted to it in a massive way. 'Cut The Bridge' seems to have been sent back to the rotation slot after having been dropped in Arnhem after 'Points Of Authority' returned, so it looks like that early slot is also up to four different possible songs between 'Cut The Bridge,' 'Lying From You,' 'Points,' and 'From The Inside.' With two 'Stained' performances in a row, it seems likelier that the band will switch things up with 'Good Things Go' or 'Over Each Other' at this show. And for the encore slot, it seems like the choice is in our hands: Mike took to Twitter for another poll, asking fans to vote for one song to be played tomorrow between 'Let You Fade,' 'A Place For My Head,' and 'Points Of Authority.' As of the time of posting this, 'A Place For My Head' is in the lead followed closely by 'Points.' What the setlist may contain is anyone's best guess, but let's hear your predictions! Mike performing his solo medley of 'When They Come For Me' and 'Remember The Name' with Colin featuring verse one of 'Lies Greed Misery' and an LPLive shoutout at the Gelredome in Arnhem, Netherlands on June 26, 2025. It's a pleasure serving both the community and the band members themselves, apparently! 😅 The band has two killer opening acts ready to set the tone before they go on: JPEGMAFIA and Spiritbox! JPEGMAFIA played his first show of the tour with the band at I-Days in Italy, playing a fairly substantial set with material both from his new record and throughout his discography. With new cuts like 'SIN MIEDO' and 'i scream this in the mirror before i interact with anyone,' JPEG's more subversive hip-hop vibe offers a time for the grit to build in the venue. Other tracks like 'SCARING THE HOES' and 'Lean Beef Patty' from his collaboration album with Danny Brown will also bring some fun energy to the set before Spiritbox brings their ethereal, dark energy to the stage. Spiritbox absolutely blew the place up with their last two shows with the band, opening with two cuts from their new record Tsunami Sea: 'Fata Morgana' and 'Black Rainbow.' They whipped out other essentials like 'Circle With Me' and 'Jaded' to really bring the crowd in before closing the set with a couple more cuts from the new record including 'Soft Spine' and 'No Loss, No Love.' The band has curated an excellent array of opening artists for the From Zero World Tour, and this show in London certainly has two of the top artists lined up before them. Don't miss them if you can make it! Spiritbox performing their song 'Black Rainbow' at the Gelredome in Arnhem, Netherlands on June 26, 2025. If you're a fan of metal and heavy music in general, you simply cannot miss Spiritbox's opening set for Linkin Park! Who's going to the show? It seems like this'll be one of the biggest gatherings of Linkin Park fans since 2024 (possibly even before that), with a whole slew of big guests from the community will be there! From LPLive alone, Hahninator (Mark), AndOne (Jonas), sckofelng (Garo), and PEPPEPARK will all be in attendance, as well as other beloved members of the community including Jon Barker of LPFuse, just to name a couple. Adam Ruehmer and even very possibly Brad Delson may also be around, so keep your eyes peeled for pretty much everyone you could think of at Wembley! Unfortunately our beautiful day streak is ending, but that doesn't mean it'll be a bad day - on the contrary, though it'll be cloudy, it'll be a hot 29°C (I know you UK guys don't do manage well with the heat) during the day before dipping down to a nice 17°C at night, so dress lightly for the show and stay hydrated! If you're around today or before the show tomorrow, Linkin Park has plenty for you to do between your sightseeing! A pop-up store will be open on Old St. in London featuring exclusive merch and classic designs. The store will be open from 11am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and will remain open on Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. A few fan meetups have also been planned by the band, with a gathering at Waxy O'Connor's on Friday night starting at 8pm and at Boxpark Wembley from noon to 4pm tomorrow. Lastly, fans are putting together a fan documentary surrounding Linkin Park's Wembley Stadium show and are requesting clips to be submitted, so check that out if you are interested in participating! After this show, the band heads back to Germany for a headlining show in Düsseldorf before taking on the final festivals of the tour in Rock Werchter in Belgium and the Open'er Festival in Poland before wrapping up the leg with two headlining shows in Frankfurt and a massive show in Saint Denis, France. The band has a few weeks off following their France show before kicking up a massive second round of United States tour dates at the end of July going all the way into September. We've been updating our Linkinpedia show pages over the last few weeks leading up to the tour with new features like more statistics, highlighting rotation songs, a banner at the top of the guide, and lots more, so be sure to head over there and explore what we've been up to! We've also recently launched an LPLive Newsletter for those looking for more of a TL;DR version of what's going on with the tour than my pre-show posts - we'll be sending it out every couple of weeks so as to not flood your inbox, but we'll be bringing you an overview of both tour and general news updates in these, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already! And if you haven't noticed, we've made some upgrades to our LPLive and Linkinpedia servers so both sites should be running a lot more smoothly now! We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)! JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Sunday at 05:02 PM Posted Sunday at 05:02 PM I wonder why they didn't plan this show properly, it was their biggest headlining show why they didn't do it during night time? the production that they have is really awesome, the lasers, screens etc are desinged to be used on a dark location. Sucks for the fans who attended the show that they didn't experience that. Quote

Yucker Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM There's probably a curfew by local laws that put a limit on how long can a show be at night. Brad was at this show too, he appears on a pre show pic posted by Colin on Instagram. Quote

BeardyWilderness Posted Sunday at 06:28 PM Posted Sunday at 06:28 PM In addition to curfews, most people travel to London shows via train as driving in London is a nightmare, plus expensive. if it went on any later, people would miss their last trains and be stranded. Quote
