RogueSoul Posted Saturday at 02:39 AM Posted Saturday at 02:39 AM We're back and about to hit the halfway point of the first U.S. leg of the From Zero World Tour, and the band is heading east! The fourth stop on the tour takes us to Baltimore, Maryland at the CFG Bank Arena on May 3, 2025! This'll be the band's fourth show in the Baltimore area, and the first in 17 years! The last time they played in the city was in 2008 on the Winter North American Tour, playing the 1st Mariner Arena (same venue, old name). Early 2008 is notorious for having some of the best opening runs in Linkin Park's live history amongst their setlists. Set R-2 was played here, opening with a run of 'No More Sorrow' with its long intro, 'Don't Stay,' 'From The Inside,' 'Wake' into 'Given Up,' 'Lying From You,' 'Papercut,' and 'Points Of Authority.' That'd probably send us into pure chaos in 2025! Other goods from Minutes To Midnight like 'The Little Things Give You Away,' 'Shadow Of The Day,' and 'Valentine's Day' also made appearances in the set. The band brought both Minutes To Midnight and Meteora goods to Baltimore for the first time as the band didn't hit the city on that touring cycle. The last time the band played in Baltimore before that was in December 2000, right off the release of Hybrid Theory. The band played a series of headlining club shows around the Northeast around this time, which included a stop in Baltimore's Fletchers. The band's very first time in the area was just a few months earlier in September 2000, where they opened for Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High' Tour, playing the stop in Towson early on the tour. We don't have setlists or any info about these shows other than that they happened, so if you or anyone you know went to one, be sure to let us know! There's a lot of catching up to do since their last time in the city, and we know Linkin Park have some surprises under their belt still! Take it back to the good ol' days with this... let's call it nostalgic-quality clip of Linkin Park performing 'Papercut' live at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on February 19, 2008. Linkin Park played their last show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and certainly surprised us eagle-eyed setlist watchers as well as fans at the show! Set C5 made its first appearance on the tour, and delivered some rotations that may reveal that Linkin Park is trying something new this leg. After Inception Intro C (with the 'Burn It Down' theme) and 'Somewhere I Belong' opened the show, the band shockingly played 'Cut The Bridge' for a second show in a row, fresh off its live debut in Tulsa, Oklahoma the show before. So far, the only other song to feature in this spot so far has been 'Lying From You,' which was played at the first night in Set A in Austin, Texas. Continuing through Act 2, which featured new additions to the set like 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Where'd You Go' by Fort Minor, the next surprise came during Mike's solo medley. He went into the crowd as has become tradition during the extended bit of the solo, and after giving his hat to a fan named Mike, he rapped verse one of 'Petrified' before going into 'Remember The Name!' The band kept delivering as 'Keys To The Kingdom' roared back into the mix right after, being performed for only the third time this year (previously in Zapopan, Mexico and night two in Saitama, Japan)! Another repeat rotation came with 'Over Each Other' (rotating with 'Good Things Go' in Tulsa), which featured in Set A in Austin. 'Overflow' once again featured Mike playing a bit of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence,' and Colin was challenged to a Bossa Nova style intro to 'Numb.' The final rotation of the night in the encore was the second repeat of Set C with 'From The Inside' getting some more limelight for a second show in a row. Mike sent the crowd off right with verse one of 'Reading My Eyes' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' the first time he's ripped that verse since Incheon last year! With rotation repeats in Michigan, we have a lot of questions going into a show where we'd usually be pretty certain of what would be coming at this point of the tour! If the band follows suit with the regular rotation (which seems likely given there are only two more arena shows up after Baltimore), Maryland is lined up for Set A, which featured 'Lying From You,' 'Casualty,' 'Over Each Other,' and 'A Place For My Head' as rotation songs. However, it seems that the band may be switching up how they do their rotations this leg. It's too soon to tell, but it's possible that the "ABC" part of the set could only refer to the theme used between the intros and interludes in the set, and that the rotations are randomly decided by the band. We'll find out in Baltimore what exactly the case is, but we will definitely be watching. Mike said in an interview while the band was beginning rehearsals that they have been working up "three... maybe five" songs for the setlists for the upcoming legs, to which Emily clarified "three new ones, at least." If new ones could be referring to 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Cut The Bridge,' we are still waiting on a third to make an appearance. 'IGYEIH,' 'Stained,' and 'Unshatter' are all yet to receive a live debut, and would fit right in with any of the rotation slots. It's entirely possible the third song is 'Where'd You Go,' however... but if there are five total songs being added to the set, there's a lot of possibilities for what could be left. 'QWERTY' and 'No More Sorrow' have been big fan requests these past months leading up the tour. The show after this in North Carolina takes place on Emily's birthday, so perhaps the band has something special in store for her then - she's personally requested 'Blackout' and 'Lies Greed Misery' so far. Her other request, 'Where'd You Go,' has already made it. We have to wait and see what happens, but we'll have you covered on whatever goes down. A full recording of the band's show in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 1, 2025! This is a fantastic recording with some of the best audio we've heard all tour, so check it out if you're staying caught up with the tour! grandson is opening on this leg of the tour, and he's as excited to be there as we are! A massive fan of Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda collaborator ('Running From My Shadow' from Post Traumatic), grandson is making a statement while preparing fans for the band during his opening set. He comes out with a brand new song (apparently titled 'Burn You') before whipping out his older cut 'Oh No!!!,' then dives into another new track possibly titled 'Self-Immolation.' After a 'Masters Of War' by Bob Dylan cover, grandson carries on his set with a bunch of his own classics like 'We Did It!!!' and 'Stigmata.' After one more new song called 'BRAINROT,' grandson closes out with his biggest single 'Blood // Water.' If you can make it out early enough for his set, be sure to catch him! Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul (yours truly) will be making his 2025 tour debut at this one, and will be braving the weather on the way down from New Jersey to jam with you guys! The National Weather Service has placed Baltimore under a slight risk of severe weather tomorrow, which means that it's possible some stronger storms roll through Baltimore and surrounding areas through the day. Dress for rain, and be prepared for some rain, lightning, and possibly even hail on the way over to the show! Drive safe, and if you see me there be sure to say hi! 90% chance I will be getting some drinks, so if you're in the 100s sections be warned: Rogue Soul is on the loose! The band has a few days off before the next show - they'll be heading down the coast with two more arenas shows in North Carolina and South Carolina before things wrap up later in the month with festivals in Ohio and Florida. The next show in Raleigh - May 6 - is Emily's birthday, so it'll definitely be an exciting one! LPLive founder Hahninator/Mark will be at these four upcoming shows, as well. LPLive has been at pretty much every show of this tour (Tulsa is the only one we missed), and it's been a fun ride seeing the band and you guys, too! We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)! LPLStaff Posted Saturday at 11:50 AM Posted Saturday at 11:50 AM Come on back to the set, Lying From You! Quote
LPLStaff Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM Definitely didn't see Stained coming - thought that third rotation song may be Unshatter. Points is good. Quote
Stranger Posted yesterday at 06:33 AM Posted yesterday at 06:33 AM good shot of "Stained" live debut! Quote
NimaLP Posted yesterday at 07:20 AM Posted yesterday at 07:20 AM I know a lot of people here hate Stained, but I really enjoy listening to it. However, watching and listening to the live version, it's really annoying. I wouldn't miss this song on the setlist if they never played it ever again. I guess they were hoping that this song would do good live because people can sing-along to the melody, but it's not a very energetic song, neither very emotional to get people excited for that. MMM Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM (edited) Yes. I guess the only reason they played it is because they want to play everything from the original FZ. And it's one of Colin's favorite songs. I hope it will stay for a short time like InBetween. Edited yesterday at 07:46 AM by MMM Quote
DaweLP1 Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM (edited) I love Stained, but I would even suggest Overflow to start rotating a bit so no need to listen to me 😂 for example with Powerless, or some upgraded ballad medley, where instead of Iridescent would be No Roads Left with both Mike and Emily singing at the same time 😂 Edited yesterday at 07:48 AM by DaweLP1 Quote
RogueSoul Posted yesterday at 07:49 AM Author Posted yesterday at 07:49 AM MY BELOVED STAINED 😭 I can't believe I was in the building for my baby's debut. Looks like they've completely changed the game up on us. No more of the Set ABC business! Quote

Qwerty18 Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM Stained live is cool for the sake of completeness, i though the guitars in the verses added some edge as well. But I think Emily seems to struggle a bit to hit those notes, and fluctuate between them. May need additional practice, or may be just me. Quote
Ahfack Posted yesterday at 01:53 PM Posted yesterday at 01:53 PM Yeah I love Stained, but wouldn't want to give up Good Things Go for it. On some days GTG is my fav FZ song, just like PMA was my fav HT track some days. I LOVE Nathan's raw pit experience video on yt Quote
martinez Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago GTG and CTB are great tracks amongst other on FZ, but just based on the videos I saw the live performance of both haven't convinced me that much, that I would want to have them on the set. There's moments Emily doesn't sound great on them. Quote
YRQRM0 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I'm surprised Stained came befoer IGYEIH It'll be cool to get IGYEIH and finally have a complete LP album again Also if we don't get a proshot of Mike's solo one day it will be a huge miss, it's so fun Quote

bloodbath Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Anyone else is enjoying this trend of having shows every 3, 4 days? I don't care what they play, I'm truly happy with this tour so far Quote

I don't care what they play, I'm truly happy with this tour so far definitely the same with me, i get weird enjoyment out of waking up & looking at the setlist changes too. the european leg will be especially fun since there'll be shows one right after the other for about a month, & even if i won't be attending any of those it's still exciting edit: that'll just be the start though because i forgot how much longer the second american leg is too 😂 like twenty five shows right, man it's gonna keep being so fun Edited 14 hours ago by hybridcloudyfz Quote
Bebro Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Sad to see some people saying that stained is the worst FZ song. Do you really rate how good a song is based on how heavy it is? Quote

Don't think it has to do with the heaviness and more with how 2010's pop the chorus sound, which is not a style that's for everyone, and also not what some people may want LP to sound like. I really like Stained personally. Edited 6 hours ago by Qwerty18 Quote
