LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 05:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:40 PM Linkin Park has posted a professionally mixed video of "Good Things Go" live in Guadalajara, Mexico earlier this month. Long-time audio mixer and studio engineer Ethan Mates is responsible for the mix, like all of the other From Zero era material, and Mark Fiore of course is behind the video. This is the second performance of the song, on February 3rd, after being debuted live in Mexico City the show prior. The song immediately became a fan-favorite on the new album and was highly requested by fans for the band to play live to which they happy obliged. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM FUCK FUCK FUCK FUUUUUUUCKING AMAZING Quote
LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 06:02 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:02 PM Have always wanted LP to go the route of Metallica and release live songs throughout the tour like they do. This is a new approach this cycle and it's solid - they are professionally mixing stuff and dropping live videos consistently. And important... it's of stuff people want to see. Next step... a new live downloads site with some shows? Doesn't have to be everything but imagine more consistent live releases from the tours (and the vault). This sounds good. Quote
felipeintheend Posted Tuesday at 06:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:16 PM WOW Loved the mix of it! Incredible audio quality. Quote
LeonardoMF93 Posted Tuesday at 06:31 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:31 PM I think it's a dream come true for all longtime Linkin Park fans, the amount of live performance videos the band has been releasing. Now, since the album's release, we haven't had any new music videos. Are we not getting any more? Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Tuesday at 06:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:45 PM They should keep releasing live videos, atleast one video per month or every two months would be nice. Im still surprised that they didn't chose GTG as a single, pretty sure that it would do great, they still have time but LP never does things backwards. Quote
lpplus Posted Tuesday at 06:56 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:56 PM this is awesome Overflow next PLZ oh and maybe FTI and FF and I would like to see this hybrid version of LOST does anyone else think youtube fucked up the quality of this video? Quote
AccessibleProductions Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM It made me so happy to see this! As a producer myself, I hate that pitch-correcting "official" live performances are the normality. Emily & Mike are incredible live vocalists, they're very raw and emotional...but the post-processing takes a lot of character out of it. If you watch a fan recording of it and then hear the official audio, the difference is instantly clear. Still a great video, I'm just nit-picky as a producer AND musician. [It's not the band's FAULT either, this is seemingly how every live performance is released these days...even The Voice and American Idol pitch correct their "live performances"]. Quote
MMM Posted Tuesday at 11:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:55 PM (edited) Yeah Definitely most pitch corrected LP clip ever XD. I'm waiting for FTI from Jakarta. It was awesome. Best old song with Emily IMO. Maybe they'll release it on meteora anniversary. Edited Tuesday at 11:57 PM by MMM Quote

javignacio Posted Wednesday at 02:57 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:57 AM I really want all the setlist as videos, but if not at least all live debuts (KTTK where are you). I hope in this break we get more videos. GTG is an amazing song Quote

linkin_boss Posted Wednesday at 05:24 AM Posted Wednesday at 05:24 AM It's nice that we're getting more new songs live as pro shots. I hope we soon get some of the older songs, too. As nice as it is to have the September 5th streaming, some songs have gotten a lot better over time. I know we will eventually get the Brazil show, but it would be cool if they released single videos of the songs that aren't on that setlist (FTI, Overflow, and so on), so there's a good video of every song played on the tour. leftshoe18 Posted Wednesday at 02:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:25 PM I feel like this doesn't translate very well live at all. Hopefully it improves with time as it's played more, but the dynamic vocals from the studio version are sorely missed here and it comes out really flat as a result. Quote
Trumtram Posted Wednesday at 02:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:32 PM I'm confused: Why is it lower than the studio version? It lacks compared to the recorded version IMO. Quote

I had the opportunity to see it live, it definitely sounds tiny live plus low volume at shows.. this mixed version sounds great, i think that the song need another element to sound better live, probably play it faster? add heavier guitars? they need to make it sound big. MMM Posted Wednesday at 05:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:17 PM (edited) Yes I had a same feeling. Definitely they havent plans to perform it live. Most production like song. Most effects and I think even pitch correction in chorus especially after hearing Acapella. But we should be proud that in this era LP plays what fans wants most Edited Wednesday at 05:20 PM by MMM Quote
DystopianBy Posted Wednesday at 06:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:16 PM I wonder what parts Joe was playing so hard during song cause I can't hear them Quote
