hahninator Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Big news - Linkin Park has announced they are taking a new step in South America and visiting Peru for the first time! The band will headline Lima, Peru's Estadio Nacional on May 11th, 2017!"We are thrilled to announce our very first show in the beautiful city of Lima, Peru. Come see us May 11, 2017 at the Estadio Nacional. See you soon. #LinkinParkEnPeru2017" Peru joins Brazil and Argentina in the South American Tour...with room for possibly at least one more show. This is the first headlining, non-festival show announcement of the touring cycle so far. The full list 2017 tour dates can be found here.Exciting! Quote
felipeintheend Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Very happy for them! I have a great old trader friend from there who wish that since the begin. Next Chile. Quote
RickLPL Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 congrats fans from Peru!there's no sound in that video Quote
hahninator Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 If they stay in South America for one week, it looks like there is room for one more show on the 8th or 9th. Maybe Chile. I'd be surprised if they don't do a Brazil headlining show though. Quote
linkinepi Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 This is awesome. At last. Very happy for the Peru fans! Quote

It would be awesome for Linkin Park to do a proper South American Tour in every possible country. Also, I would love for them to announce more shows in Brazil and Argentina but I think it's not probable. :fingers crossed: Edited December 11, 2016 by HybridT Quote

Here is a picture how the setup looks like: Edited December 17, 2016 by LinkInThePark Quote
marzo23 Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Maybe they will change the stage to the left or to the right and the crowd will be raise to 30.000 or more Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Maybe they will change the stage to the left or to the right and the crowd will be raise to 30.000 or more I mean they already have 20.000 after 24 hours.Maybe they will get 40.000 at the end. But LP is using this setup quiet a lot for big stadiums like in Kuala Lumpur or China Quote
Geki Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Amazing about the band selling over 20,000 within the first 24 hours of pre-sale. Quote
hahninator Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 That's incredible. How many tickets were sold? 40,000? 50,000? LP hasn't done something like this in forever. Too bad Peru wasn't at the end of the tour, they could have added a second show. Quote

lpgiu Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) Actually around 26k guys, the band won't accept more than that amount. People here are crazy about make it full stadium but the producers say the band won't let that happen. And yes, we would've love to have a 2nd date, too bad it's not possible =(. Do you have any idea why the band isnt allowing more than 26k? The gig in Peru will be the most amazing show in South America since São Paulo 2004. im sure about this. Quote

For what we've been told, seems the band is focusing more on the experience than big audiences. That works great for me, but I feel bad for the ones that couldn't get tickets. The expectations are huge, we can't wait! Quote
