JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Stone Temple Pilots will be performing on Jay Leno tonight, October 3rd. Who will be watching? What do you think they will play? 'Out Of Time' or 'Black Heart'? Source here and here. EDIT: They performed their latest single 'Black Heart'. Download here (Dimeadozen). Source: Twitter Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 The upcoming night, not this night. Thursday, October 3rd. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 awesome sorry gor the mistake im almost dreaming Quote
Skipees Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It's proshot time... Probably Out Of Time and Black Heart. Quote
Geki Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 This is awesome.. Gonna watch Jay Leno tonight. Finally a HQ version of Out Of Time (besides the horrible Weenie Roast rip) and Black Heart live!!! Quote
hahninator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I would assume Black Heart and Out Of Time as well. Quote
xLinkinpark0562x Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Out of Time and/or Black Heart, I'm assuming, and if someone records this, this could be the very first HQ/HD recording of STPWCB and the only other video source besides KROQ!! can't wait for tonight!! Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Why is everyone assuming that they'll play two songs? Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Why is everyone assuming that they'll play two songs? That's how talk shows usually work. If they do play two they'll probably only show one though. Quote
Astat Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Leno performances are nearly always one song, IIRC. Same with Letterman. Quote
LPFreak64 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I attend Leno earlier this year and I can confirm that only one song was performed at the taping. Quote
Skipees Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Yeah it's always one song, I guess I just confused with another talk show. Quote
Geki Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I bet the song 1 song that will be performed is Out Of Time. Still decent, though. We will finally have a HQ live version besides the Out Of Time rip from Weenie Roast that is bad quality. Quote
Astat Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Yeah, even though Black Heart is the more recently-released song, Out of Time is still getting a ton of radio airplay. I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T play OOT. Quote
Kirstie Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Do live performances from Jay Leno end up on the internet fairly quickly? Or will someone rip it for us non American folk? Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 D7 will record it from TV for us. It should be on the internet pretty quickly also because the scene groups release the full episodes just like all the other tv shows. Quote
Kirstie Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Thank you, hopefully I'll be able to watch it when I get up tomorrow. Do bands just perform or do they have a little chat with Jay Leno too? Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 As far as I know bands usually just perform there. Quote
Andros Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) This reminds me back to 2009, when DBS performed on David Letterman in October Edited October 4, 2013 by MacGyver Quote
Geki Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Black Heart was played Source Didn't see that coming. Awesome. I would rather have a HQ version of Black Heart. Quote
maik_gianino Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Watch "live": http://t.co/8jGZy0vJJ8 Quote
Numbrocker Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Looks like it was just a quick performance of Black Heart. I'm not sure if Leno even mentioned the album, but instead just held up the album. :/ However, the band sounded great. I'm glad they did Black Heart. I can't wait to see someone else post the link because my stream wasn't the best quality. Quote
Geki Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Jay mentioned High Rise and they played Black Heart. It was a good performance, they sounded solid IMO. What did you guys expect? We knew it would be only one song aired. Lol. Quote
