HT in full - c'mon, no brainer!

I'm going to try and get my shit together and be there. I probably won't camp but I might do the whole weekend.

I might wait for a few more bands to be put on the line-up, but I am keen to get the money off deal before the 8th :/

who's down?

I Might go but am waiting for more tour dates to be announced though :)

this too. If they do HT in full on tour I'd pick that over Download.

I'm going to wait until December. If we've heard nothing about a tour, I'm going to get a ticket while they're at 2013 prices.

it's definitely sensible to hang fire on this one

Might go for the travel solution and attend this show if it happens to be the only one where they'll play HT in full. That's a lot of money to spend right there + a quite long travel, but hell, I can't miss the chance!

And that would be a good occasion to hang out a little in the UK :)

They were a few bands down at Sonisphere in 2009(?) and on before Biffy Clyro at Leeds fest but Trent hates festivals, he always whinges so I don't know why he does it.

But you're right, I imagine NIN would have been a subheadline if anything, IMO wouldn't have been a bad idea to be on before Aerosmith.

I'm definitely only going one day, can't afford to go the whole weekend and I'm still hoping for an arena tour (and wishing for a small intimate venue tour).

they were only under Metallica but I guess you couldn't have it the other way around..

hmm, I heard alot of noise from the NIN camp during Reading/Leeds this year, Festival Republic don't treat bands particularly well (AAA passes not being honoured, your guests only being allowed backstage at strict times, etc.) but at such a big festival, you do have to accept that they need to control the flow of the undoubtedly vast number of people who will be backstage. and if you're going to play at a festival, you have a contract you sign where you can pretty much tell if it's going to be a tough weekend, that's poor work from the legal/booking team.

I've booked the whole weekend, no camping.

I had a giftcard and it seemed sensible to use it when there was that extra £10 off on earlybird. I might not be massively enthused by the Fri/Sun headliners, but there's always something else to go and watch (if Aerosmith don't play the two songs I know/if A7x play stuff from outside of the 2006-2009 era..)

After attending Reading this year I can safely say I hate camping. I will be attempting to get a day ticket.

Weekend campers at Reading Deserve the George Cross...

I have no idea what DL camping's like, I just know that I can't be arsed with it. I work/volunteer on a lot of independent festivals and the camping is the worst bit about it, even if everyone around you is lovely and clean, you're still stuck being cold and uncomfortable, it just..sucks

I really hope we get the Live in Texas intro to By Myself. Such a good buildup of tension.

do you really think they'll bother with modern, or post-HT extenders? I can see stuff like Papercut or With You getting extra stuff because they've been on the recent setlists for some time now but I'm not too sure about any of the other songs..

APFMH and With You got new intros and outros on the last tour, and they weren't regulars for some time. I think there's a decent chance at least one will get something new.

Been going to Download now for the past 3 years, so will be going again this year. I'm looking forward to most of the bands announced so far and I love the atmosphere in the camps/arena during the festival. Hybrid Theory is just a bonus for me at the moment.
