For those who had the chance to see the ATS interludes live

It really varies depending on which interlude you're talking about and how the setlist is constructed. The Requiem - This was a really good show opener, but it pretty much served its purpose during the ATS touring cycle and doesn't need to be brought back. The Radiance - Referring to the live version that typically followed Numb, this was my favorite out of all the interludes, but again, having what is essentially a teaser of part of The Catalyst in the middle of the current live show wouldn't make much sense. Empty Spaces - This one, on the other hand, really has no reason not to be played, both due to its length and how weird When They Come For Me would sound without it. Unless WTCFM gets a new intro at some point, this should always precede it (see: Foreword/Don't Stay). Jornada Del Muerto - This was my favorite interlude on the album and I love the backdrop they used for it during the live show, but I honestly never liked the way it sounded live (something about Chester singing the harmony parts on this one just never sounded right to me). Waiting For the End also works just fine without it. Wisdom, Justice, and Love - For the particular show I went to on the ATS tour, this was a bit of a head-scratcher as an encore opener, but I really liked it in the context of the main setlist at other performances. Probably best left out of future performances though, both because Iridescent works great as a standalone song, and because of the licensing issues with the King family. Fallout - I really think this one should be put back in the setlist for a couple reasons. One, it kind of serves as two songs, both as its own piece and as a snippet of Burning in the Skies, which doesn't seem likely to be brought back any time soon. Two, the way the current setlist typically flows (going from the LOATR/SOTD/Irirdescent medley into The Catalyst), there's really no reason NOT to play it, as it would essentially follow the sequencing of the album. Going from the Iridescent outro straight into The Catalyst makes it sound like my CD player skipped a track! -

Those "toms" on the left side of Rob's kit are Pintech trigger pads built into regular drum shells. They've been part of his kit since the start of the A Thousand Suns tour. Rob only has 2 rack toms and 2 floor toms on his kit.

- 0:26 - 0:08 (and recurring throughout the song) It's Goin' Down samples 4 other songs in total - Crawling, Dedicated, Step Up, and Year 2000 by Xzibit. I have both the It's Goin' Down CD single and the Built From Scratch album and there's no mention in the liner notes of either one about the song featuring anyone other than Mike and Joe.

- It's the name of a friend of the band. The "on drugs" part is probably BS. - Doubtful. - No. Brad's phrasing on the main It's Goin' Down riff when LP plays it live is totally different from how it appears on the studio version. I've always assumed Mike did the guitars (part of the main guitar riff is actually sampled from Crawling as well).

I'd say you could go ahead and list "Be Yourself (studio version)" or whatever. It's pretty safe to assume that it was part of a demo that hasn't been released.

That's correct. Shit happened with Version 3 so the site reverted back to Version 2 a couple months later (which, looking back, was a far better design anyway).

Doesn't excuse dropping the ball on stuff that was supposed to happen, particularly with the LITE remix contest winners - The main aspect of the "grand prize" was being officially released through the Living Things Remixed program. Anyone remember that big t-shirt design contest the LPU had a couple years back where the winner was supposed to have their design sold through the LPU web store? That never happened either. There's a bit of a precedent for crap like this, unfortunately.

No, not even during his solos. Rob's live kit has NEVER had a double kick pedal. Rob was asked about this at one point and he said the last time he'd even played on a kit with a double kick was sometime in the mid-90s.

...Brad plays guitar throughout the entire APFMH intro, Mike is just standing off to the side using a second guitar for the feedback in the background...and what the fuck do the other two songs have to do with anything? Brad and Mike both play guitar throughout both of those songs as well. Your argument gets a solid rating of 0/10. Congratulations. Yeah I realized that right after I posted it. Mike just uses the Sustainer for feedback on the WFTE outro, so he doesn't need it for the tremolo-picked stuff like you hear in the main part of that song, as well as Tinfoil. He does use the Sustainer for the APFMH intro from what I can tell in the video in the first post (Brad's red CE24 with the sustainer being basically the only red guitar Mike uses presently), so I'll have to fix that on my APFMH live tab. I actually haven't even done one for Tinfoil. -

LOL wow. I seriously thought Tinfoil just sounded different live because of the key being changed. Never crossed my mind that Mike was playing guitar from offstage on that one! Looks like he's using the Sustainer-equipped PRS for both that and the APFMH intro too, which means they're both in a different tuning than what I thought...time to correct some tabs. -

I think the current WFTE intro is tailor-made for Until it Breaks (with how the drums stop during the "in the lineup" part and stuff like that). It'd be pretty easy to tweak it though, I'd imagine.

Without knowing exactly how many basses he has and such, I can at least give you a rundown on the different types of gear he uses: Basses: -Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray basses (both 4 and 5-string modesl, with both rosewood and maple necks, in a wide variety of colors) -Fender Precision basses (he has 2 or 3 of these, they're all reissues of early '60s models) -Fender Jazz Bass 5-string (used in the studio for Meteora) Sample-related stuff: -Starr Labs Z-Tar (custom-built model for Phoenix, used on Blackout) -Akai MPC500 (used on early performances of Blackout) -M-Audio Trigger Finger (used on Lost in the Echo, Lies Greed Misery, and Victimized) Amps: -Ampeg SVT Classic heads -Ampeg SVT-810E 8x10 cabinets Effects/Rack-mounted gear: -Dirty Boy Bass Bully overdrive -Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Plus reverb -Z-Vex Mastotron distortion -Boss LS-2 Line Selector -Tech 21 PSA1 SansAmp preamp He also uses Dean Markley Blue Steel strings and .88 gauge Dunlop picks. At one point he was using a Shure wireless, but I think he uses Audio-Technica like the rest of the guys do now.

Linkin Park actually had TWO songs on the soundtrack for the 2004 surfing documentary "Riding Giants." Cure for the Itch and Don't Stay both appeared in the movie.

You film bands so you can upload shitty transcoded/watermarked versions of your recordings to Youtube and then be a total dickhead about it. Why douchebags like ss666 let the entire world know they have something they have no intention of ever sharing is still beyond me after all these years of seeing it. If people can be this elitist over something as insignificant in the grand scheme of things as a video of a concert, I shudder to think of what insufferable jackasses they must be in their personal lives.
