  1. Never got into JK, but I listened to Spiral and Killing Fields from this show and they were really good.
  2. Touché. However, do you really think the band (specifically, Brad) will take the time to arrange a song like that?
  3. I do appreciate the uniqueness of his list, it's just that I don't think it would come off as well as the more predictable ones
  4. I never said you were wrong lol. Don't need to defend yourself, I agree with you that chart positions really don't matter. I'm just saying it goes to show how even how it's doing overall says a lot about how well received the band is, no matter what genre they decide to take.
  5. This is going to be quite the battle. Keys To The Kingdom
  6. Don't see these going well. The first two are just not feasible live; they're too heavy. 1) Mike's heavy rapping over the acoustic guitars wouldn't sound too good on Wastelands. 2) Rebellion is just to heavy to be acoustic. Can you imagine Chester screaming the bridge over the acoustic guitars? 3) Drawbar is just piano and drums, with a really effected guitar track by Morello. Unless you meant something like piano instrumental I can't see this going well. 4) And One is the same case as Wastelands. 5) Forgotten could be possible, I just don't know how well the bridge would go down. 6) "THEY PLAYED LIKE 5 SECONDS OF IT ACOUSTIC IN AN LPTV WE NEED IT NOW!" It really just wouldn't sound good. Most of the things they do as a warmup aren't necessarily supposed to sound good. That's why they're a warmup. /criticism For my set, assuming they wouldn't go over 15 songs, would be this: What I've Done New Divide Leave Out All The Rest IN MY REMAINS Numb Breaking the Habit In The End Until It's Gone My December (w/ cello) Crawling (Reanimation Intro; w/ cello) I'LL BE GONE (w/ cello) The Little Things Give You Away Final Masquerade CASTLE OF GLASS The Messenger
  7. This is more of a comparison to pop culture popularity over genre popularity. Honestly, it is extremely impressive that this album made it to the top 3 among the likes of such hyped artists like Smith and Ray.
  8. Mike's guitar playing is usually just playing rhythm (barring GATS Intro, for example), so I wouldn't think putting up the rhythm over the lead riffs would sound very good. Somethings aren't meant to standout at all times. Listen to anything from A Thousand Suns, there's always going to be something you missed because it really doesn't pop out at you. But once you do hear it, it'll change the entire song for you.
  9. Talk about a necropost Do you really think Wastelands would translate well acoustically?
  10. I guess you could say our voting was... all for nothing. Huehuehuehuehuehue
  11. I see a ./ban in your near future EDIT: Astat, AWESOME review. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
  12. Motherfuckin' Wastelands. I dont understand how one of the most unique tracks on the album got eliminated before one of the simplest. DISCLAIMER: Wastelands is a fucking jam but its too safe for them.
  13. You poor, poor man.
