It's that time of the year once again, and it's been quite awhile since we've been on this ride with Linkin Park... it's festival season! After wrapping up the arena headlining shows of the first U.S. leg, the band are wrapping things up with two festivals in the United States, the first being the esteemed Sonic Temple Art & Music festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 10, 2025! The early 2000's are truly back with this lineup, with Linkin Park headlining day three of four of the festival. Metallica headlines Friday and Sunday with two unique sets featuring no repeated songs (wouldn't that be nice...) while Korn closed the festival's first night on Thursday. Joining Linkin Park on the main stage (the Cathedral Stage) Saturday will be the likes of I Prevail, Trivium, Hoobastank, Citizen Soldier, and Sick Puppies, while acts on other stages include grandson, Of Mice & Men, Jimmy Eat World, Bullet For My Valentine, TRUSTcompany, Underoath... if you listened to rock and metal music in the 2000's, this is literally your lineup. Linkin Park headlines the night, scheduled to take the stage at 9:20pm for a 90-minute set ending at 10:50. As a majority of the shows this cycle have gone for around 2 hours a pop, this set seems pretty short by comparison, but the band is sure to bring the classics as well as some new and surprise jams along the way! You can check out the full schedule for the day here. It's been almost 10 years since the last time Linkin Park performed in Columbus, Ohio, the last being at the end of The Hunting Party cycle with another festival appearance, headlining Rock On The Range... which is essentially the same festival as this one, with a new venue and new name. The band played on May 17, 2015 - in a week, it'll have been 10 years exactly since the band last visited the state! This immense set opened with a huge combo of 'Papercut' and 'Rebellion,' soon launching into a rare performance of 'A Line In The Sand' to round out the beginning of the set. The full version of the band's summer setlist debuted at this show, bringing in songs like 'From The Inside' and 'Breaking The Habit' back into the mix, while also featuring the live debut of 'Darker Than Blood,' a stripped version of which served as an intro to 'Burn It Down.' 'Rebellion' was also an addition, returning for the first time since 2014. Funny enough, this'll be the band's second show in the city with a different guitarist than Brad Delson - he was sick and couldn't travel in 2015, so his tech Benjamin Chandler filled in for him. This Sonic Temple show will be the band's tenth overall show in the city of Columbus! Check out the full Rock On The Range special proshot from the band's headlining performance there on May 17, 2015. The last time the band performed in the city with Brad Delson was all the way back in 2008 on the Winter Minutes To Midnight North American Tour, and Mr. Delson certainly got worked hard that night. Opening with a heavy combination of 'No More Sorrow' with its long intro and 'Don't Stay,' the band was in great form following a bout of sickness by Chester a few weeks prior. He felt so good, in fact, that he managed to pull off the full scream in 'Given Up' at this show - the last time he did so at a live show! Rarities from the record like 'The Little Things Give You Away,' 'Valentine's Day,' and 'In Between' dotted the set before an epic finale of 'One Step Closer' with both its extended intro and outro and 'Faint' closed the show. The fact the band hasn't visited Columbus much in the last decade and a half may lend to the fact that they visited there a lot early on - on the Meteora cycle, they played three shows there alone! Two stops in Ohio kicked off the band's final tour of the cycle, Projekt Revolution 2004, with Columbus being the second show. This setlist featured some of the band's most legendary moments, including the outro transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside' as well as the band's cover of Nine Inch Nails' 'Wish.' The band performed there earlier in the year as well, headlining the city's Nationwide Arena in January 2004. The setlist isn't fully confirmed, but we do know songs like 'Nobody's Listening' and 'My December' gave fans a big treat. Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.), Doug Robb (Hoobastank), and Dan Marsala (Story Of The Year) all came out for 'One Step Closer' at the end of the show. The esteemed Summer Sanitarium 2003 tour where the band opened for Metallica visited Columbus as well - the setlist is unknown, but if Live In Texas is any indiction, the crowd likely heard tracks like 'P5hng Me A*wy' and 'Numb' fresh off its live debut. The band made their initial impact in the city known on the Hybrid Theory Tour, playing in the city four times in total! The last stop there of the tour was on the Family Values Tour late in 2001, where the band played before Stone Temple Pilots, a band Chester would act as the lead singer for for a few years over a decade later. Chester would come out to sing 'Dead & Bloated' with them at a few stops on the tour! The recording of 'Wonderful' featuring Chester that was released on a promo CD later on was actually recorded in-studio and didn't come from this tour. The band visited there in the summer as well on the Ozzfest, while in February they played a smaller theater show at the Street Soldier Tour - the setlist for all of these are unknown, but we do know the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage' was played at first show of 2001 from a Rolling Stone review. Their first show in the city ever was late in 2000 right after Hybrid Theory had dropped, on Papa Roach's Master Bay Tour. The band was actually supposed to play their first show in the city much earlier in the year on the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour, but the band had to drop out because Chester had to fly back to California due to a family emergency. It's been a long time since the band has continued their history in the city, but the time is now! Linkin Park's last show in Greenville, South Carolina certainly took the arena portion of the leg out on a bang! Debuting Set F5, with the Set C theme ('Burn It Down' theme), the band launched the show with 'Somewhere I Belong' before rotating in 'Cut The Bridge' for another run in the limelight. 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Where'd You Go,' also new additions to the set lately, kept the crowd happy and jamming along as well. Mike's solo medley featured 'Step Up' during the extended portion, keeping his record of different verses every night alive. 'IGYEIH' immediately followed for its second performance following its debut in Raleigh the show prior. grandson came out for 'One Step Closer' once again to round things out for the first half of the set. In the second half, 'Stained' returned yet again after 'Lost,' before Mike played 'One' by Metallica over the extended intro of 'Overflow' and Colin was challenged to a Bossa nova intro to 'Numb' once again. 'Points Of Authority' made its encore debut in the rotation slot before 'Bleed It Out' closed the show with a verse of 'A Place For My Head' over the extended bridge. We're not quite sure yet what'll be missing from the headlining set as opposed to the festival set, but the band will definitely keep things fresh. The only other festival they played on the cycle was late last year as Saudi Arabia's Soundstorm Festival, the first show the band ever played in the country. That show's set was quite similar to the launch show setlist with a few additions, so maybe the set will look something like that one. It'll be exciting to see if any collaborations happen as the band will be in the company of many old friends! Linkin Park's only other festival appearance so far on this album cycle was in Saudi Arabia, for their first show in the country back on December 12, 2024 at the Soundstorm Festival. Who's going to the show? Mark (Hahninator) will be there and ready to rock for round 2 of Linkin Park's Ohio festivals, so be sure to say hi if you see him! Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting in a pretty lovely day in. Columbus tomorrow - won't be too hot or too cold, and will be the perfect weather for jamming. After this show, Linkin Park wraps up the first U.S. leg of the tour with one last show, a headlining appearance for Florida's Welcome To Rockville before heading off to Europe next month for more festivals and stadium shows! The band will also perform the for the UEFA Champions League Kick Off at the end of the month in München, Germany. We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!

I truly have never been sadder to say this, but we've just about reached the end of the first United States leg of the tour! The final headlining show before Linkin Park embarks on a short festival run kicks off tomorrow, May 8 in Greenville, South Carolina at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena! While short, this run of shows around the United States has been nothing short of legendary. This show in South Carolina is bound to be the same, as this'll be the first time in 25 years that Linkin Park has performed in the state! The last time they visited the state was in November 2000 on P.O.D.'s Kings Of The Game Tour, just a few weeks after Hybrid Theory had launched. Luckily for Phoenix, he had rejoined the band by this time so this'll only be Emily, Colin, and Alex's first show with the band in the state, unlike what happened in Austin, Texas at the start of the tour where the last time they had played the city was before Phoenix rejoined in early November of 2000! We don't have a setlist for this show in Myrtle Beach back in 2000, but if you were there and happen to remember any information, let us know! Linkin Park has broken all expectations for us with this leg of the tour, completely breaking tradition of how they'd do rotations. Just looking at the show in Raleigh, North Carolina last night reveals a lot about how excellent the tour has been. Celebrating Emily's first birthday with the band in North Carolina, the show kicked off with the From Zero countdown, playing 'Weatherman' by Dead Sara as the band's intro music. Set E5 made its first ever appearance, now the fifth named set in their rotation (do the letters even matter anymore?), with the B Theme ('Iridescent' lyrics) for the intros and outros. 'Lying From You' returned to the Act 1 rotation for the first time since the start of the tour in Austin, having rotated with 'Cut The Bridge' at the following shows and 'Points Of Authority' in Baltimore. After introducing fans to new songs like 'The Emptiness Machine' and 'Up From The Bottom,' the band slid into some more classics like 'Burn It Down' and the lovely combination of Fort Minor's 'Where'd You Go' into 'Waiting For The End.' Things got spicier from here as Mike whipped out the demo verse of 'Lift Off' from Post Traumatic during his solo medley, marking the debut of any material from his solo releases in a Linkin Park set! The stats don't stop there as the band sang happy birthday to Emily and launched right into the live debut of 'IGYEIH' in the heavy rotation! Emily brought out her true nature by diving into the mosh pits during the bridge of the song, celebrating her birthday Dead Sara-style. With this debut, every song from the standard From Zero album has been performed live! This makes it the first record since Minutes To Midnight to be performed in its entirety, let alone on its respective tour. A Thousand Suns has also seen all its tracks performed live, but 'Robot Boy' has never quite been performed in its entirety, technically leaving some of the record left to really be played. The surprises of Act 2 wrapped up with grandson coming back out to perform 'One Step Closer' with the band! My beloved 'Stained' made another appearance after 'Lost,' fresh off its debut in Baltimore. Mike played the riff of 'One' by Metallica again on synth during the intro of 'Overflow,' while the band challenged Colin to a progressive rock 'Numb/Encore' intro for 'Numb.' The encore didn't let up, with 'From The Inside' blowing the arena up before 'Bleed It Out' closed the show with a verse of 'A Place For My Head' during the bridge. The live debut of 'IGYEIH' on May 6, 2025 at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Emily going into the pit for the bridge and outro is one of the best moments of the cycle, and perhaps in Linkin Park history! With this debut, every song from From Zero has now been performed! All of this, and I haven't even mentioned that the band sounded in top form at both of these last shows in Baltimore and Raleigh, if Hahninator and I have anything to say about it. Been absolutely blown away by both the crowds and how good the band has been sounding after these last few shows, perhaps the best of the whole era so far. Everyone's finally warmed up and caught their stride, and we're loving every second of it! It seems like the band will whip out a Set F at this show, and it's pretty much anyone's guess as to what rotations will come out. In the first rotation, both 'Lying From You' and 'Cut The Bridge' have been performed twice, with 'Points Of Authority' only coming out once, so perhaps the latter will get thrown in for its second bout of the tour. If we keep that idea in mind, it seems likely that 'Good Things Go' and 'A Place For My Head' get thrown in to balance out the other rotations as well. With the heavy rotation after Mike's solo - we have no idea as there are now four possible songs that could go there: 'Casualty,' 'Given Up,' 'Keys To The Kingdom,' and now 'IGYEIH.' If I had to guess, I'd say 'IGYEIH' probably gets thrown in for some more practice before the band starts ripping it out more in Europe and on their second run in the States later this summer. The verse over Mike's solo medley is completely up in the air, too - he's been digging deep for some of these, and seems committed to trying a different one out every night. Seems likely you can look forward to grandson coming out on 'One Step Closer,' too! Leave your guesses as to what rotations will hit South Carolina to round out the arena portion of the leg! Mike's solo medley live on May 6, 2025 at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The live premiere of Post Traumatic material in a Linkin Park set with Mike whipping out the demo verse of 'Lift Off' while in the crowd. Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting a pretty regular mid-spring day with temperatures around 80 degrees and partly cloudy skies, with the chance of some showers around the day. Nothing that'll stop you from having a great time at the show! Hahninator will once again be in the crowd to rock out with everyone, so if you see him be sure to say hi! It's been great on both of our ends seeing old and new friends at these shows, and we're glad to see everyone's having as good a time as we are covering the shows! This is the last arena show of this leg of the tour, but Linkin Park still has two more U.S. shows lined up before heading to Europe next month. The band headlines the Sonic Temple festival in Ohio on Saturday and the Welcome To Rockville festival in Florida next weekend. Before kicking off their European Tour with festival dates at Austria's NovaRock and Czechia's Rock For People, the band will perform the UEFA Champions League Kick Off Show in München, Germany at the end of the month. We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!

Awesome post, love how you told your story with the band throughout! Should be an awesome show, I'm personally expecting something special in the set for Emily's birthday! Could be the day we finally get 'IGYEIH.'

MY BELOVED STAINED 😭 I can't believe I was in the building for my baby's debut. Looks like they've completely changed the game up on us. No more of the Set ABC business!

Will be posting on socials so stay tuned, if enough people wanna meet up somewhere at the venue I’m with it.

We're back and about to hit the halfway point of the first U.S. leg of the From Zero World Tour, and the band is heading east! The fourth stop on the tour takes us to Baltimore, Maryland at the CFG Bank Arena on May 3, 2025! This'll be the band's fourth show in the Baltimore area, and the first in 17 years! The last time they played in the city was in 2008 on the Winter North American Tour, playing the 1st Mariner Arena (same venue, old name). Early 2008 is notorious for having some of the best opening runs in Linkin Park's live history amongst their setlists. Set R-2 was played here, opening with a run of 'No More Sorrow' with its long intro, 'Don't Stay,' 'From The Inside,' 'Wake' into 'Given Up,' 'Lying From You,' 'Papercut,' and 'Points Of Authority.' That'd probably send us into pure chaos in 2025! Other goods from Minutes To Midnight like 'The Little Things Give You Away,' 'Shadow Of The Day,' and 'Valentine's Day' also made appearances in the set. The band brought both Minutes To Midnight and Meteora goods to Baltimore for the first time as the band didn't hit the city on that touring cycle. The last time the band played in Baltimore before that was in December 2000, right off the release of Hybrid Theory. The band played a series of headlining club shows around the Northeast around this time, which included a stop in Baltimore's Fletchers. The band's very first time in the area was just a few months earlier in September 2000, where they opened for Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High' Tour, playing the stop in Towson early on the tour. We don't have setlists or any info about these shows other than that they happened, so if you or anyone you know went to one, be sure to let us know! There's a lot of catching up to do since their last time in the city, and we know Linkin Park have some surprises under their belt still! Take it back to the good ol' days with this... let's call it nostalgic-quality clip of Linkin Park performing 'Papercut' live at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on February 19, 2008. Linkin Park played their last show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and certainly surprised us eagle-eyed setlist watchers as well as fans at the show! Set C5 made its first appearance on the tour, and delivered some rotations that may reveal that Linkin Park is trying something new this leg. After Inception Intro C (with the 'Burn It Down' theme) and 'Somewhere I Belong' opened the show, the band shockingly played 'Cut The Bridge' for a second show in a row, fresh off its live debut in Tulsa, Oklahoma the show before. So far, the only other song to feature in this spot so far has been 'Lying From You,' which was played at the first night in Set A in Austin, Texas. Continuing through Act 2, which featured new additions to the set like 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Where'd You Go' by Fort Minor, the next surprise came during Mike's solo medley. He went into the crowd as has become tradition during the extended bit of the solo, and after giving his hat to a fan named Mike, he rapped verse one of 'Petrified' before going into 'Remember The Name!' The band kept delivering as 'Keys To The Kingdom' roared back into the mix right after, being performed for only the third time this year (previously in Zapopan, Mexico and night two in Saitama, Japan)! Another repeat rotation came with 'Over Each Other' (rotating with 'Good Things Go' in Tulsa), which featured in Set A in Austin. 'Overflow' once again featured Mike playing a bit of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence,' and Colin was challenged to a Bossa Nova style intro to 'Numb.' The final rotation of the night in the encore was the second repeat of Set C with 'From The Inside' getting some more limelight for a second show in a row. Mike sent the crowd off right with verse one of 'Reading My Eyes' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' the first time he's ripped that verse since Incheon last year! With rotation repeats in Michigan, we have a lot of questions going into a show where we'd usually be pretty certain of what would be coming at this point of the tour! If the band follows suit with the regular rotation (which seems likely given there are only two more arena shows up after Baltimore), Maryland is lined up for Set A, which featured 'Lying From You,' 'Casualty,' 'Over Each Other,' and 'A Place For My Head' as rotation songs. However, it seems that the band may be switching up how they do their rotations this leg. It's too soon to tell, but it's possible that the "ABC" part of the set could only refer to the theme used between the intros and interludes in the set, and that the rotations are randomly decided by the band. We'll find out in Baltimore what exactly the case is, but we will definitely be watching. Mike said in an interview while the band was beginning rehearsals that they have been working up "three... maybe five" songs for the setlists for the upcoming legs, to which Emily clarified "three new ones, at least." If new ones could be referring to 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Cut The Bridge,' we are still waiting on a third to make an appearance. 'IGYEIH,' 'Stained,' and 'Unshatter' are all yet to receive a live debut, and would fit right in with any of the rotation slots. It's entirely possible the third song is 'Where'd You Go,' however... but if there are five total songs being added to the set, there's a lot of possibilities for what could be left. 'QWERTY' and 'No More Sorrow' have been big fan requests these past months leading up the tour. The show after this in North Carolina takes place on Emily's birthday, so perhaps the band has something special in store for her then - she's personally requested 'Blackout' and 'Lies Greed Misery' so far. Her other request, 'Where'd You Go,' has already made it. We have to wait and see what happens, but we'll have you covered on whatever goes down. A full recording of the band's show in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 1, 2025! This is a fantastic recording with some of the best audio we've heard all tour, so check it out if you're staying caught up with the tour! grandson is opening on this leg of the tour, and he's as excited to be there as we are! A massive fan of Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda collaborator ('Running From My Shadow' from Post Traumatic), grandson is making a statement while preparing fans for the band during his opening set. He comes out with a brand new song (apparently titled 'Burn You') before whipping out his older cut 'Oh No!!!,' then dives into another new track possibly titled 'Self-Immolation.' After a 'Masters Of War' by Bob Dylan cover, grandson carries on his set with a bunch of his own classics like 'We Did It!!!' and 'Stigmata.' After one more new song called 'BRAINROT,' grandson closes out with his biggest single 'Blood // Water.' If you can make it out early enough for his set, be sure to catch him! Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul (yours truly) will be making his 2025 tour debut at this one, and will be braving the weather on the way down from New Jersey to jam with you guys! The National Weather Service has placed Baltimore under a slight risk of severe weather tomorrow, which means that it's possible some stronger storms roll through Baltimore and surrounding areas through the day. Dress for rain, and be prepared for some rain, lightning, and possibly even hail on the way over to the show! Drive safe, and if you see me there be sure to say hi! 90% chance I will be getting some drinks, so if you're in the 100s sections be warned: Rogue Soul is on the loose! The band has a few days off before the next show - they'll be heading down the coast with two more arenas shows in North Carolina and South Carolina before things wrap up later in the month with festivals in Ohio and Florida. The next show in Raleigh - May 6 - is Emily's birthday, so it'll definitely be an exciting one! LPLive founder Hahninator/Mark will be at these four upcoming shows, as well. LPLive has been at pretty much every show of this tour (Tulsa is the only one we missed), and it's been a fun ride seeing the band and you guys, too! We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!

April showers bring May flowers as we storm into the new month with another stop on Linkin Park's From Zero World Tour, and the surprises continue to sprout! After taking on the South and interior, the band head north to Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 1, 2025 at the Van Andel Arena for the third stop on their spring U.S. leg. Linkin Park is no stranger to the state of Michigan, this show in Grand Rapids being their 19th show in the state and third in the city (the first in Grand Rapids since 2001)! That being said, this'll be their first show back in over 11 years, their last show in the state being on The Hunting Party Tour in Clarkston in 2014. This tour echoes 2025's setlists by being the first to include acts, where instead of specially-made interludes, the band cut between acts using instrumental versions of older cuts. Songs like 'Robot Boy' and 'Blackout' flowed into a Mr. Hahn solo and 'Papercut,' respectively while fresh cuts like 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Final Masquerade' brought the heavy edge of the album further to fruition. At their stop on the Living Things Tour in Auburn Hills in 2012, the band brought the same fervor with energetic tracks fresh off the press like 'Victimized' (mashed up with 'QWERTY')' and 'In My Remains' came to life. 'Bleed It Out' at this show featured a cover of the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage,' closing out the main set with an extra hip-hop and punk rock flair. The A Thousand Suns Tour stop in Detroit in 2011 was no different, with 'When They Come For Me,' 'Iridescent,' and a full performance of 'Blackout' bringing both electrifying energy and a post-apocalyptic vibe. Michigan has been lucky enough to see a lot of 'Blackout,' a song that is currently being heavily requested by fans and band members themselves - but we'll get into that later! On the Minutes To Midnight Tour, the band made two stops to the state. The latter performance was in Detroit on the band's Winter North American Tour in 2008, where the band performed Set S, opening with an unforgiving combo of 'Wake,' 'Given Up,' 'Lying From You,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'No More Sorrow,' 'Don't Stay,' and 'Points Of Authority' (which featured Mike's verse from 'Dolla,' a rare Fort Minor track, during the intro). If that's not a crazy first run of songs, I don't know what is. Rare cuts from Minutes To Midnight such as 'In Between' and 'In Pieces' made appearances at this show, while the first show of the cycle in Clarkston in the middle of Projekt Revolution 2007 brought 'The Little Things Give You Away' and 'Leave Out All The Rest,' and also opened with the legendary Gunshot Intro to 'One Step Closer.' Jump back to 2004 on the Meteora World Tour, the band really made their lasting mark on the state with four shows! Projekt Revolution 2004 saw a slew of rarities hit Clarkston, including 'Figure.09' with its Blood, Anger, Suffering transition outro, the Hip-Hop Medley featuring parts of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' and their cover of 'Wish' by Nine Inch Nails, just to name a few. Earlier in the year, the band played full versions of 'It's Goin' Down' and 'Nobody's Listening,' as well as tracks like 'P5hng Me A*wy' from Reanimation on their Winter North American Tour - while we can't confirm the setlist for this show, it's likely these tracks made an appearance! The band opened for Metallica and Limp Bizkit (and performed after Deftones and Mudvayne) on the famous Summer Sanitarium tour in 2003 (the tour from the Live In Texas DVD), which commenced at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan in July 2003. Tracks like 'Numb' and 'Figure.09' had just received their live debuts, while other songs like 'Lying From You' and 'From The Inside' confirmed that the band was there to make a statement. The band's first show of the cycle in Michigan was in a much smaller setting, at Detroit's State Theater for an MTV $2 Bill show. The band introduced fans to songs like 'Easier To Run, 'Hit The Floor,' and 'Session' just before Meteora dropped. You can really see how the band's progression took root across this cycle, starting off opening in a stadium and headlining a theater before returning the next year for their own headlining shows in arenas and amphitheaters. The full MTV $2 Bill special featuring Linkin Park's show at Detroit's State Theory on March 17, 2003. The Hybrid Theory Tour discussion for Michigan gets its own paragraph as they played a whopping nine shows there across the one cycle alone. The inaugural Projekt Revolution 2002 at the end of the cycle saw the band whip out all the stops, including 'And One' from the Hybrid Theory EP and their cover of 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' by Deftones. 2001 featured five performances in Michigan across the year, the last of which was the last time the band played a show in Grand Rapids! The band hit Grand Rapids' former DeltaPlex Arena on the Countdown To Revolution Tour in November 2001. Another show we don't have the setlist for, but we do know that on the tour the band was playing the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage' and a full version of 'Step Up,' amongst other cuts. The Family Values Tour had brought the band to Auburn Hills just a month before, where Stephen Richards from Taproot came out to sing 'One Step Closer' at the end of the show! The Ozzfest brought the band to a rare back-to-back set of nights in July, the bands first shows in Clarkston. Their first show of the year - also their first headlining show in Michigan - was at Pontiac's humble Clutch Cargo's, where songs like 'Crawling,' 'Pushing Me Away,' and 'High Voltage' were fresh off their live debuts. With 3 shows in the state in 2000, it was the third show that was perhaps the most important: the opening night of P.O.D.'s Kings Of The Game Tour took place in Detroit's State Theater on November 7, 2000, and currently stands as Phoenix's first confirmed show with the band! This is extra funny as just a few nights ago in Texas, the band played their first show with Phoenix in the city (as they had only played Austin once before Phoenix joined back up with them). The band hit also Detroit in September on the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour. And now we come full circle with the band's very first show in Michigan, which coincidentally was in Grand Rapids (some things just happen like poetry)! The Union Underground's An Education In Rebellion Tour brought Linkin Park to Michigan in July 2000. We don't have setlists from many of these early Hybrid Theory shows, so if you were there and happen to remember any details, be sure to let us know! The last stop on the From Zero World Tour brought Linkin Park back to Oklahoma for the first time since 2008, with an electrifying show in Tulsa's Bok Center. The band debuted Set B5, and had surprises in store for fans both at the show and at home from beginning to end! Set B features the 'Iridescent' theme throughout its interludes and intros, kicking off with the staple opening of Inception Intro B and 'Somewhere I Belong.' The early rotation slot (that featured 'Lying From You' in Set A in Austin) brought perhaps the biggest surprise of the night right off the bat, with the live debut of 'Cut The Bridge!' The song received its first taste of a live setting earlier this year, where the 'Cut The Bridge' bridge briefly featured as an extended bridge to 'Bleed It Out' (RIP Bridgeception). The band continued bursting through the set with the new additions to the set, 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Where'd You Go,' which are sounding great in the new sets! Things got fun as the set continued, Mike and Colin delivering a particularly "special" version of Mike's solo medley. It seems Mike got a little carried away with the new extra verse section, continuing the 'When They Come For Me' by rapping verse two of the song for the first time on tour (and changing up a few lines, likely by accident) before going into the 'Remember The Name' portion of the song. Looks like Mike tripped himself up and immediately went into the synth solo after the first 'Remember The Name' chorus instead of the verse. It led to a pretty amazing synth solo from Mike, though, and Tulsa was fortunate enough to get a bonus "Try to catch up, motherfucker!" as an added treat! In the heavy rotation slot right after, 'Given Up' made a return to the set before 'One Step Closer' brought the show to its midpoint. In the "ballad" rotation after 'Lost,' 'Good Things Go' rotated in after being sorely missed from one show, much to the relief of many LPLive members! We've found out that there's a bonus "secret" rotation in the form of the extended intro of 'Overflow,' where Mike seems to be picking a random song to play the melody of over the dark atmospheric synths. In Austin, he played part of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence,' while in Tulsa he performed the intro riff to 'One' by Metallica. The band kept the fun going on the intro of 'Numb,' asking a fan how Colin should play the drum beat - the fan asked for a Johnny Cash style intro, so the song kicked off with a country version of 'Numb/Encore' before Mike burst out laughing, throwing off the rest of the band as they kicked into the normal song while Emily kept singing 'Numb/Encore.' A couple of unique moments at this show, but the band carried through with grace and visibly had a blast while doing so! 'From The Inside' was swapped in during the encore, replacing 'A Place For My Head' before Emily ripped an essentially full scream on 'Heavy Is The Crown' right after. Pulling off a 15-second single scream during the second-to-last song of the set... unreal. The band closed things out with the familiar 'Bleed It Out,' which featured the missing 'A Place For My Head' during the extended bridge. Two shows in and we already have so much to cover... keep it coming! A full front-row recording of Linkin Park's show in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 28, 2025. Lots of great little moments to find in this set - definitely check out Mike's awesome extended solo during his solo medley! With this being the third show, it's time to see what the new version of Set C has in store for us. Interestingly, the songs that were rotating in Set C earlier this year have moved over to Set B now ('From The Inside' and 'Given Up'), leaving both the heavy rotation and the encore rotation up in the air. 'Lost In The Echo' and 'Keys To The Kingdom' - previous rotation songs on older versions of the sets - could be contenders for these spots, or the band could whip out some other songs we haven't seen yet and surprise us! Like we mentioned before, both fans and Emily herself have been talking about 'Blackout' returning to the sets, and that'd definitely set the fanbase ablaze if it came out here in Michigan! 'Points Of Authority' seems like an obvious choice to round out the early set rotation with 'Lying From You' and 'Cut The Bridge,' but with 'Cut The Bridge' being such a surprising curveball, it could very well be another surprise song! 'IGYEIH' would fit perfectly in either this spot or the heavy spot, and is definitely in need of a live debut. That song and 'Stained' are the only two songs left from the base From Zero album to be performed, and 'Stained' could fit into the ballad rotation after 'Lost' perfectly, too. We wouldn't be surprised to see 'Leave Out All The Rest' or 'Friendly Fire' make a return in that spot, either. The recently released 'Unshatter' is also a very real possibility for the setlist, and could realistically make an appearance in any one of these rotation spots! It's anyone's best guess as to what Mike will rap over his solo medley, during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' or play during the 'Overflow' intro, but we're excited to find out! There's a lot of new verses Mike could pull from since the last time he rotated verses like this, so it would be cool to hear a mixture of old verses like maybe 'High Voltage' or 'In Stereo,' or even newer ones from Post Traumatic or his other solo releases. What are your guesses for what Set C has in store for us? grandson is opening this leg of the tour, and has delivered a new setlist compared to his 2024 opening sets! Kicking things off with a brand new song, grandson sets the dark, rebel tone of his music right off the bat before launching into 'Oh No!!!' His set features cool moments like another brand new song as well as a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Masters Of War,' while delivering familiar moments from his discography including 'Stigmata' and '6:00.' He closes his set out with his iconic 'Blood // Water,' prepping you for Linkin Park in the perfect way. grandson is as big a Linkin Park fan as we are, and he's definitely just as happy to see them back on the road - so be sure to catch his set if you can make it! grandson's full set from the Bok Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 28, 2025. Check this out if you want a taste of what to expect from his set at your show! Who's going to the show? LPLive staff member GlassCastles (Nico) will be there, so be sure to say what's up if you see her! Weatherman Rogue Soul here to report a rainy day ahead for Grand Rapids, so be sure to be prepared! It shouldn't rain too crazy, but it'll be raining pretty consistently all day and the temperature's will stay pretty cool at the upper 50s. The band have just dropped their official collaboration with Youtooz, so be sure to check those out if you want a Linkin Park plushie to watch these shows with! The band test ran an order-ahead option for their merch booth in Tulsa, so be sure to watch their social media in case they try it again at this show and you want to try this as an option! The first United States leg of the From Zero World Tour continues to the east coast as the band heads down the Eastern Seaboard with shows in Maryland (I'll be there!), North Carolina, and South Carolina before two festival appearances in Ohio and Florida (Hahninator/Mark will be at these last four). We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!

Something to be said about the set not shaking up too much is that this is the last leg of the tour that doesn't repeat markets; starting with Europe they'll be returning to Paris, London, and multiple shows in Germany so there's more incentive for them to really shake things up starting in June than it is now, when I'm sure the majority of people they're playing for haven't seen the tour yet. Might see more significant changes in Europe, but this could also be wishful thinking. I'm cool with them having a new selection of 3-4 songs per leg they throw in while the main body of the set remains.

We're off! Linkin Park continue the From Zero World Tour with its second stop of the leg in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the BOK Center for their first show in the state since 2008! It's been quite some time since the band last performed in Oklahoma, but that's not entirely their fault - while the last show they played there was in 2008, the band were on site and ready to go in Pryor in May 2015 to headline the Rocklahoma festival, however strong tornado-warned storms caused multiple evacuations throughout the day as well as over three hours of delay for Linkin Park's set. The show was ultimately cancelled, and when the band were set to return in 2017 to Oklahoma City on the One More Light Tour, tragedy struck. All that being said, the band has five album cycles to catch the great people of Oklahoma up on with this show in Tulsa! The band's last show in February 2008 on the Minutes To Midnight Winter North American Tour was certainly one the attendees will not have forgotten. Opening with 'What I've Done' and it's legendary AMBO Intro, the band launched right into their set with the likes of 'Don't Stay,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' and 'Lying From You.' While this performance of Set R brought goodies like 'My December,' 'Valentine's Day,' and 'The Little Things Give You Away,' Chester was struggling with sickness during this portion of the tour so some songs had to be dropped. 'Given Up' was dropped, leading to a very rare occasion where 'Wake' didn't transition into the song, and rather went into 'Lying From You' at this show. 'No More Sorrow' and 'Points Of Authority' were also skipped due to Chester's illness, but the extended outro they were playing for 'Points' was tacked on to 'Papercut,' leading to another rare moment! Their previous show before that in 2004 on the Meteora 2004 North American Tour luckily went off without any problems, and fans were treated to some great rarities like 'P5hng Me A*wy' and 'It's Goin' Down,' as well as new Meteora tracks like 'Nobody's Listening' and 'Breaking The Habit.' This setlist was only confirmed a few years ago in 2022 after some research by the LPLive team! This show took place at Norman's Lloyd Noble Center, where LPLive found Hahninator's graduation ceremony was held last year! The band performed in Oklahoma a whopping four times during the Hybrid Theory cycle, the last being on the inaugural run of Projekt Revolution in 2002, where the band brought out all the stops such as 'Forgotten,' 'Pushing Me Away,' and 'Step Up,' and even bringing out DJ Z-Trip on 'It's Goin' Down.' 'Crawling' had to be stopped and restarted due to rowdiness in the pit, but they got through and pushed into the encore that kept delivering big moments such as 'By Myself' and their cover of Deftones' 'My Own Summer (Shove It).' The band performed there three times in 2000: in December in Oklahoma City on Papa Roach's Master Bay Tour for some type of radio festival and in Tulsa in November (their last performance in the city until this show!) on P.O.D.'s King Of The Game Tour a few months after Hybrid Theory had dropped, and once in Tulsa in October on the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour two weeks before Hybrid Theory dropped (and lacking Phoenix, who joined the following month - Scott Koizol was on bass for this earlier 2000s shows). It's been 25 years since Linkin Park last rocked Tulsa, and 12 years since they rocked Oklahoma. Big things are bound to happen! A full audio recording of the band's show at the Oklahoma State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 18, 2002. This setlist has a whole lot of goods including a 'With You' opening with the iconic "Come on!" scream and their cover of Deftones 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' in the encore. The band kicked off the fifth leg of the From Zero World Tour in Austin, Texas on April 26, and while much of the setlist was similarly structured to what we've seen already, the band loaded up a bunch of surprises for this new leg! Set A5 made its debut, kicking off with the familiar combo of Inception Intro A with 'Castle Of Glass' lyrics into 'Somewhere I Belong.' Adjustments were made early to the set as 'Lying From You' returned to Act 1, being played second and 'Crawling' moving up to third. Things got more interesting as the set continued, with 'Up From The Bottom' getting its highly anticipated live debut after 'Burn It Down.' The band threw another curveball at us right after, performing 'Where'd You Go' live with Linkin Park for the very first time, and it transitioned right into 'Waiting For The End' which featured a new extended intro that's more akin to the studio version, with another loop of the main synth incorporating the 2024 intro synth into it. Mike prefaced 'Where'd You Go' by saying it was a request, after which Emily pointed to herself, likely meaning she was the one who wanted to sing it! It's The Rising Tied's 20th anniversary this year, so adding the song to the set is another nice little homage to the record as it reaches its second decade. Mike kept the Fort Minor vibes alive with his solo medley, which was extended between the 'When They Come For Me' and 'Remember The Name' portion while Mike went into the crowd and whipped out an extra verse: 'Until It Breaks' verse 3, which you may know from the old 'Waiting For The End' Apaches Intro! 'Over Each Other' moved up in the set, taking the place after 'Lost' which was performed in its new piano into full band version. Mike played the guitar melody of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence' on his synth during the extended intro of 'Overflow,' adding some new flair to the intro. Mike did a remix of 'Enjoy The Silence' in 2004 for their Remixes 81-04 project, and it's nothing short of epic. Definitely check it out if you haven't heard it! The last surprise of the night came during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' where the 'Cut The Bridge' bridge moment was replaced by a verse of 'There They Go,' making it three different Fort Minor songs that appeared in the set! Other fun moments include Mike going into the crowd for 'In The End' and taking a woman's phone to record a video and Emily sneaking in the "Toothpaste, caught in the Lidl' line during 'Two Faced!' Mike even referenced our tweets about it being Phoenix's first show with the band in Austin along with Emily and Colin before 'Bleed It Out!' The band definitely kept us eagle-eyed fans on our toes from beginning to end with this one. With a new set comes replaced songs and some missing ones, but to us it seems like the band has a lot planned for the rotations between the different sets. New versions of Set B and Set C are still a mystery as we are only at the start of the tour, and we know that on previous legs the band has switched a couple things between them. It does look like there are some new spots for rotations, the first one in the set being the 'Lying From You' slot. On their back-to-back nights in São Paulo and Saitama earlier on the tour, the band rotated between 'Lying From You' and 'Points Of Authority' for this portion, but with a third set now there's room for a third song. Seems like 'From The Inside' would fit right in with these two in this early heavy rotation to me. The "screaming" rotation slot that 'Casualty' sits in previously had 'Keys To The Kingdom' and 'Given Up' in that spot, but perhaps throwing 'IGYEIH' in there for its live debut instead would be a good move, or perhaps even the heavily rumored return of 'QWERTY.' 'Over Each Other' seems like it'll rotate with 'Good Things Go' in the ballad spot after 'Lost,' and perhaps we could see the live debut of 'Stained' wrapping up this rotation in the third set. In the encore rotation, 'A Place For My Head' keeps its spot in Set A, but with 'Lying From You' off the table in Set B, we could see the return of 'Lost In The Echo' or maybe 'Keys To The Kingdom' return to this spot. Regardless of what features in the next set, it does seem like we are geared up for at least one more song they haven't been playing yet in one of the versions of the set. 'Unshatter' surprisingly hasn't made its debut, and the band has a whole slew of other tracks that they played last year that are now missing ('Leave Out All The Rest,' 'Breaking The Habit,' 'My December,' etc.) that could make a return. What're your predictions for the two remaining sets? A great quality full recording of the band's show in Austin, Texas at the Moody Center on April 26, 2025. The band sounded great and seemed to be having a lot of fun to kick off the tour! grandson is opening this leg of the tour, and has brought out a new setlist for Linkin Park fans! From what we can tell, it seems that he's playing a handful of new music (at least three songs) and a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Masters Of War,' so he has some new vigor to deliver Linkin Park fans from 2024's bouts. Known songs you can look forward to include 'Stigmata' and 'Drones,' which bring some explosive energy to his set before 'Blood // Water' closes things out. grandson is as happy as we Linkin Park fans are to see the band back in action, and you can feel that infectious excitement in his performance. Be sure to catch him perform if you can! Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting in with actually quite a lot to say this time - it's severe weather season out in the midwest and Great Plains, and if you're from Oklahoma you know what you're in for! The National Weather Service has Tulsa placed in a Slight Risk for severe weather tomorrow, which means there's a chance some strong storms and a small risk a tornado rolls through. Chances aren't high, but be weather aware and be ready for anything! Monday actually seems like a calmer day than it has been lately for Tulsa weather-wise, but be prepared for some rain in the afternoon and muggy temperatures. If anything crazy comes up, we'll try to post an update on socials but also have a way to receive alerts! Doesn't look like we'll have a repeat of 2015 on our hands. Linkin Park continues their first U.S. Leg of the tour with a show in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 1 before heading east and down the eastern seaboard for shows in Maryland (I'll be there!), North Carolina, and South Carolina before topping things off with festival appearances in Ohio and Florida. We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!

Wow! https://linkinpedia.com/wiki/Live:20250426 Where'd You Go (debut by Linkin Park) Up From The Bottom (live debut) Until It Breaks verse 3 over Mike's Solo Medley some tasty stuff going into this leg. thinking with some of the new positions we have some new rotations, I'm thinking: - LFY/POA/FTI - OEO/GTG/Stained Would love to see that the new part of Mike's solo is a rotating verse deal, too.

It's time to get busy, everyone. Linkin Park kick off the next leg of the From Zero World Tour on Saturday, April 26 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas! This marks the beginning of what will be the band's heaviest touring schedule in nearly a decade - starting with this one, it'll be a nearly non-stop ride until we reach the South American tour dates in Brazil in November. After having stopped at three cities throughout the United States in 2024's run of shows (Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Dallas), the band will be embarking through most of the rest of the country over the next few months! United States Leg 1 dots the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard as they trek from Texas to Oklahoma and Michigan. They then bounce east for shows in Maryland, North Carolina, and South Carolina, before rounding things off with two festival appearances in Ohio and Florida. Spring is here and LP is bringing it to a rocking start! You'll be surprised to find out - as the LPLive staff were when we looked it up earlier today - that this will only be the band's third performance in Austin, and their very first headlining show in the city. The only other shows the band played there were all the way back in 2000! And it gets even better - the band hadn't even released Hybrid Theory yet when they had last been in Austin. Additionally - on top of the obvious Emily and Colin, this will be Phoenix's first show with the band in Austin, as Scott Koizol was touring with them in mid-2000 due to Phoenix's obligations with his other band Tasty Snax (you can read more about this on Phoenix's Linkinpedia page). The first show in the city was at the climax of Union Underground's An Education In Rebellion Tour in August, while the second was in mid-October (two weeks before Hybrid Theory came out!) in the middle of the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour. Both shows were at the Back Room bar/club. With only a partial setlist known amongst the two shows, there's not much we can confirm from these shows, but it's certain that the crowd were treated to raw, early performances of songs like 'One Step Closer' and 'With You.' 'By Myself' is confirmed to have been performed on the Ridin' High Tour, and the first known performance comes from a show only three days before their Austin one, in Springfield, Missouri. Needless to say, Austin fans have been waiting a long time for Linkin Park to return to their city! Linkin Park performing 'By Myself' live at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on November 10, 2000. Their last performance in Austin in 2000 is only the second confirmed performance of the song ever! The band's first few shows of 2025 showed that they are ready to blow fans away for the rest of the year. The band performed three shows in Mexico in January and early-February before flying over to Asia for two shows in Japan and one in Indonesia, and even between the six shows, the band kept the surprises rolling! The band reorganized the setlists from 2024 a little bit for the first six shows, introducing new rotations, live debuts, and even a welcome return. Set A4 kicked things off in Mexico City, the interludes and set-structure remaining the same, but with some new additions! 'Overflow' and 'Good Things Go' made their live debuts, as well as a new version of 'Lost' that goes from the piano version they were playing last year into the full band version! 'Over Each Other' and 'Two Faced' changing their positions in the setlist, while other songs were ultimately dropped: the early-set rotation featuring 'Points Of Authority' and 'Lying From You,' while 'Leave Out All The Rest,' 'Breaking The Habit,' and the 'My December' and 'Friendly Fire' rotations were replaced by new songs. Another From Zero track made a debut of sorts as well, in the flashiest way possible: Mike sang the bridge to 'Cut The Bridge' during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out.' No matter how many times I type that, it will always feel insane. 'A Place For My Head' replaced 'Lost In The Echo' as the Set A rotation. The band's next show in Zapopan revealed more changes, with 'Casualty' rotating out with 'Keys To The Kingdom' for some The Hunting Party representation and 'Lying From You' becoming the Set B rotation - it featured in the encore for the first time since Taipei 2013 at the end of the Living Things World Tour! The finale of the Mexican Leg in Monterrey revealed the final rotations, and perhaps the most surprising ones for Set C: 'Given Up' was added to the "scream" rotation, and 'From The Inside' made its Emily and Colin debut as the rotation song in the encore! It was the first song to be "revived" with the new lineup since 'All For Nothing' in Arlington (or arguably the first since 'A Place For My Head' since 'All For Nothing' was a live debut), and the first time the song was ever featured in the encore. The rotations persisted in Asia, though with little surprises thrown in. The band's two shows in Saitama coincided with Mike's and Phoenix's birthdays, which were celebrated both nights. Since the band played back-to-back shows at the same venue, they added an extra rotation for Night Two, performing 'Points Of Authority' in the place of 'Crawling.' The tour ended with the band's first show in Jakarta since 2011, at the end of the A Thousand Suns World Tour. Mike, Emily, and Colin also debuted an acoustic version of 'The Emptiness Machine' on the Japanese TV show DayDay. All of this happened in only six shows, so we can only imagine what's ahead of us! Linkin Park performing 'From The Inside' live for the first time with Emily and Colin in Monterrey, Mexico on February 5, 2025. What's the next song Linkin Park will bring back out of their locker? The two months between the last shows and this show was the longest break the band gets all year, and they've been quietly rehearsing for at least a few weeks now. They've released two new songs (with 'Unshatter' dropping on Friday!) as well as announced the release of the Deluxe Edition of From Zero, so they certainly didn't rest too much! With that being said, let's talk about what we might expect to see the band whip out throughout the rest of the year. It's all but confirmed that the band will be debuting 'Up From The Bottom' with Mike confirming they will be "playing the song on tour" on the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Awards, and with 'Unshatter' dropping the day before the tour kickoff, it seems like the band want the fans to learn it a bit before they hear it live! In a recent interview, Mike said they had been rehearsing "three... or five" new songs, leaving a lot of possibilities! It seems like the band will be changing up their setlist a bit more, with a promise that their sets on the tour will be diverse. From From Zero, 'IGYEIH' and 'Stained' are yet to be performed at all, and 'Cut The Bridge' still needs a proper live debut. Colin mentioned 'QWERTY' in a TikTok livestream earlier in the month, leading to a great deal of speculation that the song may be coming to the sets soon (though he later joked about how much trouble he got in for mentioning it)... He also mentioned last year that he'd like to play 'Runaway' live. Emily has stated that she would like to perform 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Blackout,' while the one song Mike mentioned ('From The Inside') has already entered the rotation. This lineup of the band seems to be enjoying the heavy side of the music lately, so songs like 'QWERTY' could fit right in with the energy (and would fit real nicely in the "screaming" rotation they've got going on). The LPLive team is hoping for songs like 'No More Sorrow,' 'Guilty All The Same,' and the return of 'Lost In The Echo' - what songs do you hope the band bring back out in 2025? Linkin Park performing 'Good Things Go' live in Zapopan, Mexico on February 3, 2025. The band seems really excited to perform everything from the new record live - with only two (and a half) songs left, which one will be next? grandson is returning open for the band once again on this upcoming leg of the tour! Anyone who saw the American or European shows in 2024 with grandson opening knows that he is as ecstatic as the rest of us that the band is back and kicking, and he definitely put on a show worthy of celebrating a monumental occasion. For his opening sets in 2024, he kicked his shows off with a snippet of his collaboration with Mike from Post Traumatic, 'Running From My Shadow' before diving into his own '6:00.' He delivered heart-touching moments with songs like 'Heather' while also exploding on his own tracks like 'Blood // Water.' It's a performance you don't want to miss, so be sure to get there early if you can to catch him! grandson performing 'Running From My Shadow' and '6:00' at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California during his opening set for Linkin Park on September 11, 2024. Who's excited to see him again? Maybe you'll see him in the mosh pits! Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul's got his job back now that pre-show posts are back (despite government defunding...) and can report that it'll be a cloudy and wet day... but less wet than it has been for the rest of the week with some showers early in the afternoon leading to overcast skies! So dress for some spring showers but be ready to jam. LPLive founder Hahninator will be flying in to the city to see the tour kickoff, so if you see him be sure to say what's up! The band continues north through the interior U.S. for the next shows, with their first show in Oklahoma since 2008 on Monday, April 28 and their return to Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 31. 'Unshatter' drops on Friday, April 25, so be sure to run it up on streaming services so you'll be ready to sing your lungs out in case they debut it at the show! The band is also releasing plushies in collaboration with Youtooz on April 29, so ready your wallets for those too. We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)! In memory of Nick Kramar, we dedicate this pre-show post and our coverage of the show to him.

The band's brand new single 'Up From The Bottom' - the lead single for the upcoming From Zero (Deluxe Edition) release, is out now everywhere, with a music video to go along with it!
-
Riding off of the coattails of one of music history's biggest comebacks, Linkin Park has burst into 2025 with their new single 'Up From The Bottom' and a music video - but there's more! The band will be releasing a new Deluxe Edition of From Zero on May 16, 2025 featuring three brand new songs: 'Up From The Bottom,' 'Unshatter,' and 'Let You Fade.' TRACKLIST: From Zero (Intro) (0:22) The Emptiness Machine (3:10) Cut The Bridge (3:48) Heavy Is The Crown (2:47) Over Each Other (2:50) Casualty (2:20) Overflow (3:31) Two Faced (3:03) Stained (3:05) IGYEIH (3:29) Good Things Go (3:29) Up From The Bottom (3:03) Unshatter (3:16) Let You Fade (3:28) The Emptiness Machine (Live) Heavy Is The Crown (Live) Over Each Other (Live) Casualty (Live) Two Faced (Live) The album is available to pre-order from the band's official store. There are two vinyl variants (a translucent emerald green and ghostly orchid) as well as two CD options (regular and an expanded booklet edition). A merch drop featuring a few other items also dropped at the same time. Also, there will be a limited japanese edition of the 2CDs and that one comes with acrylic smartphone stand and keychan as a bonus. The five live tracks likely come from the digital releases earlier in the cycle, which were paired with proshot live videos on their YouTube channel. 'The Emptiness Machine' was from the launch show in Los Angeles, 'Heavy Is The Crown' from London, 'Over Each Other' from Paris, and 'Two Faced' from Brazil ('Casualty' has not been shared in full yet), so it's likely these recordings are from these shows, though this is not confirmed. The digital (streaming) version will not feature the live tracks. While we have 'Up From The Bottom' to enjoy until the release of the new music, we can share one tidbit from the From Zero Linkinpedia page. In their "From Zero: A Conversation With Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong" talk, Mike and Emily talked briefly about old demos, including 'Unshatter': "Mike described the process before Emily joined the sessions as "if it was a painting... then it starts with a blank canvas, and then we sketched something, and we erased it. And we sketched something, and we erased it... and slowly, it started to be like, 'maybe, this part's good, maybe that part's good...' and then we started to go, 'That's it,' and that's when [Emily] showed up." Some of the first demos Emily sang on were called "Unshatter" and "Vertigo," the latter dated around 2019. This period was very slow and scattered, with them going through periods of not even seeing Emily for weeks or months. The demos from this period were inconsequential musically according to Mike, but were necessary for them to get to the first step of putting together the next Linkin Park album." Other songs mentioned include 'Vertigo' and 'Breathing Underwater,' which could still appear somewhere down the pipeline.

Headlines like this really remind me that we are in a new age! Three Linkin Park songs will be added to Fortnite Festival, a game in the vein of Guitar Hero or Rock Band, made by Harmonix who are responsible for those games as well. 'Faint,' 'The Emptiness Machine,' and the new song 'Up From The Bottom' will be available to play on vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. I'm not too familiar with Fortnite Festival to confirm, but hopefully we will be able to get the stems (the individual tracks) from these songs as well. Fortnite Festival includes tracks from hundreds of artists from Linkin Park and Metallica to Katy Perry and Dua Lipa. It's great to see that Linkin Park's music, both new and old, will be potentially hitting a brand new generation of listeners here. Anyone going to be playing these tracks in the game? The pack drops on Thursday, March 27 alongside the release of the band's new single 'Up From The Bottom.'

Before heading home for what will be their longest break all year, Linkin Park return to Jakarta, Indonesia for the final show of the Asian Leg of the From Zero World Tour on February 16, 2025 at the Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno. It has been quite some time since Linkin Park has last graced the stage in Indonesia! This will only be the band's third show in the country ever, the last being on 2011's A Thousand Suns World Tour. Their show in Jakarta in 2011 was the third-to-last show of the whole world tour behind Bangkok and Singapore, and featured a wide array of tracks across the band's discography at the time. New tracks from A Thousand Suns like 'When They Come For Me' and 'Blackout' graced the city, while tracks like 'No More Sorrow' and 'Shadow Of The Day' also got some time to shine after the country had been skipped on the Minutes To Midnight Tour. The band's first visit there dates all the way back to the summer of 2004, the first Asian date on the Meteora International Tour. The band appeared in the country despite travel warnings from the United States government, which led to cancellations in the country from the likes of Missy Elliot, Limp Bizkit, and Garreth Gates that summer. The band still performed the show, however, as the country stood as one of their biggest markets in Asia at the time. Out of concern for their female fans, Chester stated that the show would start early at 4:00pm so everyone could get home in the safety of light. Despite the controversy, Linkin Park delivered a massive first show in the country, churning through Meteora-era hits like the Hip-Hip Medley consisting of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down.' The legendary Nine Inch Nails cover - 'Wish' - also graced Indonesia's ears during the encore. With a lot of catching up to do since 2011, the band's third show in the country will surely be another one to remember! Linkin Park performing 'In The End' in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 21, 2011. From the way the crowd sings this one, you can tell the fans from this country love the band. There's a lot of singing to be done at this show, too! Another cool note about this performance - Brad plays the guitar harmonics from 'Pushing Me Away' during the second half of the second verse, if you listen closely! The Asian Leg of this tour has been an eventful one, if not a short one! The band played two nights back-to-back at Saitama, Japan's Saitama Super Arena, and threw in a bunch of variations to spice things up between shows! The band celebrated Mike and Phoenix's birthdays on the first night, blowing out candles on a cake onstage before 'Casualty.' Set A4 made a return, featuring 'Casualty' and 'A Place For My Head' as the rotation songs and 'Castle Of Glass' in its interludes. The band has been matching their last song on their pre-show playlist before they walk onstage with the country this year, with Vicente Fernandez's 'El Rey' in Mexico, the Pokémon Theme Song on Saitama night one, and 'Monster Zero March' from the original Godzilla soundtrack on Saitama night two. Another note is that Mike accidentally sang the demo lyrics to 'Cut The Bridge' during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out' at this show, too. Saitama night two followed suit with an extra rotation slot: 'Crawling' rotated with 'Points Of Authority,' making it the first show to not feature 'Crawling' and the first appearance in 2025 for 'Points.' This modified version of Set B4 (listed as V5 on the paper set) featured this along with 'Keys To The Kingdom' and 'Lying From You' as rotations, as well as 'Burn It Down' during the interludes. The performance of 'Keys' marked the first performance of any material from The Hunting Party had been played on Japanese soil - this statistic is even crazier with Indonesia, as no music since Living Things has been performed in the country. This'll be the first time Indonesia's had the chance to singalong to numbers like 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Burn It Down,' and we can hope for a surprise appearance from more tracks from The Hunting Party and One More Light too to pop up. Jakarta is lined up for Set C4, featuring 'Given Up' and 'From The Inside,' the latter of which is fresh off the press with the band's new lineup, having debuted in Monterrey, Mexico earlier this month. Linkin Park ripping 'Keys To The Kingdom' live in Saitama, Japan on February 12, 2025. The first song from The Hunting Party to be performed live in Japan - will Indonesia see some similar statistics be broken? Who's heading to the show? If you're in Jakarta this weekend, be on the lookout for a Linkin Park-themed Tahu bulat truck going around the city and grab a bite before the show! It's monsoon season in Indonesia, so it's no surprise that Weatherman Rogue sees thunderstorms and rain in the forecast for Sunday, and it'll be hot and humid to boot. So be sure to stay dry and light and get ready to jam with the band! Not sure if there's an opening band or not yet, but I'll update the post with information as it comes. After this show, the band takes the rest of the month, March, and most of April off before launching into the busy part of the year, kicking things back up on April 26 in Austin, Texas for the first leg of the United States tour. With the cancellation of the Sick New World festival in mid-April, there's nothing on the live schedule until the end of April, so the band may have some extra time to prepare some new surprises! We'll have you covered on the setlist and all the fun stuff that happens at this show, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)! See the rest of Linkin Park's 2025 touring schedule on our live guide.

This is all stuff we WOULD put a note for, it's just a matter of we can't always find 100% of the little mistakes that happen between shows, so we list what we can confirm. Largely with bass/guitar mistakes, those are brief/hidden enough to not really warrant. But then look at this OSC in 2012 where it seems Rob fucked it up and confused Brad and Phoenix too: No ill intent meant, the main purpose is to show the differences between each show. Joe messing up an intro is more of a welcome tradition at this point than us complaining lol. Even the band jokes around with each other about the mistakes every so often. Since we're bringing up mistakes, I'll present my personal favorites, coincidentally both 'Burn It Down' - the first one has a pre-recorded instrumental in 2016 with just Chester and Joe where so much somehow goes wrong, and the second is the infamous 2014 Brazil show where everything went wrong lol (Mike plays in the wrong key at the start, Joe misses the cue because Mike stops playing, the whole band forgets they are playing a shortened version of the song). Chester even says at the end: "That was interesting" and then he and Mike both laugh it off. They're professionals - they have a good laugh about it and move on, probably don't think about it a few seconds later.

Linkin Park continue the Asian Leg of their From Zero World Tour tonight with night two in Saitama, Japan at the Saitama Super Arena - and if night one is any indicator, we may be in for the best performances on the tour yet for night two! Night One in Tokyo was perhaps the best the band has sounded since they returned. No major surprises came in the form of changes to the set, but fans in Japan witness the band in full form nonetheless. Set A4 returned, featuring 'Castle Of Glass' lyrics in the interlude, 'Casualty' in the mid-set rotation and 'A Place For My Head' in the encore rotation. While nothing much changed on the surface from the set's last appearance at the tour kick-off in Mexico City, the show featured many little details that made it a whole new night. The show took place on Mike's birthday (and only three days after Dave's), so the crowd took a few minutes to sing 'Happy Birthday' to them both before they blew out candles on a cake brought out by the crew. This heartwarming moment was followed immediately by 'Casualty.' The band dimmed the lights for the last song on their pre-show playlist, invigorating the crowd with the Pokémon Theme song ("I wanna be the very best that no one ever was") -- as a big Pokémon fan myself, this is a phenomenal moment to be alive. The set was riddled with further Pokémon references throughout the night, including Mike shouting "I choose you, Pikachu!" (to which Emily responded, "I look like Pikachu.") right before kicking into 'A Place For My Head.' The band definitely felt right at home and had a lot of fun at this show - Joe even came back out from the encore break adorning a guitar, pretending to play a little before running back to his station. One thing you can always depend on a Japanese crowd is to be the right amount of respectful - singing at the top of their lungs when they need to and showing respect and being quiet during more intimate moments. This practice lead to some truly incredible moments, such as the stunning renditions of the half acoustic/half full-band version of 'Lost' and 'Good Things Go.' Songs like 'Overflow' got moments to truly shine for perhaps the first time, while the classics like 'One Step Closer' and 'In The End' exploded with more meaning than ever before on Japanese soil. Emiy was at the top of her game, delivering huge screams on 'Two Faced' and 'Heavy Is The Crown.' Another cool moment was during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out,' where the normal "Bridgeception" mashup with the 'Cut The Bridge' bridge actually featured lyrics from the demo version of the song (the lyrics can be seen written in artwork on From Zero)! One final detail is that the 360 stage setup returned for this show, but with the end-stage production; what this means is that the band performed with a modified version of their current arena setup at the end of the arena but with seats on all sides. The 360 setup from 2024 will return this summer in the United States and Canada. An absolutely stunning performance of 'Lost' at night one in Saitama, Japan's Saitama Super Arena on February 11, 2025. Night Two in Saitama holds a lot of promise and opportunity - but what set will the band deliver? Set B4 features 'Iridescent' vocals in the interludes and 'Keys To The Kingdom' and 'Lying From You' as rotation songs, while Set C4 includes 'Burn It Down' vocals in interludes and 'Given Up' and 'From The Inside' (the latter of which is being performed with the new lineup for the first time this year). It's not too late to switch things up for a surprise in Japan, though. Last year's 'QWERTY' single release was boosted by a live release from the song's iconic performance from the short but legendary 2006 Japan Tour -- there's no time like the present to whip this one out of the bag, especially after debuting 'All For Nothing' last year for a one-off in Arlington, Texas. On the topic of heavy music and The Hunting Party, no music from that album nor One More Light (barring an intimate performance of 'Heavy' featuring just Chester and Mike in 2017) has ever been performed in the country, as the band's last visit there was in 2013 for a series of shows for the Summer Sonic festival. The band had a three-night residency planned in 2017 at Chiba's Makuhari Messe, but the shows never ended up happening due to Chester's passing. It's the perfect opportunity to bring out 'Keys To The Kingdom' to give Japan some well-deserved Hunting Party action, and even perhaps 'Friendly Fire' to give them the One More Light action they missed out on equally as much. We're still waiting to see Emily, Colin, and Alex take on more numbers from these records, especially 'Guilty All The Same,' 'Final Masquerade,' and 'Talking To Myself.' The band has rarely ever performed a single night in Tokyo when headlining in the city, always playing at least two (and sometimes three!) shows in the city back-to-back. This practice goes all the way back to 2003, where the band played three nights at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan. The second night featured the addition of 'My December,' being performed for the first time since Projekt Revolution 2002. The third night featured a further addition of 'Nobody's Listening,' marking the first time the regular studio version had ever been performed after having been extended earlier in the year. The band played two completely different setlists in 2007's two shows at the Saitama Super Arena, bouncing between tracks like 'Hands Held High' and a 'No More Sorrow' opener on night one and a 'One Step Closer' opener plus 'Leave Out All The Rest' on night two. The band's 2011 venture to Chiba saw both different setlists and the 5th LPU Summit, a tradition we'd like to see return soon. LPU members entered the venue early to explore the band's live setup and get up close and personal with them, asking questions and sometimes even being treated to an acoustic performance or soundcheck. These shows are remembered for them being the debut of 'No Roads Left,' which had its first verse and chorus performed over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out' for a few shows around this time. Will 2025 continue the band's legacy of unforgettable back-to-back nights in Tokyo? The band delivered what was perhaps the best performance yet of 'Overflow' at the Saitama Super Dome in Saitama, Japan on February 11, 2025. Which songs will shine in night two? Who's heading to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul here to report a chilly but sunny day in Tokyo, so dress warm and get ready to jam! A reminder that there is no opening band AND the band will be taking the stage quite early, with doors at 4:30pm and show time at 6:00pm. After this show, Linkin Park's wrap up their Asian Leg this weekend on February 16 with a show in Jakarta, Indonesia before heading home to rest and gear up for the real gauntlet of touring they have coming up. With no shows for the rest of the month or March after Jakarta, the band will return to the United States to kick off their first of two legs in April. And don't miss the stripped down performance of 'The Emptiness Machine' that Emily, Mike, and Colin performed on the Japanese morning show DayDay! We'll have you covered on the setlist and all the fun stuff that happens at this show, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)!
