i guess i'm in the minority who love everything/anything from Xero era. the raw sound and Mike's creative ideas making music at young age, always interesting to me.

The band being experimental trying out different things/methods > playing it safe. That doesn't mean I wouldn't mind hearing other more conventional stuff though.

Coizu however is referring to the fact that a lot of actual big budget films were shot on 35mm film, and there is a lot of detail in that. You can actually rescan the film and it will look great, as if shot today. Check out the 4K remaster of The Matrix from 1999 - it looks like it was shot yesterday. And actually, it will probably always look better than Star Wars Episode III from 2006, which was shot on 1080p digital cameras (the 4K remaster is comparatively unimpressive imo).

You're 100% with this. Thankfully the recent SW movies were shot on film and not digital like in 2 & 3 (1 was actually shot on film aswell).

Seems like we are celebrating Mark's career, so much stuff with him on vocals

He was awful i just wished that everything was Chester vocals.

I hope there's more official/unofficial Mark's tracks (love him, no irony) so this guy or anyone that constantly, for no reason, keeps bringing Mark down because his name wasn't Chester Charles Bennington, can keep acting like a 5 year old.

I'm really glad we got this video from Mike, always nice to see some more content from him.

And we got to take a look at the Hybrid Theory EP vinyl. To be honest, I was kind of hoping I would look more like this fan-made concept (idk, i just really like the back cover of the EP):

    hybrid_theory_ep__vinyl_fanmade__by_aber

But still, finally getting HT EP is such a big deal to me and I'm so excited about it.

I'm 100% thankful that they decided to use the original '99 artwork with the scary baby, always loved that design way more than the LPU '01 re-release. But I guess they used the remasters and not the original tracks.

Me. Not Wakefield. He claimed Mike totally screwed them with SOB since Mike was doing LP at the time, blah blah blah, blamed the label BS on Mike. I replied and said that's all out of his control if he has to run a global band in the middle of their biggest album cycle yet. He exploded. lmao.

Well, that's unexpected from him. I know Ryu and Tak have been very vocal about Warner fucking with them big time (funny cause Ryu posted a while ago on his social media accounts that he didn't recieved a milestone plaque for RTN and he 'jokingly' answered a question someone else did about him asking for Mike to send him one of those).

I don't know but the whole Welcome remix confussion/music video was already very weird to me.

I HIGHLY doubt that instrumental was made "for the lols," because that would mean the instrumental would have been written with the vocal in mind. That's not how their songwriting process worked back then. That instrumental was probably made months before Chester ever sang over it.

99% likely this too aswell. There's a crap ton of unreleased Meteora stuff before they started recording.

I saw your message and immediately went to Amazon, I notice that on the current listing the Super Deluxe is still $199, but on my order its $176.99, so that's a pretty good $25 discount. Its an international order for me so I appreciate it hehehe.

126 pounds for me, over 140€, not complaining.

To be fair (and forgive me if I'm wrong)  if you listen closely to that clip from the making of, Chester is singing over something. Obviously the "Wizard song" itself is just Chester messing around. But there is a distinct instrumental playing in the background that hes singing over (and maybe another vocal track?) Who knows what that was. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Meteora demo akin to the ones released on LPU.

He was just singing over a base easily made by Mike for the lols (just notice how extremely similar sounded to 98% of the Meteora demos we've heard so far, same drum machine and guitars).

Can't remember any good Joe remix since his work on Reanimation.

CFTI MTM remix, his solo DJ perfomance during the THP tour cicle or the Hawaii 5-O remix as a few examples.

Pretty solid if you ask me ;)
