    01. Guilty All The Same

    02. Given Up

    03. Points Of Authority

    04. Until It's Gone

    05. Faint

    06. Until It's Gone (Extended)

I ripped this from the Palladia version of the Rock am Ring 2014 highlights that only broadcasted the 2 songs version so far. The audio quality is excellent and very clear. That's also the reason why I refrained from taking the other 3 songs from the MTV Live version.

This is a new rip from the recently aired MTV World Stage Rock am Ring 2014 on Palladia. With the 5 songs now available in better quality I decided to turn this into an EP. The mixing is great and I wanted to have a listenable version for the iPod etc. of this great performance.

I put quite some work into this, mixing the Palladia version with the radio version to fill some of the gaps. Some changes were applied to improve and restore the original track transitions putting GATS, GU and POA back into their original order. I decided to keep UIG before Faint since that is a much better closing than the original running order (which would make UIG the last song) and the transition was already there anyway.

As a bonus track I made an extended version of Until It's Gone restoring the original No More Sorrow/Catalyst intro and the extended outro that was removed in the butchered official release and mixed this with the Palladia version.

It's also my favorite performance from GATS so far. Enjoy!

Fully tagged with the artwork, read to be imported into iTunes etc.

I'm also seeding the video here.

  2. I think version 2 of OSC came from a different platform, it definitely has more tracks than the first version. There are also track differences between Xbox and Wii versions.

The Rock Band 3 versions for example have more tracks than the GH: Warriors of rock versions we got at first, they didnt have clean vocal tracks.

For example the first version of What I've Done, one of the first one's we got, as rippen from the Wii version of GH World Tour with no clean vocal track. The Xbox rip came out in 2011, same number of tracks but different arrangements in the tracks. just one drum track but nothing else in the vocal track.

    too lazy for links now

  4. Right.

Damn those reviews really hurt the eyes, one of the reviewers says the opening band. If GD was really there they would have let an impression, there's also no recording. Lack of something doesn't prove it of course.

I guess eventually they still played the show in the Electric Ballroom, they played there all the time so they'd still get the place filled. Limp Bizkit played a few more shows with Faith No More so I think they didn't really replace GD.

  5. Very interesting. Tempe is very close to Phoenix, so it's not a totally different city entirely. Maybe the show was moved to a bigger venue. It's possible that Limp Bizkit replaced GD (for whatever reason), I think we would know if they opened for Faith No More at one point.

  6. With the rules that we revised this year, youtube links are allowed unless they contains a download link in the description, since youtube doesn't officially allow downloading. Otherwise we'd have to warn everyone who posts a youtube video by the another band for example, that's pretty dumb.

Radio edits are not official material if you can't buy them. Very simple, if you can buy it it's not allowed.

  7. I only ever had the VCD version from Acidburn, was there even another? I completely avoided all those artificial webcast DVD's back in the day that were just created for the purpose to have something to trade. Replacing the audio with the AUD audio seems like a very weird move to me, I totally understand if that was added as a 2nd track but it shouldn't replace the original.

BTW the torrent has some very funny comments

  8. To make this clear enough.

So, basically there is no full instrumental track of OSC in multitracks of it? There are only separate instruments, and all those instrumentals of this song were actually hand made from them?

If so, then why do we have it listed under #1 in OSC multitrack list?

Or was there one full instrumental of OSC in multitrack, which is also not prefect for some reason, and then there were couple others made from the separate tracks manually?

If so, what exactly is wrong with the full instrumental that was initially in the multitrack?

There are at least 2 very different versions, but no idea what games they are from

version 1 that we got in 2008 has: drums, guitar, rhythm, song

song contains the vocals and a few other things, like the shutter sample, that prevents it from being a perfect instrumental, not to mention that the drum track is weirdly mixed anyway.

version 2 from 2011 or so has: kick, snare, cymbals, bass, guitar, vocals, extras.

the vocals are clean in this one, but the background vocals are in the extras track.

I don't understand why the first version is listed since the 2nd one is so much better. At least my version doesn't have the instrumental track you are talking about. It seems to me that someone just added this and it wasn't originally there.

I also have a version of Given Up that is not listed here. Similar to OSC, one from 2008 with 5 tracks and from 2011 with 4 tracks

  9. I forgot where I read it but besides the HDMI capture card you also need a device that removes the HDCP encryption from the HDMI signal. These are illegal, not that it matters lol, I saw that you can even buy one on Amazon, no link sorry I'd have to look it up, it just doesn't say in the official description that it's able to do that, that's another $50-60 I think.

The encryption in both the VOD and TV is the thing what makes it all a true pain in the ass.

  10. There's always a way, you just need to know the right people with the right equipment. We have tons of other stuff from encrypted tv channels, what makes it extra hard with directv is that they have their own hardware that is totally locked down. What I don't get is that no one was even able to do a dvd recording of it.

As much as I want this I highly disagree that someone buys the $200+ equipment just to get this transfered. This takes a lot more effort than I thought, I guess we have to keep looking for the right person to get it done.

Even if you use an external drive or remove the drive from the DVR, it just won't work.

  11. I tried to figure it out about a year ago:

    - One Step Closer (looks like the Kings College 2001 show)
    - Papercut / With You (Mike has blue hair, Chester has spiky blond hair, looks like February 2001 onwards, maybe Europe, they have a red backdrop with their other logo and the soldier on it.
    - By Myself (hard to tell, Mike has red hair, Chester black, I'm pretty sure this is from a 2000 show, maybe a festival performance or something with bigger bands, they were not headlining) It might be possible to figure it out if someone recognizes the venue.
    - A Place For My Head (that one actually seems to be from the Dragon festival show)

  12. It was always encrypted but it was cracked. The encryption is preventing recordings from being played outside your standalone receiver or whatever you use for watch the channel when you have a subscription. If you record something encrypted it renders your recording pretty much useless, you can't remove it afterwards, if the encryption is cracked there are ways to record stuff without the encryption.
