In theory yes but you would be just wasting your time, plus who'd want something like that? It was just something that had to be done and not to find a loop hole in our own rules.

And all the videos stile have the same old shitty quality from 8 years ago.

On a side note, it's quite funny how often someone says "Hey let someone from the staff say if it's ok" and then someone else comes and says "it's ok and posts a link".
I think it's completely ok, since we have parts of official dsps offered for free on home page
For the record the files are deliberately altered and edited from the originals, these are not the exact DSP files.

Got the DVD, working on it now.
Mark if you plan to upload the old wav files you should convert them to flac, that should save a lot of space.
-
I hope that was not meant to be a serious comment...
I can't believe no one has done this yet, I think I could get it done if I had the DVD, I know a few things about DVD's and audio.
My only concern is if we should even post it here.
EDIT: After doing a bit of research, I think the reason it wasn't done until 2005 was that the used encryption method was uncracked until that point. The encryption seems to be the main complication here, as usual.
But as Astat said, years ago it was way more complicated than it is now.

I didn't like what I heard so far but I'll wait for my final opinion after the full track is out.

Both Mega links are still working...

It matches the What I've Done MVI version 100%, wasn't able to compare it to the Circuit City version.
EDIT: Circuit City is definitely different from this.

I don't think LP directly has ever said no, it's just that the crew or Pooch for instance never denied nor confirmed it, it's was never really a secret.

Thanks!
Just in case no one has noticed it yet, there's very noticeable auto tune in Final Masquerade around 0:19 to 0:23

They should sell them with the tickets and display a message on the screens before and after the show, they would easily sell thousands. It is clearly something people want, everyone wants a recording of a show they just saw, the CD's at the booths sold out most of the time. The site was a mess to, people had all sorts of problems, just email the stuff to the people. Making it all online only doomed the whole project if nobody knew they were still selling the shows.

A poster to a show in 2000
You have to link up the pic directly, I get access denied.

Recording the shows doesn't cost them anything extra, but mixing and releasing as DSPs does. Apparently the sales didn't cover the costs anymore, but we don't know for sure it that was the real reason.

The short songs / medleys is their way to fit more of the classics into the set, instead of actually dropping stuff. I think at least for this cycle they just delayed this inevitable problem. Going back to 20 (full) songs they'd have to drop a ton of stuff. They could fill an entire set just with the stuff from HT, Meteora and MTM that people want to hear so badly.

Wanted to say the same. The voting would hugely depend on what's for vote. I'd doubt it would even include EP stuff for example.
Just look at Metallica and their Request tour, most of the shows had the usual stuff voted by fans, only a few had some rarities. We'd have to work together to get something special voted for LP. Casual fans are the big majority and they want to see the classics aka the singles, so many people don't even know Easier To Run or And One, so they'd never even vote for them. If people for example had to vote between 2 songs, the single would always win.
People go crazy for Numb, Crawling, In The End, One Step Closer etc. and the band knows that. They are in a very difficult situation having so many singles. We've seen people on Carnivores whose world would have literally ended if they didn't play Crawling...

lol this is not LP's Facebook

The US shows might be a good indication if they'll change something.
But they really need to change something for the European tour because last time they changed nothing because they were too lazy to rehearse. This time they have way more time, and even they know they can't play the same shit again. They always changed stuff in Europe, even if it wasn't always massive changes.
I'm not expecting a massive change but exchanging a few songs would totally do it, add something new from Hunting Party, bring some older song back would be enough.

Let's say it's Youtube's answer to spotify with music videos.

The name was changed in 2008, the ticket and the poster both have the TWC name on it.

Mark and I talked about it the other day we are totally down to do it, it's just a matter of getting started / working it out, what to say etc.
I think it's pretty crazy that the RHCP fans managed to achieve this with only roughly 5,000 signatures over a time of 2 years!!!!
There are millions of LP fans out there, if we do it we have to get way way more. Getting a higher number in a very short time is also very impressive. LPLive alone has over 30,000 followers on Twitter, if only every third person would sign that would be 10,000 already.
I guess it would have been better to do a petition 2 years ago BUT the reason we didn't do it was simply that no petition ever worked, petitions were simply overused in the previous years, fans started petitions for everything! and when something out of those many petitions coincidentally happened it was concluded petitions work. I personally think those petitions never worked.
But anyway, this RHCP petition shows that it apparently can be done. Change.org seems like a serious way to do it and I think if we do it, we can do waaaaaay better than they did.

For the older shows, at the very least they recorded the shows that were released as bonus live tracks over the years, but that was also mentioned in our open letter. It's very likely they recorded many more.
