If stickers/artwork are considered "useless" now that makes pretty much every LPU package ever released useless lol.
-
Any explanation why it's split up?
-
I asked Phoenix the exact same question and there will be at least no direct part 2 to this winter tour but they might not even tour the west coast for the rest of 2015, since they had a very big US tour in 2014.
-
Voting for songs has to be either done when you buy a ticket or via LPU otherwise it is not fair and easily manipulated. I think Metallica is a good example that shows that most people still vote for the stuff they'd play anyway and really rare songs barely make it into the set but with LP it would depend massively what they would offer us to vote for. I'm sure they would exclude a ton of stuff.

You are kidding right? Did you forget about the shoelaces, ear buds etc?
-
yeah seriously, they just want us to forget about it

During Waiting For The End, after the 2nd chorus the samples suddenly stopped for a couple of seconds, it was very noticeable. Apparently there's no video yet.

Try this http://www.bilder-hosting.info/viewer.php?id=opt1415825176f.jpg and then enhance the picture

Read some interesting info about the 4k stuff. If we manage to get a recording and you want to watch the 4k version on your PC, you might not even get a smooth playback with a quadcore cpu lol, because HEVC is supposed to be decoded by hardware. The HEVC codec is even unsupported by Youtube at this point so you cant even upload the original file there.
Here's a screenshot from the demo channel that I found, to get a taste of the resolution: http://www.bilder-hosting.info/bilder/opt1415825176f.jpg
Apparently 1 hour is 13 GB.

First of all you could look at the size and inspect it further with Mediainfo in terms of bitrate and lengths. TS and MKV are just container files, they are not formats, so it doesn't say anything about the actual content inside the container.

Honestly, what good live tracks could they even put on the CD unless it's something really old and rare? The only live track I'd want would be My Own Summer live from PR 2002, and that's actually something realistic.
-
I'd dont fully understand why you need both the receiver and the card, unless there's no dvbs2 card yet that can do 4k.

About 2001, while Offenbach is very close to Frankfurt they don't belong together, some people are very sensitive about this lol. It's like saying New Jersey is a part of New York haha.
Anyway, I'm going to the show and sadly my last one on this tour. It's my kind of hometown show if I might say, I don't live in Frankfurt but that is as close as it will ever get. It's my third time seeing them in this venue, always great shows and I really like the venue.
I hope I can meet all the people I want to meet at the early entry.

Getting the channel AND recording it is a whole different story. 4k TV is pretty unknown territory at this point. Yesterday I read that the channel blocks timeshift and recording with the receiver, what other ways to record it in 4k even exist?
Of course you can hook up a DVD recorder to it but recording the thing in actual 4k is the real challenge here.
-
Does anyone know exactly how region specific this is? For instance, Germans can obviously get it. However, how much more of Europe can get it? UK? Russia?
There's a map here:

Yea, and the Tech generation skipped 2K video, which is lower than 4K but bigger than 1080p or 1080i
2k and 1080i/p is almost the same, the difference is pretty small so it makes sense to skip it. Full HD would be 1.92k
-
LOL 3D is even more useless than 4k.
-
No it's to remastered, mastered for itunes basically means that the mastering was optimized for the AAC codec that itunes uses. the whole point is that you don't notice any differences that come with the lossy codec compared to the CD version.

I think no one says that this song is fake, it sounds real and you can even hear Lorenzo talk, but that doesn't proof anything. It's not hard to make up a song list when you have info about one of the songs, that's the same thing that happened for the fake Hunting Party track list.
If someone who was actually says it's supposed to be Track 9 then that raises some doubts. The track list is either completely correct or fake, there's no in between with a wrong song order or something.
-
the info is so exact, if it's real there has to be further proof, like a sheet of paper it was typed from or a photo that was taken, that's definitely not mouth to mouth delivered information.
-
This one posted 37 mintues after the original one, they got the info from him (probably).
No way he would leak it himself like that.
Why would you only play that track from 2002?
To not spoil too much? because people record that stuff, and the M&G is way too short to play the entire CD.
-
Yeah but a wrong song order seems unlikely to me when all the other info is so detailed.
-
I was only talking about the HEVC codec which is not yet supported by every brand. It's a demo channel so no encryption.
It's basically just a huge marketing gag because it's the first UHD live concert broadcast but it doesnt really help anyone especially not the fans.

Download for the audio that I recorded from the "radio version" of the channel:
2014-11-19 Berlin dvbs radio.mp3 241.3 MB

It's one file, not tracked. I just don't have the time to do it now.
WARNING:
The sound before 5:50 minutes is extremely distorted, I leveled it all to the same volume but it's still loud and awful.
It was like that in the broadcast, the audio is also in mono for some reason.
