Just as I suspected, the DVD file is slightly different since the original .mpeg is not 100% DVD compatible. The audio of the DVD file is reencoded.
-
He's talking about the Anon source.
-
We want to find out what the canceled shows were.
-
No, what I'm saying is that the .mpeg is already a slight upscale/reencode since the files were joined, a DVD would be another reencode since the audio would require it but I guess Blink1n can fully enlighten us.
-
My file from 2005 is a .mpeg.
VOB is just a file extension, not an actually format. mpg or mpeg, it's all the same just like jpeg or jpg. The audio needs to be reencoded to make the file fully DVD compatible, it's in 44.1 kHz instead of the required standard 48kHz, it wouldn't surprise me if the videos are upscaled from something like 640x480 to DVD resolution, since it would be odd for a digital camera from back then to record directly in DVD resolution.

There's still no official confirmation if and when it will be released.

I think Froctagon actually sounded the way it did pre-mastering.
Maybe, but we are talking here about the same studio that mastered LPU5 lmao.
-
Very sensational title, thanks!
-
What I don't understand is how something like Froctagon can sound so shitty in quality while something like After Canada can sound so good in quality. 4 year different and the latter sounds worse in quality?
It's just shitty mastering/editing, it has nothing to do when this was recorded. It's not the quality, it's just too loud.

It could be the original name but that still might be a typo.
I'm pretty sure it's Joe on the vocals as well, the whole robot and R2D2 stuff fits more to Joe anyway.
-
so the Dave Sbeat typo is on the CD case as well...
-
I thought people who are able to do that got in touch with you already?

The cover on youtube is different, the cover that came with the free song doesn't have any names on it. His name is in the id tags of the mp3. You can't deny the fact that he is credited for the entire album, even if he didn't work on every song. I know that that doesn't proof anything about White Noise but who do think is playing drums on this? That's not even Rob's style.
I don't have any other proof, BMI wasn't updated yet and I think the LP.com post along with the youtube post is literally the only time his name was excluded.
How do you know that?
He's not credited, so he officially didn't work on it. They mention only 4 members of the band for a reason, it would be much easier to say LP if that really was the case. The tracks also have guitar, does that mean Brad also had to be part of the project somehow?
-
Back then when this was posted on LP.com I think they simply forgot Alec's name. He's credited for the entire soundtrack. His name is also in the free mp3 download for this song.
What is more likely, that the forgot his name or Rob's, who officially didn't even work on this project.
-
Alec is a drummer, and the other 4 LP members aren't, it's as easy as that. Someone pointed it out before.
Where do you see that he's not credited on White Noise?
-
Alec Puro is playing the drums in White Noise
-
What some of you don't seem to understand is, recording something is one thing, transferring it to a PC another. A lot of DVR devices don't support transferring recordings for this very reason.
-
Please avoid using zippyshare or any other hosters where the downloads expire after a certain time.
-
Thanks! I'll fix the source info.
-
It seems like they don't even bother to release a Bluray in the US. Really weird.
-
The link was broken for quite a long time, sorry about that, I completely forgot about it. It's fixed now.
-
Isn't that the Anon source?
-
i doubt they'll change the music, these are edited versions and won't match the final versions anyway, they might change the credits though, with the new titles + dancer is missing anyway + reference maybe where the soundtrack is available.

I know that for example in Germany sometimes movies get a different english title for a certain reason, I can name a few examples
- Horrible Bosses was changed to: Kill The Boss, because that's apparently easier for us Germans to understand.
- Taken (with Liam Neeson) was changed to 96 Hours, I think it was done because of a movie with a similar title or something like that.
- Cradle to Grave -> Born 2 Die
I guess there are many more but these are probably the most prominent examples. As you can tell, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense sometimes. Not to mention title translations can be extremely different from the original title.
BTW
Very Bad Trip is the French title for Hangover
