  1. Damn that is disappointing. I thought for this CD they'd have long stuff like Catalyst and TLTGYA. Really hard to believe MTM is that short. Shadow and TLTGYA are longer tracks. If you add NRL and ATL to MTM though you get over a 50 minute album. Blackbirds makes it even longer. \m/
  2. Yup Waiting on a few more submissions first!
  3. Added show notes. http://lplive.net/shows/20120518.php
  4. Awesome, have fun! I'd like to see With You open up again and also A Place For My Head in full somewhere in there. Otherwise I don't care what they do because those 2 would be epic. Other hopeful ones but probably won't happen are Reading My Eyes and P5hng Me A*wy. Surely they get tired of playing the same songs over and over at least you would think, lol. From ATS: Wretches and Blackout but I bet Blackout won't return Maybe a longer outro to Faint, that'd be cool to expand on what they have already. Just excited to see the band playing live again since it's been a while.
  5. S is right next to the D. Possible!
  6. Woah that sounds badass dude. Can't wait to hear it. Glad they are changing stuff up. Maybe the verse is from a new song.
  7. Time for the first preshow post of 2012! On the 16th, LP played their first show of some sort of 2012 at their rehearsal studio Third Encore in Burbank, CA. This was a KROQ "winners only" rehearsal (show page here). From this rehearsal we can gather several things - 'New Divide', 'Given Up', 'Papercut', 'Waiting For The End', and 'Faint' will be played this year but hey, that's probably all a given except for 'Papercut' - we're VERY glad to see that one returning! 'BURN IT DOWN' made its live debut as well. One interesting thing from the rehearsal is 'Waiting For The End' is listed to have an 'Apaches Intro' and at the rehearsal had 'No ext. outro'. It'll be exciting to hear the new intro and possibly a new outro as well. We also had a setlist sneek peak the other day via Phoenix on Twitter that had 'BURN IT DOWN', 'In The End', 'Numb', and 'Bleed It Out' (w/BBoys Bridge) in the encore. 'Numb' being placed in the encore for the first time is interesting and I know we're all stoked to hear the new bridge for 'Bleed It Out', which we assume will make its debut at this next show - a small, intimate LPU-only show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA on the 18th! This will be the first full show of 2012 for the band and also the first time a touring cycle has kicked off with an LPU show since the 2003 LP Underground Tour. The last LA show came at the Mayan last August (show page here) for a Music For Relief benefit show so it's no surprise that this show will have proceeds donated to Music For Relief again as well. The last time LP has played this actual venue was in 2007 for Jimmy Kimmel Live (show page here), where they played a full set. They have only played it one other time - the last show of 2002 (show page here) for a Young Angels benefit show that we don't know much about. Here's a sweet video of the Mayan show's 'Bleed It Out' with the fan-favorite 'A Place For My Head' bridge: Since the last show for the band was all the way back in September in Singapore (show page here), we are excited to see the new setlist the band will debut in West Hollywood. At that show, 'One Step Closer' was in the number THREE (!) spot. Interesting! What songs would you like to see them play at this LPU show? Would you like an old song or two to return? Will we get 'With You' perhaps? Or will LP stick with a standard festival set since their European Tour starts soon? Would you like to see certain songs move around in the setlists? Or new intros/outros to any? Will we see more than one new song played? Who's going to the show?! Anyone Tweeting it live for us? The DSP website at downloads.linkinpark.com sadly hasn't been updated for 2012 shows yet so hopefully we get a DSP of this afterwards. After this show, Linkin Park plays the Billboard Music Awards on the 20th in Las Vegas. The European Tour starts on the 26th in Lisboa at the Rock in Rio Festival and includes Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and Pinkpop performances as well as appearances in Romania, Poland and Ukraine. This will be a great tour to start the LIVING THINGS touring cycle. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint 03. Papercut 04. With You 05. Runaway 06. Given Up 07. 8. First thought - hell yes Papercut will stay Second thought - sweet that they are experimenting with new intros/outros. WFTE I bet will sound a lot better. and third thought - maybe BURN IT DOWN is the only new song for this tour? I'm sure for the US tour they have rehearsed probably most of the album but if they were playing another new one for Europe/Hollywood I'd think they would have played it at the KROQ rehearsal. but maybe not! Regardless, cool to have the shows already starting.
  9. Agreed. The Coldplay cover was amazing. It'll be interesting to see how LP incorporates the song into Bleed It Out.
  10. With several shows coming up this week, including the House of Blues show in West Hollywood on Friday and a KROQ winner-only "secret" rehearsal most likely the day before, it's no secret the band is rehearsing for the upcoming tour. Phoenix recently posted a picture on Twitter that includes the encore for what we can assume is a new setlist. The band I'm sure tries out several different sets and ideas during rehearsal so there's no telling if this will even be played live, but it's pretty cool to check out at least. Maybe this clues us in to what is going to be played Friday. Check it out here. The rehearsal this came from was on May 10, 2012. The portion we can view in the setlist is: "Encore: Burn It Down In The End Numb Bleed It Out w/BBoys Bridge" Thoughts on this? What song do you think they incorporated by the Beastie Boys into 'Bleed It Out'? Do you think this might mean the end of 'A Place For My Head'/'No Roads Left' being sung/played over it?
  11. $50 isn't too bad.
  12. Rumors are now circulating that Linkin Park will headline Soundwave 2013, possibly with Godsmack. Soundwave is an Australian traveling festival that hits major cities in the country. 2012's Soundwave featured System Of A Down, Alter Bridge, Bush, Slipknot and more and traveled to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. On the 2007 and 2010 Aussie tours, LP hit all five of those cities (or suburbs of them) so this would be fitting for them to play. The Soundwave Festival usually runs from late February to early March. Chester confirmed recently that the band plans to hit Australia on this touring cycle, so this is definitely possible. Source here. Thanks to Neil for the heads up!
  13. Just try and remember (or write down) what they play in what order That'd be really helpful!
  14. Thanks - updated the main post.
  15. Can you tell us when/where the rehearsal is when you find out?
  16. Never did that with ATS though, never said I loved that one Just tore it a new asshole and said meh a few tracks are cool.
  17. I learned last time from the ATS reviews of "oh Rob fucking rapes the drums on the end of that one song, oh it's so good" -> Iridescent. FML. I learned don't judge anything until you hear it yourself lol, ATS reviews taught me people on first listen tend to think it's way more epic than it really is.
  18. The guy is as biased as it gets, lol
  19. KROQ posted today about a private dress rehearsal with the band that you can win tickets to: "We’re hooking up some lucky winners with a very special pair of tickets! Not only will you see both Link Park and Incubus at the Honda Civic Tour, but you’ll also be invited to a private Linkin Park dress rehearsal at their studios!" Not sure on the date, but this is surely going to be something cool for the winners! Let's find out when it is.
  20. Not interested in ketchup and potato pics or hundreds of irrelevant posts. Thanks though. Not very interested in "hunts"...I'd rather just wait and let someone solve it and enjoy whatever it is at the end. Not worth spending hours on.
  21. Thomas posted on his Facebook page - I'll let you know if he replies.
  22. Holly didn't leave Machine Shop because of that lol, she left because they shafted her along with SOB, etc when it came to albums and recording.
  23. Word. I preordered already before this too. Oh well.
