    My Suffering!

you're absolutely right mark, and in additional I think the stuff we've heared from "let down" is a bit overproduced too, I don't like those high voices they put over chesters vocals in some songs..though the songs are really awesome!!
  2. Marth

    Chester

maybe what kind of drugs he took, when he had problems with that..he mentions it a lot when he talks about where he gets his inspiration from, but i think we've never heared any details... oh, and dead by sunrise just uploaded a new video called writing "out of ashes" on myspace...it contains footage of another song...maybe something for the newswire
  3. "let down" sounds very amazing...ways deeper than "crawl back in" in my opinion...cbi sounds a bit too mainstream.
  4. awesome pictures... sad that there were not more LPLive members in graz...but discussing with you guys, mark and jonas was great...thanks for all that... marth
  5. am I wrong, or are there 6 guys on the stage? chester, amir, ryan, brandon, elias and who is the 6th guy?
  6. amazing! we should have LPU agents every time who ask for little changes like that one yesterday
  7. hey guys, this is marth from Graz, Austria again.... to start with, I have to say, that I really did not expect to write a review of an Linkin Park show again after my last year's review (which you find here ), because it was quite a surprise to hear that Linkin Park will be touring again this year...in fact, I would never have dreamed that they would be coming to my city again... this show was not as fastly sold out as the one last year...but nevertheless quite fast... I thougt that there would not be that many peploe queuing up at noon, because it was one of the hottest days in Graz this year so far (37 degrees celsius, that's about 99 degrees fahrenheit I guess...) but the amount of people there at this time was, well, giant.. like last year, I queued up at like 2pm, and due lucky and partly unfair circumstances, I managed to overtake like another 100 people... I had a great time the whole afternoon, lots of interesting conversations about LP and also some bets about the first song (which I won, because I already expected the setlist of Athens and Istanbul... ) when they opened the hall, I used my athletic power to sprint to the front and got into the first row... there was a girl right next to me, who said, that she had queued up the day before at 3 pm, and slept in front of the hall...you should have seen her face, when I told her that I had been there 23 hours later, and still got the same place she got during the show... due the lack of water, the heat during the show and maybe chester's HOT, tatooed and sweaty naked upper part of his body (I am not gay) she, well, fainted during...faint (i know this sounds unreal, but it was quite funny - but never mind, she wasn't pretty xD )...so again...stupidity deserves punishment we waited quite a long time until the support Funeral for a Friend came to the stage and played about an hour or less. they were okay, but like last year Enter Shikari by far not as good as LP xD after another eternity it suddenly became dark and "Session" started to rock the whole hall, and everyone went crazy...this intro was REALLY powerful, and amazing...one of the best moments this evening. i was praying for another setlist, but after "Given Up" had started, I knew it would be the expected one...a bit disappointed, but still rocking I took out my cellphone and twittered the first two songs, so that you guys could read the setlist on Lplive.net... I was busy at the beginning of each song..but it was great anyway "From The Inside" and "Somewhere I Belong" were really cool, and warmed us up... the "No More Sorrow" intro was pretty cool, and the beginning of "Lying From You" was one of the rare moments this evening when the band interacted with the crowd... the new intro of "Points Of Authority" with the first "Petrified" verse was very hip-hopish and funny, while there was no A Place For My Head Outro, only the regular "There They Go" "What I've Done" was performed very powerful and bright, while "Leave Out All The Rest" was greater than last year in terms of musicality, because Chester's voice was not as exhausted as last year during the big tour...but anyway I think that the vibe last year was better, because everyone had the cellphones and lighters up in the air, and the band really talked to us about the song and the video etc in 2008... "Numb" was one of the loudest songs, because everyone sang along (I hope you will hear that on the DSP) there was a very long and also very cool piano intro to "Breaking the Habit" which really felt epic.. During "Shadow Of The Day" I recorded a video, which I put on youtube...hope you like it There was a quite big, dark break before "Crawling" where mike said quietly that he he was nervous but was going to do it a little differently...and then: SURPRISE - 2nd verse of HandsHeldHigh over Crawling intro for the FIRST TIME EVER! ...I knew this was and historical moment... "Bleed It Out" surprised with his new, very advanced Drum Intro... After this one, there was the encore break and we all went crazy, because we wanted to have mooore! finally Mike got onto the stage and played a deep note with his virus-whatever-thing-instrument...and he pulled the tone up and down very slowly for about a minute - this was the intro to the great "New Divide" which was, in my opinion very outstanding and kickasss and probably the best song of the whole evening "Faint" was very funny, as I already mentioned, and "One Step Closer" was a dignified finale... After the show I managed to meet Mark(Hahninator) and Jonas(AndOne), two really amazing guys. We discussed about the show and the next shows etc. a very rich conversation among Linkin Park freaks from all over the world...We also took a photo (below), which is very adverse, because a drunk fan from Vienna made it in the wrong moment Summing up, it was a very exciting show, with a Best Of setlist, not including specialities like Valentines Day or In Pieces last year, but nevertheless very powerful and bright, they could have interacted more with the crowd...they didn't even said "hello graz" or something...but that's no big problem...the show was just unique and great... I took some quite cool pictures of the show and a video, which can be found : about 11.000 people at this show Setlist: 01. Session 02. Given Up 03. From The Inside 04. Somewhere I Belong 05. No More Sorrow (w/ long intro) 06. Lying From You 07. Points Of Authority (w/ new intro; Petrified over intro, There They Go over outro) 08. What I've Done (w/ AMBO intro) 09. Leave Out All The Rest 10. Numb 11. Breaking The Habit (w/ early 2007 intro) 12. Shadow Of The Day 13. Crawling (w/ Hands Held High 2nd Verse intro) 14. In The End 15. Bleed It Out (new drum solo intro) ------------------------------ 16. New Divide 17. Faint 18. One Step Closer Hope you enjoyed reading greetings from austria, marth
  8. according to this site of a local newspaper here in graz, which made an interview with chester bennington yesterday, out of ashes will be released on the 12.september this year....after the show, stickers with the album cover and this release date were given away... marth
  9. i love it !!! especially the bridge :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
  10. I am from Graz...you can add me in the Austria Section...I am goning to the Graz concert on the 23rd of July this year.... marth
  11. Hey Guys!! I just got my Ticket for the LP Graz show on the 23rd, July show !! looking forward to it...it will be great!! I hope that they will play new songs... Greetings, Marth
  12. YEESSS!!!!!!! My City....i did not expect that they would come again.... Looking forward to it!!!!!! mk
  13. hm.... i think it's cool that LP is experimenting more, but i am afraid of that they will move in the "wrong" direction (i know that "wrong" direction depends on your own opinion), but i don't want them to be too pop...or too electronic.....but we'll see.... marth
  14. thank you yeah, you're right, it isn't that big, 11.500 people are the maximum capability of the city hall... you should to know, that the city hall is the second largest venue for a concert in graz, so we don't have bigger halls, the biggest venue would be the UPC Arena for like 20.000 people, but maybe LP was not that sure, if they could fill the arena, but i think now the know, that they have enough fans in Austria.... marth
  15. Oh no!! I think Warner loses its mind.. ..or better, its money!! i think they have lost so much money, that they have to do "dirty" actions now i see no other reasons to be that asocial now... they put all warner right videos off youtube... they now put fanpage-owners into jail what about free internet society? whats going on? I think LP should act at this point, i mean that guys are people, who put such great effort into this, only because they are great LP-fans! nobody should be punished for be a LP-fan
  16. hey guys, hey lplive! I am Marth from Graz, Austria, where LP played a concert on the 18th July in 2008 Well, what is important to say here is, that this was the first big Linkin Park - "stand-alone" concert in austria, additional to this it was the first linkin park concert i went to, because i was not allowed to go to the nova rock in 2007 when linkin park played there (i heard that LP at the nova rock was incredible ) and of course i was not at the 2001 concert in vienna, austria, because i was too young and didn't know that this concert was, although i was a LP fan at this time... the concert was sold out after like 2 days and i am glad that i got a card... at the day of the concert i went to the city hall in the early afternoon (like 2pm) to queue up (i would have been there before if i had not had this stupid, but important test at school...) anyway, i managed to get a good place in the like 3rd to 4th row, very close to the stage.... before the concert i talked to a lot of people, and found out that there were both hardcore fans like me and people, who only knew a few songs from MTM and numb... the problem with this concert was, that lots of people who only knew "shadow of the day" from the local radio that doesn't play harder songs, were there, but they got their asses kicked out after a few songs ( i remember a little group of 3 13-14 year old, pink dressed girlies, who started crying and leaving after 2 songs of "enter shikari", the support of this show... stupidity deserves punishment enter shikari was not bad (nothing in comparision with LP, but good anyway), they had some fun on the stage.... we all went crazy when LP entered the stage with What I've Done, but i was surprised because i expected the setlist from Brno the day before (one step closer) anyway it was amazing, me and some friends started to make a pit during faint, but didn't succeed for a longer time, because the people around us were boooring...but later we contiued and everything was alright... the setlist was perfect in my opinion, i only hoped for "the little things give you away" (my favourite song)... after being warmed up with "faint" and "no more sorrow" it coutinued with the exciting "wake 2.0" (god, and i guess i was the only one who knew that it was wake 2.0) "given up" rocked the house afterwards "lying from you" and "don't stay" really brougt the meteora-spirit into the hall me and my friends were very surprised about "in pieces", because it was my cousins favourite song and it was performed perfectly i am so sad that they didn't record the concert....( "somewhere i belong" was just awesome and "Points of authority" rocked with his new outro after this mike said a few greets and" thank you for coming to this show" and something like: "...we just released the video for this song. And for the video we went to outer space. You guys like outer space?" *everyone screamed* mike:"put up some your lights lets go..." chester:"...and some cellphones".....and then "leave out all the rest" started...it was so perfect and dark and ...just amazing...one of the best moments this evening...even of my life.... "numb" was very cool, although a friend sat on my shoulders because i promised him that he could do that during "numb" then "shadow of the day" came and all the people, who only knew this song sang along, put out their earplugs...and just heard the only reason why the came to this wonderful concert.... "valentine's day" was very cool, and i am glad i heard it, because it was rarely performed during the ProjectRev Tour in summer2008... another really unique moment was the athmosphere during the "crawling" intro (without HHH)... the drum solo of rob bourdon during "bleed it out" was very cool too, and made the audience go crazy the last 4 songs were the best part of the show...it was so uniqe.... the best athmosphere of the concert (in my opinion) was during "pushing me away" - Studio version! dude, that rocked! we were very rowdy during "a place for my head" and went totally insane when mike jumped into the crowd right in front of us and touched us.... yeah, "one step closer" was the perfect ending for the show... it was the best concert i was ever on...the crowd could have been better, but who cares, the music was great 11.500 people at this show Setlist: 01. What I've Done 02. Faint 03. No More Sorrow 04. Wake 2.0 05. Given Up 06. Lying From You 07. Don't Stay 08. In Pieces 09. Somewhere I Belong 10. Points Of Authority (w/ "Petrified" and "There They Go") 11. Leave Out All The Rest 12. Numb 13. Shadow Of The Day 14. Valentine's Day 15. Crawling (reanimation intro) 16. In The End 17. Bleed It Out ------------------------------ 18. Pushing Me Away (studio) 19. Breaking The Habit 20. A Place For My Head 21. One Step Closer hope you enjoyed reading Greetings from Austria, Marth
