  1. Couldn't agree more. Mars first few records were really good, but they've gotten a little weird for me lately. From what I've seen on YouTube, their shows look strange.
  2. After one listen...I still think Rebellion is the best song.
  3. There's no need to try and jam a piece of every song they've made in to the set.
  4. BYouTube just stopped showing it and went back to commercials. Unreal.
  5. . I misjudged how long they were, but they're still not full songs. I know it was only the first show, but there's really no excuse for them not to play for 2 hours at this point. They're one of the biggest bands in the world...90 minutes doesn't cut it.
  6. I don't understand why you guys are considering Robot Boy and Blackout as being played....they were played for 30 seconds as intros. That's not playing a song. The actual setlist contains the same amount of songs as it always does... 20-22. I like the set, but I'd rather they just add a few more full songs and cut out all the partial stuff.
  7. It's really only 20 actual songs, and plenty of them are shortened. The interludes are not songs...they last 20 seconds.
  8. The more I listen to it... The more I don't like it. Just seems predictable and boring to me.
  9. Exactly....all I've heard is how this record is going in a completely different direction than the last few records...and then we get this.
  10. All we've heard for months now was how hard this record is going to be.....and then they release this. I understand that not every track is going to be heavy, but this is exactly what Mike was saying they were going to get away from.
  11. I don't understand anyone who is blown away by this song. I thought it was boring and the lyrics were terrible. Not impressed.
  12. These CD's are always way overhyped. Its cool to hear some demo's, but they really don't hold much "re listen" value..at least for me. And I honestly don't understand people going crazy for PRIMO...the drums are awful and sound out of place from the second they arrive in the song. I wish LP would realize that not every song needs some type of computerized drum beat in it.
  13. God, I wish they would make a few songs that were more like QWERTY.
  14. OK....there are two different songs. Why not more. I knew it would be the same old stuff. They really need to vary the sets more IMO.
  15. That is not a new setlist. It's the same songs, in a different order. LP have so many great songs, I'm not sure why they insist on playing the same ones over and over. It gets kind of boring after a while.
  16. For a band that is always talking about moving forward, they sure do play a lot of "old" songs. I like the setl for the most part, but I wish it had more LT in it.
  17. I've gotta say, after listening a few more times, it's really growing on me. A few of the songs are a bit weird, but I think this one will end up being one of my favorites.
  18. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but "rockish" isn't a word is use to describe what I've heard.
  19. Been right here with everyone else. I was just hoping that they would trend back to their roots instead of moving further away from them. This isn't a cry for tons of guitars and HT type songs all the way through the record, but from what I've heard so far, IMO, this album is trying too hard to be different instead of concentrating on making great songs. Just my 2cents.
  20. Listened to 4 songs so far, and not surprisingly, I'm disappointed. I just don't understand what this band is anymore. Experimenting is one thing, but why completely abandon what made people love you in the first place? Too many electronic beats, and songs that sound like the only goal was to be different. Weird stuff.
  21. Couldn't agree with this more...well said. Electro-pop is not the kind of music I'm into and Mike's verse is just awful. I really don't understand what the hell this band is trying to be, but I don't like it. I honestly believe that the guys in LP much prefer electro music to rock music, especially Mike, and this is what we end up with. I'm sure the album will have some great songs, but I don't look forward to a LP album the way I used to. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with ATS, some of which I really like, but I'm afraid that this is the stuff we will get from them from now on and that bums me out. Just my 2cents.
