I hope they just put a PA sticker on the plastic wrap, so that the cover is free from anything other than the art that was released. Those pictures are great, I wonder if they'll all be in the booklet or if they're just variations of each other?

Although Mike keeps insisting that fans who preorder the album from their website will get the mp3s of the album as soon as it's available. So it's possible that while Australia may get the CD earlier than the rest of the world, the mp3s will still be emailed to everyone worldwide regardless of their country's release date. I could be wrong, though.

Looks like if you get the Deck or the T-shirt, you won't get the album, on CD anyway. You get to download the album on 9/14, though. That's what I understand. From the site: Every purchase includes: The mp3 version of the album delivered first - even with skate deck or tee purchase.

Hmm. That's interesting, seeing as I would only buy the CD/DVD anyway, lol. Still, anyone who gets the fan edition is fortunate!

The skate deck and Fan Edition look bad-ass for anyone who can afford to buy them. I have to agree that the shirt is kinda "meh," though. What I want to know is why would I want to pre-order from LP.com than anywhere else? Just so I can get the single on 8/2 and the album mp3s on 9/14? :/

Thank you! Already put it as my wallpaper. I have to say, the album cover is not what I was expecting, which is probably a good thing. It may seem bland for some people, but you have to admit you don't usually see this kind of art on the cover of an album. Usually.

Told you guys...I know it was fun deciphering the linkinpark.com/message every time they had a new one, but thinking there's a hidden meaning to everything is really taking it too far.

If it was done on purpose, then it was pretty pointless. It's not like there's any actual info in the circle, just some guy fiddling with what looks like a camera. Which I already explained a few posts up. That's just a viral website for the whole "Year Zero" thing that Nine Inch Nails did. Pretty much has nothing to do with any of this, besides the fact that everything on it is distorted.

It's not that he fits in the circle at all. If someone was taking a picture of the single art through glass or something, then the dark part of the circle of course is going to reflect the person. He wouldn't show up in the white area because it's too light to be reflected in. Does anyone get what I'm trying to say? We're probably just looking too hard into everything...Mike made us super-paranoid.

Same here. Not what I was expecting, but that's a good thing. The distorted pictures are definitely growing on me.

Looks like they took out the stuff mentioning MixParade. Also, the sound effects or whatever you would call that audio in the intro & outro sound awesome. Really electronic and distorted, like the pictures on their website.

Qft. LP is not about to put a remix of a song on the same disc that the original is on, as it would ruin the album-listening experience. People should know that by now.

Thanks for saying this. That's exactly what I think to myself when I come to the forums and read everyone's negative comments about Dead by Sunrise, Blackbirds, Not Alone, etc. What kind of fan blatantly attacks any element Linkin Park without having a good reason to do so (it's not constructive criticism if you say they "suck" or "ruin the song")? Just because you don't like Mike's vocals doesn't mean your opinion is the right one. A lot of people seem to like it, and others want to give the whole song a chance when August 2nd comes around. So we'll just have to wait and see. Then criticize all you like.
