That would be Camden. I personally like Mansfield and Holmdel but I am biased about Holmdel because it's a home show.

Walking In Circles is probably gonna be the first single, Morning After will definately be as well. After all it's been around for years, in fact almost as long as LP and Chester knows that we know that. My Suffering will probably not make it as a single but might be a fan favorite, though who knows I may be wrong (I wouldn't be too upset if I was lol).

Damn dude ur pretty damn lucky, uve seen songs live from every album at this show. (pre-M2M era wise).

LPPRJKT4 replied to linkinmetalfanatic's topic in Everything Linkin Park
First of all it's Daredevil, and second it's def not LP. First of all one of the band members wud've said somethin about the song if it was, and it was confirmed a while ago that it wasn't LP. -
Nice I wanted to go to this show so badly, but I cudnt get tics. =( It's cool that u drove over here all the way from Massachusets just to see this show too, it wudve been like a 20min drive for me lol. Actually I passed the venue on the first night on the way to the Continental Arena to watch the NJ Devils lol. I think Taking Back Sunday was on stage I can't remember.

Did anyone here ever attend any of the famous Mountain View shows in 04 and 07?

IMO 1.0 doesn't really count as an LPU CD, it's just a re-release of HTEP for the old LPU members. In a sense neither does 3.0 cuz it's just a sister cd to live in texas. I really like LPU 2.0, 4.0, and 6.0. Qwerty, RME, Standing In The Middle, High Voltage (Live in London), Wish, Hip Hop Medley, With You (Live in London), and PMA (Piano Version) own all. Of course I also loved APFMH from Live in Texas so I like tht song from LPU 3.0.

What is the song that got you into Linkin Park

From the Inside is my fav but not the song that got me into LP. -
What is it? Post it here. Mine is "Nobody's Listening."

My beginnings with LP? I got into them around the year 2004, around the time they collabed with Jay-Z and started PR04. I was at the beach with family and my cousin was listening to his new mp3 player. I asked him what he was listening to and he let me listen to the song "Nobody's Listening" by Linkin Park. About a minute and a half into the song, I fell in love with it. I asked him who Linkin Park was and he told me that they started a new style of music that combined rap with rock. (he didn't realize there were bands that had tried that before LP) Then he told me to listen to "In The End" and although I was not as impressed with the song, the sheer creativity and energy of the song made me even more impressed with the band. A few weeks later I got a few more LP songs from my cousin again, "Numb, "Pushing Me Away", and "Numb / Encore" and they became my favorite band.

PC rite here baby!!

Mike made a statement about the DSP's in the beginning of this year saying that they don't mind if we share them.

On Febuary 21st, 2008. I attended a Linkin Park concert in Madison Sq. Garden during their North American Arena Tour. All I can say is that they tore up the entire arena that night. For me it was a non-stop adrenaline rush all the way to the end. We came in while Coheed and Cambria were in the middle of their set (we came a little late because of traffic so we missed Chiodos) and although I am not a huge fan of their work, they were pretty good that night. After that they went off stage and we had to wait for a few more minutes. Joe and Rob came on stage and started to play Wake and eventually Brad and Phoenix came out, then Mike and Chester. They finished Wake and broke into the powerful Given Up. Chester sounded really good though I wish he had done full 17 second scream. After that they went through the normal set of songs (Lying From You, Somewhere I Belong, No More Sorrow, and Don't Stay). Mike Shinoda seemed to be having a lot of fun during Lying From You and rapped it really well. The SIB and NMS intros were both incredible!! I was even more pleased to hear Don't Stay which is one of my favorite songs off of the Meteora album. After that they did Points of Authority with the Fort Minor song Bloc Party over the intro. Though I was glad to hear them do Fort Minor stuff it wasn't my favorite song and I had hoped for something different (actually a few hours before the show I made a prediction that they would rap Bloc Party over POA). Then Chester made a short speech about how happy the band was to finally play at this important venue and they started playing some slower songs (In Pieces, Numb, and one of their biggest hits, My December). In Pieces is one of my favorite song on Minutes to Midnight so even though Chester's vocals were a bit off on the song, I loved it the whole way through, they went through Numb with an extended piano outro that blended into their next song, a piano version of the famous My December. The crowd went mad when Chester started singing the song. My December ended and the piano intro of Breaking the Habit began. There was an extended piece before the original intro as well. They finished it and played Shadow of the Day though there was nothing special on that song. Crawling was extended and had the full Reanimation intro!! After Crawling they played the legendary In The End and during the bridge Chester had the crowd sing instead of himself. They finished In The End and Brad Delson played a one and a half minute long guitar solo, then they played the intro to A Place for My Head. Once again the crowd started going crazy. Then Mike pleased the fans even more by stopping the song after the intro and jumping down into the pit section to play the song from there. He stayed their throughout the song, then came back on stage for One Step Closer, which they played before the 1st encore break. Then the band came back out and started In Between, which had Mike singing instead of Chester!! (This is also my other favorite song on Minutes to Midnight) I would say this was definately Mike's best performance of the song on the entire winter tour. The song ended and the What I've Done ambo intro began. Then they broke into their Minutes to Midnight hit after it was over, and went backstage again for the 2nd encore break. I had been expecting them to come back out and play Bleed It Out, then close the show with Faint, however they did something entirely different and surprising! They came out with a special guest who had not performed on stage with them for two years! The guest was Jay-Z! I was already wiped out for the night, I had wasted most of my remaining energy on A Place for My Head, One Step Closer, and In Between, so I did not notice him at first. I seemed to hear the samples for the song from far away even though I was right by the stage, and at first I was wondering if they were redoing Points of Authority and mashing up the first verse of Numb / Encore with it, then I saw Jay-Z and I instantly woke up. I rapped with him all the way through Numb / Encore and Jigga What / Faint. If you see Jay-Z waving during the proshot video of Numb / Encore he is in fact waving to me (at least I think he had sunglassses on but it looked as though it was directed towards me I was right in front of him when he waved). Then he left and Linkin Park closed the set with the second Minutes to Midnight single, Bleed It Out. The single was extended and had a drum solo during the bridge, and an extended outro. Rob Bourdon threw me a drum stick after his solo and I was about to catch it, but I was pushed out of the way and almost off of the stands by this drunk girl who was also trying to catch it! Although I was extremely pissed at her it did not spoil the last few minutes of the concert and I loved every minute of it. This was one of the greatest nights of my life and I hope that those who attended the concert had the same experience I had.

I couldn't agree with you more ravok. Amen.

I just want to say that everyone should stop bitching about the new LPU8 CD. You were all so pissed off about two months ago about it prob having live tracks so Mike listened to you guys and decided to switch things up for you all!!!! Now you guys are complaining about something that was just supposed to give you all a laugh and show that they can do any style of music!! The band listened to you guys and you are pissed off that they listened!! Even one of my friends who doesn't exactly like Linkin Park but knows a bit about them and knows about the LPU from me, feels very annoyed at this. I don't mean to be rude, but there are way too many whiners on this topic rite now, if you don't like the album say you don't but don't start sending a bunch of hate mail!!!
-
It is Chester lol, his first released rap song!!
-
It wasn't just Chester or Mike that suffered near the end of the M2M tour, the whole band couldn't play as well as they did durin PR07 cuz they barely had any time to rest in between shows. They basically went all out durin PR07 which left them a little energy for the arena tour in winter and spring 08, and then they should've stopped, but they did another European run and PR08 so of course they'd be wiped out. (this show was last european show so it was before pr08 but still the entire band was really tired).
-
They sounded the best on PR07 but the arena tour had the best set lists.
-
To be honest, I'm not that surprised for some of them. Dedicated is prob their most popular LPU song (LPU1 IMO doesn't count cuz it's just a re-release of HTEP) and ASP is their first instrumental since Session, LPU6 came out before M2M so Wake didn't exist yet. As for Part of Me and And One, LP prob wanted their fans who were obsessed w/ the old stuff to not think they forgot bout it.
-
It's ok I'm sure it'll end up on e-bay soon enough, great to hear they put some HTEP on it!! To be honest I wasn't expecting such a great tracklist, tho I wish instead of Sold My Soul To Yo Mama they put Standing in the Middle. That's a great song.
