but then there are alot of people who say things like "it's not what i was looking for" or "it doesn't seem like something LP would have" or something. that's who i was really kind of targeting. so for some people, the difference from the past is definitley a factor whether they realize it or not. i mean i do think an album cover is very important because it's all about first impression and artistically, it was obviously influenced by the most important part, the music. not saying that if you don't like t he album art you won't like the music, but the art is another important factor in the overall mood of the album.

i am a crazy devoted saw fan, have been for years. same goes for chester bennington. i think i just peed myself with excitment. THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME. YEAHH!

i can genuinely say i like this. alot. like i've said before, people are hating on this because it's crazy different from anything LP has ever done. i have to admit, a lot of linkin park fans really can never be satisfied and just simply do not understand the meaning of change and moving on. if you genuinely don't like it, than you don't like it and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don't make it sway your opinion on LP as a whole, or of Mike/Joe for this matter. HT and Meteora had a similar kind of feel for artwork (along with music), and i liked the artwork on both of those. then came MTM, which marked the transition point in everything linkin park. the artwork was completely different, much more simplistic, (and in my opinion was the worst they've had), but it was a change, and a respectable one. now, with ATS, it's yet another change. although black and white like MTM, it has a very different vibe to it. much more mysterious and artistic in an abstract sense. i personally like it. but, notice a pattern? majority loved HT and Meteora art because that's the OG linkin park. than majority hated MTM art (and music, for that matter..) because they changed. now, i definitley feel like ATS will bring another MTM effect because people need to get it in their heads that LP will not stop changing. and i, for one, respect it and am loving it. /endrant2.

sounds like we're definitley going to hear something very different from LP soon.. and i'm loving it. people honestly just need to get over the fact that LP will never revert back to their original sound, because, well, it just won't happen. seems like the only time fans get really excited is when they hear something that makes them think the new album will be heavier and similar to hybrid theory. it's really funny how people honestly thought the new album was going to half experimental, half hard rock. that's something LP would do if they wanted to basically succumb to the reviews most fans had for MTM and make them compeltely content. but no, instead, LP is taking their music in another direction yet again like mature musicians should do. i, personally, am so excited to hear this new single / album, and will not be anticipating it as any sort of HT or MTM extension. /endrant.

with the way they are going artistically, i don't feel like they'll do a performance video anytime soon. i dont know. just seems like there's alot of artistic value going into this new album. not to say a performance video can't be artistic: given up is a pretty awesome and creative performance video. imo.

ahh.. yeah it probably is. haven't played around with the stems so i wouldn't really know. oh! sorry! i didn't see it when i was posting.. haha.

this new style is really making me so much more excited for what's to come musically. the catalyst, (one of my favorite words btw) is shaping up to be something substantial, i think. i mean, what a big name for both an album and a lead single. we all knew this was coming but it didn't really hit me until just now, seeing it officially announced. and figures, the day this all occurs, is the day my lpu account expires and guess who is broke as a joke..

earlier someone else said that the catalyst could be a place for a secret show, so either it's another show date or possibly the date of the release of the first single. either way, woo!

the only mysterious thing about this is that top part that's scribbled out. i wonder who the picture is of.. the only other thing i can think of is maybe a clue will be left in the tour section of linkinpark.com, because other than that, this message is sort of redundant... so maybe there is more to this than i'm seeing?

i like mike's hair as of now! it's a good new look for him. someone should play the three keys they're playing just to see. (;
