why can't this board be filled with people like you?

i'm so excited. sounds like this is going to be like nothing we've ever heard before, nevermind sounding like linkin park. all in all, i don't care if there is a huge backlash like there was with minutes to midnight because i think it's so immature of people to hate on linkin park for change. even if you just genuinely do not like what ATS brings, that doesn't mean you have to stop supporting them or stop being a fan. it's ridiculous. and it bothers me to no end when people hate on it because it's not HT or Meteora - GET OVER IT, AND BRING YOUR COMPLAINTS SOMEWHERE ELSE. even if i don't end up enjoying a thousand suns, although i highly doubt that will happen, i will still love and support linkin park.

well actually, the LOATR video was based on the movie Sunshine, and if you've seen the movie, you'd know that the song makes perfect sense with the concept of the video/movie. just sayin. anyways, of course everyone wants it earlier. no need to say it. beating a dead horse here. if only people knew how much time goes into the making of any sort of video, especially music videos.

well usually linkin park songs aren't repetitive at all, but now obviously they're doing something different. and in my opinion, i think repetitive songs can be among the most powerful. one of my favorite songs only has a chorus that's repeated twice and that's it. repitition isn't always a bad thing.

this on DJ Hero would be sweet. actually, that reminds me, the remix by Digitalomat is my favorite, so sick. anyways, I LOVE THIS. this is what you call hybrid.

as i said before, the song titles make it seem like the album will have a bit more of a cinematic feel to it, and i guess it was kind of right in a way haha.

hhahaa nice! glad we're on the same page! and i don't think it's necessarily "because of" Julien-K, but they may have had an influence on it. even if it was just a tiny bit. but than again they said that MTM was their point of trying to find that new sound being totally experimental, and that now they are open to anything and not really holding back.

honestly with previews / stems we've heard, i almost feel like they've all sounded like different songs. every time i hear a new kind of preview i'm blown away at how different it is from the last. combining all of this madness into one song is going to be so incredible. no wonder mike said it's going to be hard to classify the album as one genre. so much love for mr. hahn.

i would agree, but than again they could do a lot with 10 seconds. i feel like fallout might be an interlude into the catalyst, using the same sort of sounds we've been hearing from the teaser videos and whatnot. just a guess.

question: in the 6-track review we got of 5 of the songs including the catalyst, the catalyst was said to be track 6. is that because the 6 they heard were at random?

with all this talk about nuclear activity that went on earlier, i feel like the last three songs will have sort of a chronology to them. fallout could be the start of an apocolyptic feel, referring to fallout shelters. then the catalyst can be the outburst of the explosion, as i think it has shaped up to be a very big song. big as in lots of screaming, heavy drums, and overall really intense. and than the messenger can be the outcome of it all. maybe a 'last person on earth kind of deal.' /just a quick speculation, i could be way off, but i thought i'd share haha just for fun.

this is awesome. 15 tracks! whether 2 or 3 of them happen to be instrumentals or not, either way, that's awesome. i mean i love instrumentals anyway. for some reason going through these song titles, i got a cinematic kind of feel. i feel like some new songs may be much more cinematic / atmospheric which is something LP has never really tackled.

i LOVE the intimacy of this video. it's like all of us got to take a second and sit in their studio and hear what it sounds like when LP are discussing song ideas. and you really get to see the passion in every member's eyes, which is refreshing, as there has already been a lot of negativity toward the new stuff. anyways, i am beyond excited. the word excited can't even contain my excitement.

personally, i think it would be so cool and really interesting if both the catalyst single art and ATS did not have text on the front. it'd be really intriguing, for me at least, and i mean seeing a cd with no text on the front at a store, i would definitley be one to just pick it up and see what it is. but than again, the walmart version will obviously have that big ass sticker on the front saying like, "Linkin Park's new album A THOUSAND SUNS featuring the HIT SINGLE: "THE CATALYST" lol.
