  1. the next album will be "harder" - you can't have duelling bass guitars on an album and not be as heavy as lead...
  2. "a good friend of mine got a copy of the recording - he looked after the video, I took care of the audio. coming soon" double meanings of words get confused in translators hudson, would you mind clarifying what you mean in this scentence? I'm assuming that you mean you only have the audio (since this is the audio thread) but does that mean a good video exists?
  3. same with gig tickets, I saw tickets for LP at the itunes festival going for £80 when the event is free and ebay's policy is that you must charge the ticket face value. reported it, but they stayed up until the day of the concert, I don't think ebay really cares they just have to cover their asses...
  4. just remembered actually, that back in 09 when i didn't really know alot about LP, i was under the impression that my december from the reanimation was in fact the actual version of my december since it didn't sound like a remix but a legitimate release in its own right - yeah I know, pretty dumb thing to think considering it's a remix album, I assumed it to be a b-side or something haha - what a n00b the funny thing is both my friend and I only realised it was actually a remix when we found a mix tape with the original version in her cousin's car on the way to see the band fo sonisphere 2009
  5. absolute. truth. - it killed the original song for me too... do agree it's the best remix album I've heard, but then again youtube-standard remixes are little to go by. (even with high voltage who even thinks two piano notes over and over again makes a song? no me gusta) anyway, place for my head, cure for the itch, runaway, my december - brilliant... the remixes really added something to each track, not just the lyrics over a club beat.

    New Album Previews

yeah the songs do sound a little samey, but I'm liking the driving bass anyway. can't wait to hear Cruel Daze of Summer and Colourcast. Flashpoint Riot sounds lush already! Palm Springs nearly became the chord progression form WID haha! not sure Close Continuance is going to be a track I'll like :/ but like Stone says - need to hear the full thing! 3 days EDIT: if you want to buy the physical copy of the album, do you have to go via their site? i'm having quick look on Amazon uk and there seems to be no pre-order thing, just available from a 3rd party seller in germany...
  7. I'm loving all this anticipation, If they're doing Rock Am Ring/Im Park, it seems likely that a european festival run is go!
  8. bahaha ace...
  9. posted 10 mins ago on Underworld's FB page: the Blackout remix starts at roughly 1:00 N00B EDIT: 700!
  10. like I said - travelling within the US is easier than europe - no language barriers, currency is all the same (the UK is europe too don't forget...) etc. U mad bro!?
  11. for the ATS touring cycle I count 29 US tour dates, giving the US a much more substantinal tour than any other actual country in the world. don't be stupid and ungrateful.
  12. I really agree with this, I'd rather wait for an album that's brilliant than being immediately fed an album that was just a bunch of ok-sounding b-sides from the first...
  13. Bleed It Out Hands Held High I Have Not Begun Wretches And Kings When They Come For Me he still raps...
  14. i don't think UK crowds are that amazing... and I'm saying this about my own country
  15. nothing new since I got rid of my Paypal...
  16. bliss posted the link to an overview a few pages above, I think someone would have told us by now if they filmed it or anything
  17. I do think a more oragnic ATS is possible, but i think phoenix may have been taking the piss on the violins
  18. Muse seems the most likely, I can't think of any other off the top of my head since I'm not in the band and don't know who they've tried asking EDIT: you answer in the "about" section of the site
  19. yeah I really don't see any reason to think that the record'll be out this year. IF as it's being claimed they've finished a bunch of songs, there's still mixing, mastering, plus the huge amount of work that goes into promotion, album production, not to mention the time and effort that goes into the album art now... I know that this doesn't take YEARS to do, but still, I don't think the band would rush an album through just for a couple of festival dates. They've done summer festivals without new material before, and I reckon RaR/RiP will be similar. It seems so unlikely that they'd finish the ATS tour and be so keen to suddenly get back into another huge touring cycle. I think here at LPL we tend to overlook the fact that the band has got family as a priority too
  20. he's in the band... he's allowed
  21. haha, considering how long it takes them to release stuff they'll be gnarly old men by album 10 chester's tats will have gone horrendously saggy, but he'll have the loudest scream for a guy getting a pension and Brad won't even need the headphones to protect his hearing...
  22. I don't even need to blow that up to full size well, LPU stuff doesn't affect me, not a member so yeah... be interesting to see if phoenix says anything even remotely serious this site says... 14:33:31 Sunday January 8, 2012 in US/Pacific converts to 11:33:31 Monday January 9, 2012 in NZ Daylight Saving Time is not in effect on this date/time in US/Pacific Daylight Saving Time is in effect on this date/time in NZ
  23. i would seriously not get your hopes up
  24. yeah, I missed them last time they were in the UK - if their new stuff comes out soon I AM SO GOING to at least 1 date! yeah yeah just a few, I heard a song of theirs on the radio once
  25. hahah yeah, best thing about new record = new tour!
