I second what's been said about last night's reaction to Ballad Medley, the crowd were really loud on that one. The tech problems were minimal, I only noticed them because I was looking out for stuff for the show notes.. mic cut outs were literally just a word or two, GATS/GU intro problems were noticable (GU particularly) but quickly fixed. the only really major fuck up was the screens on BIO but that didn't affect the performance. I wouldn't call this a "glitchy" show by any means. My comment about CB giggling (having watched my vid of it) was actually just like a hiccup or his voice stalling, I wasn't sure at the time

you use "or" if you're notifying both things as an accumulation of something negative. you use "and" when you're accumulating two things positively - "and" is an "adding" word (look at how it's used in lists of things) even early mathematics used "and" instead of "add" for example - Papercut Shortened (No Second Verse or Second Chorus) - both things are being "minused" from a whole, in this context the "or" is a "taking away" word. Bleed It Out (with The Catalyst Refrain and Rob's Drum Solo) - because both things are being added to the whole. if you want t get really complicated, "Papercut (shortened: missing the first verse and first chorus)" would be correct, since the "and" here positively accumulates things that are missing, which is already a negative statement, which therefore makes the "and" acceptable to use in the context. WORD MATHS!

for all the jokes about BTH, this one is really nice to hear/have. it's interesting - it says something about their songwriting/lyrical processes for example, that the lyrics were originally more about two people than an individual: "I don't know what we're fighting for or why we have to scream" "I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream" I wonder who chose to re-write that

a side note about fan-voting, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Metallica end up playing a pretty regular setlist each night with a few rare/old additions here and there? if LP did this, we wouldn't suddenly get crazily "good" sets

premier inns and travelodges can be dirt cheap on Mondays since most of their clientele are weekenders, but London's a different kettle of fish entirely. if anything, try to be as far out from the city centre as possible, I'm aware that O2 arena being slap bang in the centre of london will make that difficult, but late tubes/overground services might help (try Transport For London's website) if you do need to do trains, book them in advance, even a couple of days ahead will save you a few quid
