  1. Just passing by. Wanted to say I'm a huge fan of your remixes. When it comes to LP and FM, I would say you're the best. By the way, I see the M.Shinoda shout out in your signature, that's awesome!

  2. I understand that their success is built on the STP name and they don't want to drop it and start over, but if this is actually a potential legal issue they might not have a choice.. Actually, the members of Creed found a new singer as well, and became Alter Bridge. I know there's a difference in that STP will still be playing the old songs at shows, but with the new album and touring cycle coming up, they could change the name and play mainly songs from the album with Chester. The older songs would just have to be considered covers. The only thing is their career has been long so I'm sure they have a lot of "staple" songs that they can't just drop from their sets. I don't know.. I think they need to either make the hard choice to change their band name, or decide to keep it (make Chester an offical member of STP...not STP with Chester) and deal with whatever Scott might do about it.
  3. That's how they're advertising their shows now? I haven't been following this story closely...Interstate Love Song is the only STP song I really like lol. I wonder though..maybe they'll do something to what Rage Against the Machine did when they got another vocalist and became Audioslave. STP (with Chester Bennington) doesn't sound right.
  4. Doing 2 songs from the 5 studio albums, my list (also not in order) would be: Papercut With You Lying From You Figure .09 Bleed it Out In Pieces When They Come For Me Wretches and Kings I'll Be Gone Until it Breaks
  5. Exactly, so the fact that he basically said 19 months was "a few months" doesn't surprise me lol
  6. I remember this every time something like that happens lol
  7. I know you're right...When they released LT I showed some friends and they were saying "but where are the words..." Then for the acapella "it sounds weird like this". I really liked it though lol! Same thing with the multitracks.
  8. I wish they would say they've decided to release their other 4 studio albums + Reanimation's instrumentals and acapellas like they did for LT... THAT would be something exciting.
  9. This should go in the show notes, this exact quote. LOL
  10. Or he could make Pez his best man
  11. I agree. My point was I don't see LP releasing a real hip-hop song, but Mike is good at hip-hop! Reanimation is probably one of my favorite LP albums so I would love to hear that as well.
  12. LGM sounds horrible live to me, I don't know why they even play it anymore. Yet they just keep doing it... and that's my point. You would think they realize they have problems pulling that off live, and say ok we're not gonna play this song anymore. But it's like they have their setlist and they will stand by it no matter what, which is what I don't get. I wonder if LP alone decides what songs to play and in what order and things like that. I remember reading somewhere that Joe said he wanted to play W&K, but that he didn't have control over those things. I guess he means he was out voted by the rest of the band maybe? Cause honestly I like W&K... If they drop LGM for it I would be happy.
  13. I see your point, and technically the same could be said for DBS. I think Mike literally said that once, that since LP decided they will do whatever they want, he doesn't need a release like before. Either Mike said it about FM or Chester about DBS I don't remember... but still I see what they mean. At the same time though, there's still a certain line that they won't cross. We'll never see a hip-hop song featuring John Legend on an LP album..or some of the types of beats Mike makes. He made "The Instrumental" for Lupe. Nothing like that has been on an LP record. I think Mike has potential to make another great hip-hop album free of rock influence, and I'm just curious to see how that sounds. There's always the possibility that Mike just doesn't want to though...which is something we would all have to respect.
  14. Well basically, I feel that they play the singles every show because they know that a lot of casual fans bought tickets to SEE songs like ITE, Numb, WID, etc. and they would feel cheated if the band dropped a single for a throwback like Step Up. I know a lot of us would love it (myself included...SU is one of my favorite songs from that era of the band), but for example, I guarantee some people were disappointed at the show where they dropped ITE in favor of APFMH. So the singles (because of the business logic of it) take up a good part of the set. Besides that, I think they have a huge comfort zone after years of playing certain songs. I think that (as a band) they aren't that anxious to try and venture outside of it by playing a song they haven't played in years. I honestly believe that putting RME on the BIO bridge was something they thought the hardcore fans would appreciate. It's not exactly them going back in time, but it's more like a nod to the community while still appealing to the casual fans that come out to the shows.
  15. That would make the 5th album really interesting to hear. 68 year old Mike
  16. ........you're right. Honestly, I wouldn't really mind if he came out and said that he's decided TRT was a one time deal. I wouldn't be particularly shocked either, I mean it's true that TRT was 8 years ago. I just really like the FM project in general, and Mike's more hip hop oriented production. Personally I like FM more than DBS or STP. I was just saying if Chester did decide he wants to finish the STP album and do a full touring cycle, that would mean downtime for LP members anyway. So if the opportunity presents itself, then I would hope he thinks about another FM record. If not, then so be it. When I said a break would be nice, I didn't mean "I hope Mike and Chester sit down and decide to put LP on hiatus in favor of Fort Minor". lol I just think that there's a strong possibility Chester will want to do a full touring cycle with STP, since it's a fairly huge name (bigger than DBS or FM for sure), which would clear up the guys' schedules.
  17. Yeah that's a good point... kind of like a hiatus for LP. I think no matter how many side projects there are, they'll always come back to LP eventually though. A break might be nice though and give the members time to explore other opportunities.
  18. Not always true. Example, I don't feel Wretches and Kings gave the right idea of how ATS would sound as a whole, and that was released before the album came out. I know the Catalyst was technically released before it, but still.
  19. Yeah, maybe something like "we have time for either Numb or BTH." In which case I would have chosen BTH as well.
  20. I agree with Skipees. Mike is 36. Nowhere near the end of his musical career, yet if he waits for LP to break up before working on a FM album, that might mean making a hip hop album in his mid 40's - early 50's. I really just don't think that an LP breakup will happen anytime in the near future. Maybe I'm crazy to think that way, I don't know. Then again it's entirely possible to do the album at that stage in his career. I mean the last FM record was produced by Jay-Z, who just released an album at 43 years old. It just seems less likely to me for some reason.
  21. I agree that they probably didn't say "pick any song you like". I would imagine them talking and saying to the fan that they were going to play Numb, but then asking if he would rather hear BTH. Maybe gave him a choice of a couple songs. I think they gave him a choice because they would want to avoid a "No, we're not playing that song, pick another" situation. lol
  22. Yeah I live in New Orleans and LP hasn't played a show here since I was 12 and I'm now in my 20's. If they played LTGYA and dedicated it to us that would be the most amazing thing ever.... Here's hoping they do come back one day!
  23. For the longest time I did not know what Chester was singing in the APFMH chorus. The part where he says "I wanna be in the energy not with the enemy, I need a place for my head." I had to literally see those lyrics written before I understood them lol. Also I wasn't aware that Reanimation even existed until after Collision Course came out!!! Seems crazy now, being the fan that I am
  24. Mike also joining STP would defeat the purpose of Chester using STP as a non-LP musical release. That's like if Chester sung the choruses for all the Fort Minor songs (if FM ever returns). STP would essentially become just an extension of Linkin Park.
