  1. I was 10 years old in 2001, on my way home from school when In the End came on the radio. My dad basically said "hey, listen to this song I think you might like it." I did listen, and I loved it. He bought me the ITE single a few days later, HT after that. LP has been my favorite band for the last 13 years now. It sounds crazy to say that, makes me feel really old. It's true though. So yeah.. my dad introduced me to LP and I'm forever grateful.

  2. EDM hahahhaa. Implying dance music haven't existed yet since the 70's. Another bullshit that I have seen is "USA now discovering electronic music". Where the techno came from? Detroit! Where the house came from? Chicago! So this EDM is a biggest bullshit in nowdays' music terms.

It's always existed, yeah. Speaking from personal experience though, I never heard much EDM on the radio until people like Skrillex came a long and brought it into the mainstream. Techno was big in the 70's... but it definitely went out of style. It's not like dance music has been huge in the mainstream for the last 40 years. LP took advantage of it being huge NOW, and incorporated it into ALTNC and did Recharged. It's not the worst thing in the world. People seem to take it as a personal act of betrayal when LP does something intentionally mainstream.

  3. First time hearing MTM it surprised me, but ATS is what shocked me. It was such a huge departure from anything I would have expected from them. I love that album, but yeah that's the time LP shocked me. Specifically The Catalyst when I first heard the album version.

  4. That lplive shout out made me so proud to have been a part of this site for so many years. Back in my days as LPPRJKT4 when I was still in high school I always felt so at home in this little community, thinking, damn, this is one of the coolest fan projects out there. And now it's getting mentioned on LPTV. Congrats guys, the entire staff earned that mention.

Together we made it, we made it even though we had our backs up against the wall.... LOL

Seriously though an LPL shout-out on LPTV is really awesome. It's cool to see that it meant a lot to Mike to read that and that Chester thought it was cool as well.

  5. Hey remember the 3 instrumental clips Mike made that were on LP.com in 2007? My files of them are from May 3, 2007.

    new lp.com clip 1: 2:03

    new lp.com clip 2: 1:53

    new lp.com clip 3: 1:32

I wonder if those demos had names or not. Clearly they're just pieces he made during the MTM sessions but I like them and it seems a lot of the fans are unaware of them even though they aren't extravagant. It's music though. If anyone wants them I can upload them. I wonder if we've ever heard a clip of any of them in anything else (like in Stagelight, LPTV, etc).

Anyway, at that time, those 3 reminded me of what Mike created that went between SOTD/WID. I'm sure that clip on the album was longer and came from a "batch" of these 4+ (probably more) instrumentals he made.

Please do! I had forgotten about those :D

  6. yep, no live tracks for XIII may have been confirmed, but that statement makes me nervous for XIV

"We know the fans miss our live DSPs, and we want them to be able to experience some of our favorite performances. So what better outlet than the LPU?" -Mike in a year. Lol

  7. I GOT IT ! The 3 New Things = 3 NEW ALBUMS ! :) I could dream.

But im going with maybe more Cam Chats, Live Studio Cams whne there working on music, and a whole bunch of extra cool merch that has been custom disigned by the band (Shirts/Shoes/Hats/Posters/etc). I really do this the Old Red Hybrid Theory skatebored. I had one but it broke a long time ago, wish i could find one agian lol

And all for the Simple Price of $19.99 :P

One of my favorite bands (at the time - this was in 2010) had live cameras set up in the studio every day on ustream for recording their last album. No sound though obviously. Something about that was really awesome to me. It got boring sometimes, and torturous when you see awesome things happening that you can't hear. During that though, they would sometimes all come in one room and un-mute the sound and do a video chat with fans. It was cool.

  8. I'm changing my opinion. I think we will have demos now. Last call, Skipees said. So this is my final choice. Lol.

Same here. lol. Personally I want to hear what the SIB intro sounded like originally, the part Chester played on guitar that Mike said was "too folky".

  9. I hosted the Chicago meetup & told the LPUers there news about LPUXIII.

LPUXIII has 3 themes which is what LPA tweeted about. I gave details about each of those themes...BIG details. It was LPA's decision not to give more info about it. It makes the fanbase go a little wild while making them wonder "what the fuck does that even mean."

I was told not to tell anyone else the details so I won't.

Feel free to ask anyone else who attended... Or just wait 1-24 hours depending on your timezone!

    >:)

It's going to be a very great year of LPU. I can already tell...

P.S. you guys are right about one of the things discussed above ... But there's more to it... (Muahahaha)

    MTM demos or gtfo.

    LMAO!!!!!! That's horrible.

Brace yourselves... It's something that I don't think anyone has done yet...

That sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing what it is.

  10. The drums completely turn me off from Primo. I literally couldn't enjoy it past the first chorus. That being said, I like the lyrics and vocal melody, and obviously it turned out great as IBG.

  11. I'll ask about Pictureboard. ^^

Asking about LPU13 is pretty much senseless, since we will know all about it in two weeks.

lol and if history is any indication Mike will say something like "There are some samples in Pictureboard. Can't release it due to legal issues, sorry."

Personally I would ask about if the band would ever do a full unplugged set, which somehow Linkin Park has never ever done besides a couple acoustic songs in 2001 mid-set.
