Julien-K Twitter confirms DBS live in Europe/Asia
immortalsoul replied to [AndOne]'s topic in Julien-K
What I honestly don't really get is why they are flying in all the guys of Julien-K if they only play like 3-5 songs with Chester every night. Isn't this way too expensive and complicated considering that short amount of on-stage time? Therefore I kinda refuse to believe that there won't be any more than that. Maybe Julien-K will be the surprise openers of these shows, and they just won't announce it?? Or DBS will actually be opening the shows and not be squeezed into the LP set? Or maybe DBS are doing some press showcases, interviews, or secret headliner shows (that they can't announce yet) in between the LP dates? All of this would actually make a lot more sense to me than just the fact that the guys are just flying over to have their 20 minutes of stage time with Chester *lol* Or maybe only Ryan and Amir are joining the tour trek, and Chester is doing acoustic sets with them, just this time backed up by LP on drums, bass, and keys? I guess we need to have some more patience to find out all these things *laughs* -
It would be awesome if both a DBS and a Julien-K video would be filmed at that day!

Julien-K Twitter confirms DBS live in Europe/Asia
immortalsoul replied to [AndOne]'s topic in Julien-K
Haha, the latest update by Amir was actually an reply to me (Lisa Young In) Can't fucking wait for Stuttgart now. This is gonna be epic!!! I would have loved to see Julien-K as well (maybe at several club shows or stuff) but this is already a lot more than I expected so yeah, I still can't believe it and I'm sure it will be like the best show ever!! The only thing that sucks is that I'm still walking around with a complicated fracture in my arm which won't be okay until the show, I guess, so I'm a bit worried about the crowd there (--> seats are already sold out)... But it's Linkin Park and Dead By Sunrise, so yeah, there's NO WAY I'm gonna miss out on this!!! :D -

Dead By Sunrise - Post-Show 7/4/2009 LV
immortalsoul replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Oh my God, that short Walking In Circles clip is just AWESOME!!! I LOVE how Chester and Ryan are singing together - their voices match perfect if you ask me!!! Chester is more the one for the higher notes while Ryan backs him up with his deep voice. This is just excellent - would love to see a full clip and of course even more videos! -
Dead By Sunrise - First Show Of 2009
immortalsoul replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
I also hope someone is gonna record that show and share it with us. Can't wait to hear the songs! -
So am I right that they MIGHT be coming to Europe with Linkin Park (whether it be w/ Julien-K or DBS) in summer but it still isn't officially confirmed by the band yet? Hahninator, you said they avoided answering these questions - was it really like that? I'm not in the LPU so I missed the chat, and when I personally asked them they also couldn't confirm it to me and just said that they would surely love to come over and hope it will work out at some point. I also know Chester twittered about it but maybe it just isn't confirmed at this point. It would be really important for me to finally know if anything's been confirmed since I manage the JULIEN-K GERMANY site.

I really like Coheed And Cambria, so I will finally get my tix for Stuttgart now, I think I don't really care about Funeral For A Friend, though. They have some songs that are quite cool but to me they aren't that special. The addition of Julien-K (including some DBS songs) to that line-up would actually be the tip of the iceberg for me but everyone who knows me knows how much I love Julien-K *laughs* So yeah... By the way, I would have also loved to see LP touring with Muse since they are one of the best live bands ever, and especially Chester loves them as well!
-
Julien-K even posted an official blog that the LP Live interview is up. Isn't that nice of them? I'm sure it will get LP Live a lot more clicks and popularity!!
-
Wow, that was a really great and informative interview! First of all thank you very much for including my question - I'm sure this gives us European fans some great hope, and we will definitely make sure to make their time here in Europe an amazing experience when they are finally coming over, be it with Julien-K or Dead By Sunrise It's also cool to know that Everyone Knows, their first song that they ever completed, might be revisited for a future release. This is a question that so many people in the Julien-K board came up with, and now it's finally answered You picked some really great questions, that's for sure. You guys did a great job, so thank you very much! ... and of course Ryan was being as cool as usual He's really the man, and I totally agree with his famous last words *laughs*

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This show is indeed special to me because it was my first Linkin Park show ever, and it was just incredible to see them live for the first time at that night I'm sure listening to the files will bring back a lot of great memories! Now we would only need the pro-shot videos I hope they will be released at some point, or maybe the full show will be broadcasted on German TV - you never know. Just some days ago (or maybe in some days, I don't know if it's been shown yet) they premiered the full Rock am Ring 2007 performances of Killswitch Engage and Machine Head on German TV, so I hope there will be more to come
-
I would say it's heavy industrial metal with EBM influences And I'm still hoping that Julien-K will also come to Europe this summer. Good to know that the Combichrist tour will be at the end of June/beginning of July, so this means there is still the possibility that Julien-K might be the opener for the European LP shows

Julien-K have added some more dates besides the Scottsdale one. So the full schedule is as follows: May 10th: Wasted Space @ Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas (NV) - w/ Shiny Toy Guns May 11th: Martini Ranch, Scottsdale (AZ) - w/ The Attitude, Bella Lune, and Tatem May 14th: The Velvet Jones, Santa Barbara (CA) May 15th: Jerry's Pizza, Bakersfield (CA) - w/ Aiden Source: This screenshot and you can already buy tickets for the Bakersfield show HERE. And here are three new pictures of the guys to everyone who is interested:

Chester Bennington DEFINITELY got on stage with the guys from Julien-K tonight. I just read it in some people's Twitter feeds but there aren't any details about it yet. But soon there will be more information
-
Nice to know! I actually wondered what happened to the interview so it's good to see that it will be up soon And I hope they will also come to Europe soon - no matter if it's with Combichrist or Shiny Toy Guns or Dead By Sunrise, the main thing would be that they are finally coming *lol*
-
Did anyone happen to record that live chat? Would be awesome if that was the case!!
-
How about this?
-
Linkin Park goes Julien-K??? *hahaha* That's like the first thought that crossed my mind after hearing about this. It sounds good, that's for sure. Let's wait and see what will come out of it - if at all.

New Julien-K Show At The Roxy, Los Angeles 4/8/09!
immortalsoul replied to LPxDC's topic in Julien-K
Hmm, to me it sounded like the DTA version but we don't know any other versions of Futura yet so I can't say for sure. Another mix of the song (made by Franz + Shape) is supposed to be out soon, though. And @HybridThe0ry97: Do you have possibilities to record the show? Would be awesome! -
New Julien-K Show At The Roxy, Los Angeles 4/8/09!
immortalsoul replied to LPxDC's topic in Julien-K
Hmm, I was kinda sure that he referred to Chester when I posted the above post but now I think the special guest could also be Jay Gordon because he has performed with the band before as well. Chester would actually be more likely, though, because he himself helped produce the CD and was really involved in the process. We'll see what happens but I surely hope the show gets recorded or even filmed in some way! -
New Julien-K Show At The Roxy, Los Angeles 4/8/09!
immortalsoul replied to LPxDC's topic in Julien-K
So Ryan has hinted in the official Julien-K message board that there will indeed be a guest performance... And to me it's kinda obvious that he means Chester by that. This is what he wrote: we ARE playing this show - no tour plans yet. this will be our record release show for our fans. it will be cool. we will have a special guest perform with us (someone who has performed with us before, but this time in a new way, doing some different parts). will also be playing some songs that haven't been played with much frequency - and one that has never been played live. it will be fun.. RS If any of you goes to the show, please note that they will also sell AND SIGN the vinyl of Death To Analog that is released at the same day And recordings of the show would be decent, by the way For more information on Julien-K and where to get their new album Death To Analog, please click this banner:
