  1. Yeah, I certainly won't hold my breath waiting for them. As soon as I get the Mac, this will be my first project Hoping in the interim that I can source some alternate angles/fill-in footage for any of the short sections I missed.
  2. Thanks for adding to the home page guys, and thanks for the credit. No probs man. As for the HD version... it's coming I'm waiting until I get my MacBook Air before doing a proper edit of the show so that I can upload it in a good format without much quality loss from the source files. It'll likely end up being in either 1080p or 720p and potentially in high-frame rate too (since it was recorded at 50fps). I was also hoping we'd see the DSP released between now and then so I can add that as a second audio option. Next on the list will be the Melbourne side show and ending with the Sydney Soundwave show. Glad you enjoyed dude. And glad the torrent has now gone past 2.0 in availability!
  3. I may be able to add more locations in future, but for the time being it will have to be kat only unfortunately. It seems to be working okay for everyone else though? If you get the torrent file error message, download the magnet link that it gives you. That seemed to work for anyone who was having trouble getting the torrent file.
  4. There were two specials - one featuring just interviews (and the occasional live clip), as well as a second one that supposedly showed performances. I caught the interview special while on one of the flights but never got to see the other one.
  5. Awesome! http://kat.ph/linkin-park-live-in-sydney-4...v-t7206931.html Though everyone, please be warned... it seems to be going VERY slow for some reason. Not sure why as my torrent speed is usually fairly good. As for the Channel V highlights... my mate recorded it and is going to supply me with a disc. I haven't actually seen it yet so not sure if it has any of Linkin Park's set on it. I'll try follow it up today and see if he can get it to me this week some time.
  6. Sydney show torrent is now online. I don't know if I'm allowed to say where though? Can anyone confirm/deny?
  7. Thank you It was a tough shoot... some drunk bimbos and their DB boyfriends in front of me kept getting in the way, arguing with each other (which you can hear during the Ballad Medley), taking photos of each other (which I had to film towards the end because of how ridiculous they were being) and generally spoiling the gig. Interesting to note that Mark Fiore came out to greet them before the show... The DVD quality WMV file is much, much better than this YouTube upload. But will hopefully start seeding that tonight so you guys can see for yourselves
  8. Bahahaha! I lost it when I was watching this again last night and that bit came on. First Hayleigh screaming at the camera like a psycho, then Pez putting on the gun show. Pure gold. Oooh. And my 400th post happened to be that video. Talk about quality! Haha
  9. Hey guys, video is up on YouTube for the time being until I get the torrent sorted out. Quite annoying, but YouTube down-rezzed the video, so it's no longer DVD resolution as intended. However, quality is still fairly decent. This will obviously be rectified when you download the torrent file I've kept the video unlisted for the time being, since I feel that you guys deserve to see this first before all the masses Thumbnail doesn't seem to show up for me. Link is
  10. Heads up! I finished combining all of the videos into one unit yesterday afternoon and am currently uploading the finished product to YouTube as we speak. I wanted to get it onto YouTube first before torrenting it since, as soon as it hits torrents, it will be on YouTube and likely without any credit to myself - so just heading off the thieves before it happens Watched the whole show yesterday and it was actually a much better recording than I thought. Sound is pretty clear but would obviously be improved if a DSP finally gets released. In terms of cuts, I didn't spot any cuts to songs... just gaps in between and maybe a bit of talking. Though I did manage to capture the segment that Pez just posted above me. The whole wmv file was about 3.5GB, so it is taking some sweet time to upload. It should be done within the next 5 hours though. I have the video as 'unlisted' so you won't be able to search for it just yet. I wanted to keep it this way for a few days so that I could offer you guys the opportunity to see it first before it's open to public.
  11. Haha thanks mate. I'm doing a test run at the moment with one of the 2010 Silverchair shows I recorded. What does everyone prefer... crossfades between where the videos change or leave everything in there intact, as is? Since I'll be doing these again properly once I get my MacBook Air (with better video software), I'm tempted to just leave everything in its place as is. That way, if there are any gaps, you guys will be able to spot them and it will help us to find suitable alternate footage to drop in to fill the gaps when I do the re-release in a month or so's time.
  12. Thank you I'll go through my videos and get some screen grabs for you. That was really the only pic I took like that... the rest was purely video
  13. Oh absolutely dude. I was going to make sure I preface each release with info. on whether any content was missed as a result of battery exchanges, etc. I'll just get that info. early for you tonight. The 3 shows I recorded in full were: Sydney Soundwave Sydney Sidewave Melbourne Sidewave
  14. Same dude, LOVE that song and LOVE it live. I guess people just weren't as into it because they weren't familiar with it. It barely made a splash on radio/TV airplay here Edited to say that having TWO unfamiliar songs to the general public did put the set at risk of losing some of the audience. It was actually during this point of the set that most people who thought they were then going to get a good spot in front of the Metallica stage started shifting (fools - the D barrier was typically locked off by that point at most of the shows).
  15. In other news, I hope to start working on the first of those three shows this afternoon/weekend. They need to be spliced together as my new camera only allows for 30 minute videos and there was a battery change in each session as well (one that resulted in a loss of some of The Catalyst unfortunately).
  16. Thought you guys might like to see this panoramic shot I took at the Sydney Soundwave: Love the 'ARENA FULL PLEASE MOVE TO SEATS' message on the screens. Was literally amazing to see.
  17. Given that I was attending 7 shows and was taping the ones I was seated at (plus using a tripod for the majority of each recording), it was something that I was willing to do. I didn't spend the entire time looking through a camera screen and I thoroughly enjoyed myself at each show. Does that make me a fool? And as others have said, if everyone adopted that attitude, we wouldn't have any videos other than those that have been pro-shot. Plus, how frequently do the YouTubers record the entire performance? On a good camera too?
  18. I'm hoping this is just a case of 'lost in translation' but I find it pretty offensive to say that someone who tapes a show is a 'fool'. I made a pretty reasonable sacrifice to my concert experience by taping 3 of the 7 Australian shows so that I could share them with people like you.
  19. May be in a minority here, but I've actually really enjoyed LGM on the Australian tour. Which is funny, because I usually skip over the track whenever I'm listening to a DSP. I'm pretty sure Pez (and our other touring buddies) were in agreement on this too.
  20. Count me as one who is disappointed there won't be a Blu-ray release. I have the 1080 rip of the TV broadcast and it looks spectacular. Going to be hard going from that to the DVD quality one - but I'd prefer to have a closer to full set than the severely shortened one that was TV broadcast.
  21. The Catalyst just wouldn't have worked for the Aussie festival crowd. Those of you who live here can probably attest to this as well. The song just isn't very well known here and to play one like that which lasts for 6 minutes, you run a severe risk of completely derailing the show (crowd response-wise). Songs like COG and LITE they can get away with since they're so short. Having said that, placing COG and LITE together in the set almost had the exact same effect. Anyone who was at these shows would probably agree that this was the point where the crowd died off most. Luckily, things picked up tenfold once the big singles started coming in after that point.
  22. Missy is the lovely lady in the purple shirt. She normally runs the Music For Relief stuff at each of the shows but on this tour was helping out with press/media and running the meet and greets. She was so extremely helpful and very well trained in her job. Don't think I've ever met a lovelier person involved with the LP camp. I'm about to start looking into whom/where I can send a big thank you email directed to her for all her hospitality over the Australian tour with me and my friends on the multiple meet and greets we attended.
  23. I don't even know how you got net reception at the Soundwave shows hey! You with Optus? That would probably explain it - Bianca was getting reception all day at Perth.
  24. Hehe, I love how many people doubted the authenticity of the Harlem Shake bridge until that video surfaced... What? Wasn't mine and Pez's word enough proof? Sheesh! ;P
