  1. I bit the bullet and ordered the deluxe box set and two copies of the vinyl (I'll pick up the CD via local release). Pricey yes, but I've spent far more following this band around the country and I'd be kicking myself if I missed out. If the price drops, I'll likely grab a second so I can keep one sealed and open the other. I've seen deluxe editions of albums go for significantly more than this. Thirty Seconds To Mars' Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams had a $1000 version available - it included a personal thank you call from the band (and so it should at that price!).
  2. Love the track. Have been pumping it all weekend. Though I played it at work today and one of the girls abruptly asked me to change it - said it was "doing her head in." Having said that, the people I work with have very "indie" tastes (in my opinion, frequently boring/whiny/depressing). Friends/family who have heard me play it have all enjoyed it so far. This one definitely has the potential to be a bit of a hit (if promoted properly).
  3. He'll be right. The band worked wonders on the Soundwave crowds earlier this year. I can honestly say, judging from the response of the crowds at all five Soundwave shows, LP gave their reputation a massive boost in Australia from that tour. I think many will be eager to see Chester perform again. Plenty of people were commenting on how well the guy performs live and the sheer energy he had throughout each performance. Heard nothing but rave reviews at each show and can attest to how good they were. Half tempted to do another mini tour for Soundwave next year but I've already got Thirty Seconds To Mars booked in so doubt I'll be able to get the extra leave
  4. I can't seriously be one of two, maybe three people that can hear Chester's unaltered vocals more loudly above the vocal effects?
  5. I must say, when all is said and done for this tour, POWERLESS was the most surprisingly, criminally underused song on the album. There was a time when this would have been considered a front-runner for one of the album's singles. Yet, no official music video (I'm choosing to exclude the Abraham Lincoln abbreviated promo trailer), no official release (though there was that one track digital release in Japan) and no live performance. Really disappointing to me as it is my favourite track from LIVING THINGS.
  6. Glad to hear other people are thinking along these lines. Would be great to arrange a single 24-hour period when everyone (who can) jumps on and purchases a particular DSP. One that isn't currently in the top 5 would be ideal. Likely to do absolutely nothing, but maybe someone at WB will sit up and notice something.
  7. I agree with Mark. If bands can add the option to purchase either a physical or download copy of their latest album with a concert ticket purchase (most recent example being Thirty Seconds To Mars' Australian shows), then why can't they add an option to sell the DSP via that method? Most people I know would shell out an extra $10 knowing that they can have that show in a professionally mixed capacity for eternity... if they knew it existed! I'm fuming we don't have DSPs of the Australian shows from earlier this year. I've been to 18 LP shows now and have purchased the DSPs for all of them, with the exception of those recent 7 that are not available online. The fact that they were recorded but not yet released bugs me to no end!
  8. This is actually hilarious. The wrong number thing a definite highlight!
  9. Did anyone else sigh when he said he's going to be in front of the camera for the rest of the night? Haha
  10. LOL. This thread is very quickly going to become flooded with 7/8 people posting the same song names throughout the set Good to have the stream to hear the setlist. Sucks that it's not closer but I'll take what I can get
  11. No probs dude I still have the Sydney Soundwave show outstanding. There's been a number of... issues... I've had to deal with recently, hence the delay. But it should be online ASAP. Then I'll need to get the Melbourne show up via torrents also.
  12. Amen. I gave up after the first few (couldn't take another BID remix), but surely it's borderline illegal what ended up happening with that?
  13. Haha, my mates and I made a few appearances throughout that video - but going to 7 shows and 6 meet and greets will do that! And could the DSPs (which we've been hearing snippets of throughout these videos) finally be released please!?!
  14. Awesome. Our local record store got a few copies in yesterday, except we are on the other side of the country and they've all gone.
  15. Love those... straight to the point responses you got... :S FYI, the upload I supplied was the MP4 ripped from YouTube, so is as good quality as we'll likely ever see. I'm really spewing that they didn't include the 3D video on the Dark Of The Moon Blu-ray 3D disc. The YouTube upload didn't have a very high bitrate, so got mad pixelated as soon as there were any high levels of movement (see that shot near the end where the camera is going through the eyeball). It's also disappointing they didn't include the 3D version on that Dolby sampler disc that did the rounds that featured the music video with 7.1 surround sound.
  16. Ha! Nice work. LOVE the shots taken from behind the band where you can see out into the crowd and everyone is jumping all over the place... AWESOME!
  17. Haha - the second it got to that elevator scene I was thinking 'oh god, here we go'. Kinda disappointed now that it cut away haha. But I did see you. Downloading the HD version now so I can try spot myself near you. See, the red shirt came in handy after all
  18. Thanks mate, glad you appreciate them In my opinion, of the two released so far, the quality of recording is better on the Sydney Sidewave show. Having said that, the Melbourne show has the very awesome appearance of A Place For My Head in the encore. The third and final show is going to be quite exciting for you guys however, so it may be worth waiting to see that one first - for 10 of the 18 songs (second half of the set), I shifted the camera away from the stage and pointed it at the big screen. So you get what is likely to be the closest thing to a professional recording of these Australian shows - multiple angles, etc. Sound is a bit f**ked on that release, since it was extremely echoey in the stadium, but it's still a good watch.
  19. There will be three versions 1) YouTube - hopefully to stave off any that would upload the video on their own channel and for those that don't want to commit to a multi-gigabyte download of the show. 2) Torrent in standard definition - as a make-do until the high-def files are done and for those wanting to get the version that was used for the YouTube upload. 3) The eventual HD torrent release - as you've said, I don't want to be uploading multiple versions of this, so I'm holding off until I get the new computer/software to give the releases some justice.
  20. I'm not so keen on uploading raw files for a number of reasons... a) because the raw files for each show are roughly 20 gigabytes each and my net isn't fantastic speed-wise. B ) because of the rate at which stuff like this is stolen then passed off as somebody else's work (and in some cases, even sold as a bootleg). I will get HD files up, but they will take some time. You'll be happy to know that when I torrent this show, the resolution is set at 960x540 - so a fair improvement from last time
  21. Hi guys, My recording of the Melbourne Sidewave show is now online at YouTube (and in a better resolution compared to the Sydney one). You can see the video here: Intention was to also get the Sydney Soundwave show up this weekend, but this Melbourne one took 4/5 encodes to get right. For some reason, it kept making CASTLE OF GLASS a still picture, rather than the video you see here. I've also whacked on some bonus footage at the end Enjoy! PS. For those asking about the HD files. I'm holding off on releasing those until I buy my MacBook Air to do proper editing on it. I'd love to say I'll go out and buy it this week, but with another band tour coming up (Coheed & Cambria), I've got other expenses to handle
  22. I was actually thinking of putting it there first. I might give that a go now since kat seems to be a little touch-and-go in terms of connectivity. I'm currently busy working on the Melbourne show however, and will want to seed that next, so someone else may need to get this one onto lp-bits. I'm hoping to have Melbourne commence uploading tonight (first to YouTube, then to torrents as per last release).
  23. Exactly right The Melbourne side show is missing a bit of The Catalyst I believe - the battery randomly went from 2 bars to flashing red in the span of minutes so I completely missed changing the battery between songs. I may have also missed a segment of talking from the band at the Sydney side show too - but can't remember for sure and what/when they said it if they did.
