Here's my view if linkin park could make such a simple yet meaningful and epic song as Not Alone in a matter of 2-3 days...just imagine what kind of music they have made for the new album with the amount of time they have had? I love this new song, it perfectly fits the album for download to donate and Haiti...trust me there is other stuff on there that didn't even make sense of being a part of the album for download to donate ::cough:: all American rejects. Just be happy you at least got a new song, and that lp was willing enough to make a song for the cause, where many other bands haven't...especially rock bands...lp is probably the only known one to release an unreleased song...yeah I can't think of any other bands except U2.

Wow great news...now I'm beginning to think that this new album won't take too long from what we were predecting...now I think the new album has a real good chance to come out in the summer depending on how long mixing takes, but I would bet June is a very reasonable date for the album's release. And yeah for those of you who think Chester isn't contributing enough in this record because of his side project dead by sunrise. I think mike made it clear by saying he, Chester, and also brad have been working on new songs together and according to mike they are brand new gems. That's good but I wonder how much of that can you really take into context? Anyways it seems the band is working very productively and hopefully on monday they pick a good group of new songs to work on. Although what I'm wondering is when do we normally find out an album title? When should we be expecting the release of the albums name? Like on meteora and minutes to midnight when did we find out what the name if the album was gonna be? Thanks

I think thats a good point...why should a 2-time grammy award winnig band like linkin park have to resort to an amateur program like audacity as their last resort...Pro Tools owes Mike big time, I agree.
