Pay the guy for what he played on and move on. Warner isn’t hurting for cash enough to not toss what is realistically gonna be a relatively small payment. What numbers did HT20 and some LPU releases hit? Surely nothing staggering in terms of LP’s back catalog of core releases.

I don’t see this being a huge trial or some massive pay off like some people are expecting.

if Warner pays this guy for nothing, surely this guy will keep coming back for more or another twist. big companies like Warner wont easily lose to some random guy who claims money after 2 decades. totally disagree with paying Kyle.

Between Kyle claiming he played bass on some songs that literally don't even have live bass, LP labeling their demos with the wrong years, and Mike not being able to clearly remember any of this to begin with, there's a good chance they give Kyle a settlement and it doesn't go to court. It's too messy.

i rather the band not giving anything to him. why after 20 fkin years, he started to claiming all of the those royalties? surely he's desperate enough to make this bold move. Scott Koziol > Kyle

Anybody who has a problem with Shinoda has a problem with me. Mike and Chester were the Gods of my life. People shouldn’t be coming at Mike like he did something wrong. Like who gives a fuck about bass players that no one even knows about. He played some bass on some shit before they even had a debut album. Everything before a band’s debut album is bullshit. Everyone knows. This dude is just a crybaby who wants money. Mike should know that the only people who had his back were SOB. And Brad and shit. All these other people, workers for Warner, they’re all shit.

while i agree bout Kyle but pre-LP is a historical moment for LP itself. im sure he want those money now because of something. maybe he got something to pay or shit. but to say pre-LP stuff is shit, totally disagree with that Geki.

Coming from me Geki on this.

IMO, the Hybrid Theory box set was a mess. Meteora was done much better.

Honestly, nothing from Xero or Hybrid Theory should have been included. They aren’t the same band as Linkin Park. Linkin Park’s first official release was what, the One Step Closer single? Or the album?  All of the bonus tracks should have just been the stuff from the singles of the era and all that, as well as the PR02 tracks that ended up on Meteora. I don’t even understand why people care about Xero or Hybrid Theory shit. It’s all garbage. Linkin Park is Linkin Park, that’s when they officially became Linkin Park and started releasing stuff. We don’t need demos from before they were Linkin Park because what’s the point? Not even the same band. And fans never understood this.  Xero and Hybrid Theory are not the same band as Linkin Park.

Linkin Park is the 6 guys we all knew. That released One Step Closer as a single and then the album and took the world by storm.

I just think they could have done the Hybrid Theory set much better. The demos we got were very strange. Should have been Linkin Park demos from 2000 if anything, like those songs Jeff Blue mentioned. But instead we got very weird tracks like Dialate and Could Have Been, and Esaul with Mark. All that weird shit that nobody even likes. At least I don’t. Anything Linkin Park that doesn’t have Chester does not interest me at all.

At the end of the day this will probably be a big thing. Just Kyle wanting money, probably a scumbag. But LP shouldn’t have been so sloppy with the HT set. The Meteora set was much better.

you must be delulu when typing this. without XERO or Hybrid Theory, LP wouldnt exists. that's why those demos included in the boxset/Forgotten Demos. Demos from those eras really shows how LP begin to start. "All that weird shit that nobody even likes", it's just you Geki. you're worshiping MTM so hard till you lost the interests. that sucks man.

This ep makes me think that Shinoda doesn't know what to do w his career.

it's funny you think that way because Mike clearly KNOW what to do with his career. if he just a plain boring person, he would've stopped promoting the track once it officially releases a month ago. this EP clearly shows his creativity beyond what you expected. Same song can be expanded into various version. your negative perception of Mike stuff makes you think this releases is a shit.

I ordered all the vinyls and merch but I don’t understand why Mike is doing it right now in 2023. 2023 is supposed to be Meteora’s year. 2025 would have made more sense for...

im sure Mike planned something with these re-release stuff. with "Already Over" releases, people starts to digging Mike stuff and the "Evolution EP" features Mike stuff from LP & FM days. to catch new fans/mass audience, WB decided to reissues FM's TRT. this is the best time to do it so. for 20th anniversary, im sure Mike already planned something for it. we're getting proper releases like boxset maybe.

As far as JZLP saying Be Somebody sucks, how? I love it. Love all the original Fort Minor shit so much. Definitely some of Mike’s best stuff of his entire career. Be Somebody is a song about being told you will never amount to anything and then proving them wrong. And it has a Lupe feature which is dope. I guess it’s fine you don’t like the song but yeah. I love that The Hard Way is on here too, always been a great track.

dont bother JZLP, he's not really loves of Mike stuff, unlike GD. anyway, "Be Somebody" is a great track but wasnt good enough to be part of TRT main album/tracklist. being a B-Sides and featured on the mixtape, that's cool enough!

  7. Today is officially a day where all of the critters you breed can fight against CPU critters. If you win the match, you will get "3 XP" and if you lose, "1 XP" will be deducted. AO = new music that brings nothing new to the table and it's basically a copy paste of the trendy sound of pop punk fake revival.

without Chester, everything Mike did is sucks to you right? you should stick to Grey Daze man. "new" album coming soon right? haha.

if Chester still with us, surely gonna hype up this song and supporting Mike while you, as a fan, keep complaining bout it. if this is Linkin Park track with Chester singing it, surely you gonna said this is fkin holy grail. poor man.

My tolerance is just a tad bit lower for this kind of stuff when the band in question are millionaires. But shitposters gonna shitpost.

that's how label making money. if they put everything out at once, how they gonna making more money? 🤑 the band cant say "no", so it's up to you whether you want to buy it or not, the label still wins. business.

A band with 2 graphic artists, who work alongside some amazing physical/digital media creators/artists, and THIS is the sort of shit we get on shirts

you will be surprise, there's a big demand for a t-shirt with album/single cover like this. not just Mike, any other artists do the same stuff. so, it might not suit your taste but it suits others well.

Based on the single cover art, the font is similar to "IN MY HEAD". is it possible if the track and "ALREADY OVER" is in the same universe (read as: album)?

we all know the promo poster for "IN MY HEAD" does stated "A NEW ERA OF MIKE SHINODA MUSIC"..

That’s the only one I remastered but I shared it in the share box some time ago, so it got lost to the hype haha.

I may remaster a few and then plan to drop the links for anyone to use. I’ve got another master I did of Cigarettes but can’t decide which is better!

thank youuu dude! hope you can remaster the whole show one day. the one you shared above, damn the sound is so crystal clear. 😭🤘🎉

Thank you ❤️ I recorded the full show on video, but this was a remaster I did using mine and other peoples recording and extracting the best possible ‘stems’, adding reverb/echo/bass where necessary, splitting the channels for better stereo feels, etc.

you remastered it? dude, that's amazing! the sound quality almost like official SBD. do you plan to share it in here one day?

I think this is great. People need to understand that even if LP does come back someday it won’t be the LP we once knew either way, that era is over sadly. But we luckily still have Mike doing his thing and I think if LP ever does come back they will do it as a 5 piece and Mike will be very seasoned to handle that role. And if they don’t want to come back someday that is also ok, why should it be up to anyone but them? Lots of emotions and stuff involved too.

some people think, the band, owe the fans. which is kinda dumb. also, maybe Mike's new solo stuff is for him to warm-up or prep for LP next album? we dont know but there's a possiblities. so that when LP new materials comes up, fans doesnt shock when Mike fronting the band, lead the vocals. expecting "clever" comments like "Mike sucks!", "LP is dead when Chester gone", "sorry mike, chester's better" and etc.
