  1. how about, you know instead of playing music that we've already heard such as Figure.09/P5hng they play, you know, new music from the album they just released 6 months ago and have only played half of?
  2. I'm willing to bet most people only know Linkin Park for Chester. The average person isn't gonna say "wow is that the guitarist/rapper/keyboardist/bassist/drummer from Linkin Park?" if they saw another member on TV or on the street. Chester is the face of the band whether he has much technical input in the writing of the music or not. For that reason alone he is the most important member of the band.
  3. 01. No More Sorrow (Long Intro) 02. Blackout 03. Lost in the Echo 04. A Place for My Head 05. Faint (07' Outro)
  4. LP normally gets a full set at KROQ. Since they're headlining I wouldn't expect anything different. And is it just me, or would the bridge to In My Remains sound epic with a choir singing with Mike? I bring it up since it's happened before at KROQ with Hands Held High
  5. I honestly think Chester's the best he's been since 2007. I'd almost say since 2006 but those screams on the end of Faint through out 2007 are still unrivalled in my opinion.
  6. Auburn 2007 easily... Chester just sounds demonic.
  7. I was decently impressed with the album this year. I love MTM material whether it's full vocals or not, although Homecoming would have been BRILLIANT with some vocals from Chester, and Debris is just begging to be finished. The biggest highlight for me though is easily So Far Away. Mike is singing like a boss in 1998? It's unheard of! And that guitar riff is sick! It sounds a lot faster than most things the band does. Asbestos also surprised me. Listening to the unfinished chorus section though, I definitely feel like Victimized vocals could fit in perfectly right there, just to had a little more complete vibe to it. POA's screaming section in the bridge was also pretty intense. Everyone is saying it's an already released version but that part really surprised so maybe I haven't heard that demo yet.
  8. I completely agree! Both Victimized/QWERTY and Lost In The Echo to me have become staples to the setlist much like APFMH, Papercut, Bleed It Out, One Step Closer, and Faint have been for years. Those two songs are my favourite part of the DSP usually. And In My Remains has just such a massive stadium presence. Burn It Down could definitely use something fresh though and LGM is quite a disappointment live like you said.
  9. Wait what? The Catalyst is the furthest song possible from being the "same". It's definitely the most "special & different" single they've ever released. Anyways I voted for Powerless, but I'm sure it'll be either that or In My Remains. Roads Untraveled would be glorious but highly unlikely.
  10. I think the ultimate tribute to the Meteora days would be Figure.09 with the extended outro/transition into From The Inside just like 2004.
  11. That was a MONSTROUS APFMH!!! Chester was kicking major amounts of ass there! And I LOVE how into it the band gets with Lost In The Echo. You can tell they love the song.
  12. Just throw all of Living Things onto a single setlist. THAT would make my day.
  13. I would rather new LP over anything DBS or FM. They both feel like awkward half pieces of the full pie that is Linkin Park.
  14. I'm hoping for the 2013 version with the 15 minutes of stand-up comedy. But in all seriousness, I still love the Sabotage bridge, it remains one of the highlights of the show to me, but I realize that it's a little past the moment now to be a tribute. I think they should add in APFMH back again but ONLY in sets where APFMH isn't already played in full. Other than that, bring on NRL again or even Across the Line!!
  15. I especially found it funny how in Faint Chester was much more subdued during the outro. In fact he didn't scream at all, which I figured was intentional for the pop audience. And then during One Step Closer's outro he just goes insane like usual lol.
  16. Can I just say that Linkin Park came out and performed like fucking LEGENDS? That performance was pretty near flawless. I especially loved seeing the twitter responses from people who've never really listened to the band and are now hooked.
  17. Absolutely LOVING this performance. Chester is on fire tonight! The medley-action is perfect for a 30 min set like this.
  18. They're gonna play a 30 minute Bleed It Out extravaganza!! Featuring RME/APFMH/BITS/NRL/Pictureboard/15 minutes of stand up comedy/Faint/Sabotage/OSC You heard it here first!
  19. Don't say that within 10,000 miles of LPA... Those words are blasphemous over there. They'll burn you on a stake. I would never say ATS is LP's worst album, in fact it may very well be my favourite, but it's certainly not "music's gift from God" like everyone over there claims. And on topic, the Victimized speech fits perfectly with the mood and atmosphere of the song. It's not long enough to drag the rest of the song down (coughWretchesAndKingscough)
  20. I totally agree! That moment was absolutely priceless! And the part that makes it so hilarious is that I can actually imagine someone doing that and the transition would work seamlessly!!
  21. Only problem with that mashup is that while Given Up is played in Drop D Tuning, Faint is played in Db. Unless you'd want a long pause in between while Brad and Mike grab different guitars this wouldn't work out so well.
  22. Agreeeeeeeed!! The more songs they can fit into a set, the better! The most brilliant thing the band has ever done with ballads is mash them together in one 5 minute piece! Although of course certain songs need to be played in full to be properly enjoyed.
  23. I totally agree! Lost In The Echo is easily one of their new live staples. The band just feels completely in-sync and performs at their best every time I've seen the song played. It's easily Chester's best screaming song in years!
  24. I always thought WTCFM would be awesome with an intro consisting of the opening to Points Of Authority with Mike's lyrics and all, and then the song distorts and glitches out ATS style into the opening of When They Come For Me. It would really drive home the "I'm not the same person telling you to forfeit the game" part. Another idea I've had for the longest time is a "riot bridge" during No More Sorrow. At the end of the second chorus, Chester screams into the bridge as usual, and then all goes quiet and the lights dim. Mike tells the audience to chant "Thieves and Hypocrites" loud enough for the band to continue, then Chester returns for one last triumphant "Thieves and Hypocrites" before the song returns to the final chorus. It gives me chills and would really add a fresh element to a song several people claim has become stale.
