  1. I'm cringing at the thought of Chester singing "shut up" over and over again in a melodic tone. The rest of the set is fantastic though.
  2. I would have loved to see No More Sorrow make a comeback. Especially with the way Chester's been absolutely on fire with his screams on this tour.
  3. 01. The Little Things 02. Blackout 03. Lost in the Echo 04. The Catalyst 05. Victimized 06. In Pieces 07. Roads Untraveled 08. Waiting for the End 09. Faint 10. No More Sorrow ...Apparently I like the newer albums more.
  4. From the footage I've seen Chester was just as solid as Mike. He was on key and his screams were absolutely beastly.
  5. OH NOOOOO! Instead of the 100th POA demo and/or nu-metal instrumental on LPU13we're getting an all new LP collaboration!! End of sarcasm. There's plenty of room left on the CD for demos so everyone needs to calm their shit.
  6. Definitely guitar for either Bleed It Out or No More Sorrow
  7. Definitely this. OR his audition where the other guy came in and said "if you don't take this guy you're all idiots". I'd love to see that moment.
  8. Mike has said time and time again in interviews that he enjoys playing Faint so add that to his list. And Chester MUST enjoy playing Given Up otherwise it would have been cut by now like Crawling was for putting too much of a strain on his voice.
  9. I think it's clearly Victimized/QWERTY although I'm baffled at people claiming there's "soft" parts in either song on their own. Mike's speech is simply an epic intro for the song. The weight of the message he brings is anything but soft. If Blackout had nu-metal guitars (not saying it should) it would easily be the heaviest song in Linkin Park's career IMO. The fact that a piano/synth based song can even be compared to the likes of Victimized/QWERTY on sheer vocals alone speaks volumes. I'll still consider Blackout heavier than most of Hybrid Theory/Meteora for that fact alone. Underrated honourable mentions would also go to So Far Away, And One, and Reading My Eyes. Those instrumentals are HUGE.
  10. I was actually one of those idiots that thought "I can't faint the way I did before" were the chorus lyrics to Faint... not one of my brightest moments.
  11. I think the Ballad Medley is fantastic simply because it takes 3 slow songs that would normally take up almost 15 minutes of the set and compresses them into a 5 minute build-up. Unless you guys wish to go back to those mid-set marathons of boring slow/mid-tempo songs, I'd suggest the band keeps the medley as long as possible.
  12. I want any of the folk demos with vocals for Living Things. I think that would be incredibly interesting. Skin to Bone/Castle of Class/Roads Untraveled? Yes Please!
  13. I would be ecstatic to know that LP is returning for another North American tour, as long as they actually come somewhere close to me this time. This would also mean they can FINALLY play the other half of that album they released nearly a year ago...
  14. That encore is literally one of the best I've ever seen! It's what an encore should be - no filler all intense, heavy as fuck songs. The only problem I'd have with the set is the downtime in energy between songs 10-17. Some of them may be considered "mid-tempo" but the fact that several of them are boring singles really slows the set down imo.
  15. I'm still waiting for the Until It Breaks/Waiting for the End mashup to happen: Rising Sun Interlude - Apaches Intro - Waiting for the End - Brad's Crashing Waves Outro (Replacing the new outro) It would be brilliant I think. Chester could sing Brad's part anyways.
  16. Numb ---> P5hng Me A*wy Lies Greed Misery ---> No More Sorrow New Divide ---> Powerless Medley ---> The Little Things (Rotate) Somewhere I Belong ---> Roads Untraveled
  17. Mountain View 2004 Tokyo 2006 Any shows from 2001-2002 featuring And One / My Own Summer
  18. I actually thought 2009's setlists were completely boring other than the inclusion of DBS. The band basically took out everything that made the 2007-2008 sets unique and threw in New Divide (big whoop) and random rap verses from Fort Minor. Although the one time they played High Voltage over POA was epic. 2012's setlist was the best the band has played in 4 years. This revised set they just played was still better than anything since 2008. Victimized/Qwerty? Check. With You? Check. POA? Check. The only truly disappointing part of the set was the lack of new LT material, no APFMH and BIO studio version.
  19. I'm with everyone else. Lost In The Echo would have launched the hype for Living Things into the stratosphere if it released as the lead single. You would have the attention of the HT/Meteora purists along with the regular fans. In any case it would not have done any worse than Burn It Down. As for the rest of the singles, I'd release them as such: 1. Lost in the Echo 2. In My Remains 3. Lies Greed Misery 4. Castle of Glass 5. Powerless And there you have it - a successful album.
  20. You guys have begged for the band to bring back With You since 2007 and A Place for My Head since 2008. They've not only brought both back, but left both in virtually every uncut set they've performed in all of 2012. Then as a bonus they threw in Runaway for summer. Points of Authority was absent from the entire A Thousand Suns tour. Once again fans begged for it back. Here it is in all it's glory. They even brought Somewhere I Belong back (all of it's cringeworthy qualities intact). All of these songs are a result the band throwing their hardcore fans a bone. Sure they aren't as rare or "badass" as Figure.09 or P5hng, but they are deep cuts (minus Somewhere I Belong). And yet you insatiable fans STILL complain. If anything the band should be fully inclined to remove ALL of those tracks in favour of new material off Living Things, but it seems they'd rather rotate Living Things tracks with one another. The biggest problem with the set is this lack of new material. Where is Powerless? Where is I'll Be Gone? Hell, where is Roads Untraveled? Sure, the set may be disappointing to hardcore fans who have followed the entire Living Things tour, but to call it "embarrassing" or "horrible" is a laughable statement. There may be an absurd marathon of singles in the set, but since when have One Step Closer, Bleed It Out, Breaking the Habit and The Catalyst been considered poor and boring? Not to mention the inclusion of Lost in the Echo which is still new and heavy enough to deserve a worthy spot in the set without being "another boring single they've played thousand of times". Not to mention this side of the world has yet to even see Living Things material. So much butthurt for silly reasons.
  21. I would do unspeakable things to see this happen. LIVING THINGS DYNAMIC SETLIST 1. No More Sorrow (Extended Intro/Riot Bridge/Extended Outro) 2. In My Remains 3. Given Up (Asbestos Intro/Short Outro) 4. Papercut 5. [Empty Spaces] When They Come For Me 6. A.06[Lies Greed Misery]/Wretches And Kings/Victimized(W. Qwerty) 7. I’ll Be Gone 8. Castle Of Glass (Extended Intro) 9. Blackout 10. Leave Out All The Rest/Shadow Of The Day/Iridescent 11. In The End 12. The Catalyst 13. Numb (Acoustic) 14. Pushing Me Away (Piano Intro/P5hng Me A*Wy Restart) 15. Burn It Down 16. What I’ve Done (Ambo Intro) 17. Waiting For The End (Rising Sun & Apaches Intro/Crashing Waves Outro) 18. Roads Untraveled (Crowd Acapella Outro) 19. Tinfoil 20. Powerless 21. Bleed It Out (Blackbirds Bridge + Across The Line Bridge/Extended Outro) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22. Lost In The Echo (Extended Intro) 23. A Place For My Head (Extended Outro) 24. One Step Closer (Extended Outro) 25. Faint (Extended Outro) SHOW NOTES • Although there are only 25 slots in the set, fragments of 37 different songs are played from the band’s discography. • The set remains as short as possible while including as much music from the band’s library as possible. • Songs are distributed as follows: 6 Hybrid Theory, 2 Meteora, 6 Minutes To Midnight, 7 A Thousand Suns, 11 Living Things, 5 LP Underground • No More Sorrow’s bridge has the band going quiet and encouraging the crowd to chant “Thieves and Hypocrites” loud enough for Chester to answer with a scream and the song to continue. The outro is a kin to A Place for My Head's • Mike raps verse 1 of Asbestos over it’s riff before leading into the intro of Given Up • The Battle Axe Medley: Chester performs the bridge to Lies Greed Misery over the riff of A.06 which then transitions into Wretches and Kings (Intro/verse/chorus) followed by the Victimized/QWERTY mashup. • Numb is played acoustically with just Chester and Mike onstage • The opening verse and chorus to the piano rendition of Pushing Me Away is played before the band restarts the song as the full rendition of P5hng Me A*wy • Waiting for the End has an extended intro consisting of the first verse from Chester and 2nd verse from Mike in Until It Breaks. The outro is a rendition of Brad’s part on Until It Breaks featuring Chester on vocals. • Roads Untraveled has the audience encouraged to sing the final chorus as an outro • Bleed It Out features Mike’s verse from Blackbirds over its bridge. The song immediately transitions into the bridge from Across the Line.
  22. Now we have "Building it ERRRRRP" and "for you to SAAAAAYYYY" It bugs me a lot but like someone said earlier I'm glad they addressed it. I suppose "see" sounds much better when tuned perfectly in the studio.
  23. Everyone keeps bringing this up, yet we found out that LP scrapped every idea they had for their upcoming 4th album somewhere around 2009. That essentially means they spent the same amount of time on ATS material as they did on LT.
  24. Roads Untraveled has amazing potential for cooperation from the crowd. Just imagine thousands of people singing the melody in unison at the end rather than Chester. It would be chilling.
