    I too am holding my breath after The Catalyst, and it got worse after I read that review from the listening party. The strange formatted songs, the number of short tracks, the overall sound and spoilers of this album are down right scary. I always thought of LP as a band that could create anything and pull it off with their successful habits. This album is making me question my previous assumptions. I've always loved LP and I'm definitely giving this album a chance like the rest, but never before have I been scared of the possibility of not liking the album. We'll all see I guess

    Agreed. Never have a felt this much anxiousness about a LP album. However Ana (who's review I read) said she really didn't like Blackout, but I LOVED IT!!!! So maybe I'll have a completely different take on this album then her. I really want it to judge for myself! But her review made me a bit nervous. I will definately still give it a fair chance though.

    All what I'm trying to say is, I can't access Linkin Park Australia from my facebook. And Facebook is worldwide. Linkin Park already has a facebook page on there, so why would this be posted there and not on their official facebook page, myspace, twitter, mikeshinoda.com, or anywhere else? I'm just saying, coming from the US, I haven't seen any images other than this:

    To me, it just doesn't seem 100% true. The mannerisms in the text doesn't even seem like LP or Mike. Anybody have an actual screen grab?

    I don't think the text is LP or Mike. It sounds like LP Australia got the information and typed that themselves. Now whether this is true or not is to remain unseen. However, you've convinced me enough that I'm staying up till midnight PST.

    How is the single going to be out at midnight on iTunes? People who pre-ordered are supposed to get their's FIRST. So that means that this thing about 2pm (Central time) being the release time is a lie, or iTunes is going to release the single later.

     

    However if the single is released on iTunes first, I'm going to be a bit peeved.

    I DID read the info on the pre-order site. The only assumption I made was that the Linkin Park Facebook wouldn't post something like the stuff I bolded and underlined if it wasn't true.

     

    How is getting The Catalyst mp3 at 3 pm on August 2nd "before anyone else has a chance to hear it or buy it"?

     

    Read the phrase "The Catalyst will be released on Monday, August 2nd, but you don't need to wait that long to hear it," and tell me that doesn't mean sending before August 2nd. It may not be false advertising, but it was incredibly deceiving.

    When I click on the link it just takes me to my Facebook page.

     

    So what time would this mean the song is being sent for people in the U.S. EST?

    3PM for those in the EST time zone.

     

    This sucks. I knew deep inside that it would be something like this, but I was really hoping to get it today. I'm trying not to hear any leaks, but it'll be all over the internet by then. -_-

    This mix is really growing on me. I think there was a bit of a shock factor when you first listen to it, since it's not what people were expecting, but you need to listen to it a few times.

    hahahaha i almost pooped myself when he said FreQontrol!!! completely made my day, i hope that we get on a b-side, that would be sweet. And congrats to the winner, not a huge fan of the mix, but happy for him anyways :)

    Aww. Even though I didn't really like the mix, I felt so happy for him. He seems very nice. I also felt pretty happy for everyone that Mike mentioned. That must've been quite the thrill to hear Mike mention your name and to see the band actually listen to your mix.

     

    Also happy to see that 3 of my favorites were in the top. :D I hope they get the chance to be B-sides or on LPTV. I think its great that they might have more winners.

    Dunno how I feel about this. Too "electronic" for my tastes. In the middle of the song I thought my computer had froze or something. lol. Really didn't like the intro, but the rest is ok.

     

    It's cool that's he's an English teacher from Poland. I got the weirdest mental image of one of my English teachers trying to do a mix.
