  1. Just to let you know, in the rules of the contest, it states that you have to be under 1,000 characters and your sitting at 5,519 right now. Just letting you know. Good Luck!!!!

Hey I've been reading a few of these and saw that they were WAY more then 1000char. I think I remember reading this too, but I can't remember where. Could you tell me?

    This is what LPU says

Mike Shinoda is on board with LPU's March Madness! Ever wanted to be a guest blogger for Mike's Blog ? Well now you have the exclusive chance! To celebrate the public release of LP Archives: Official Tour Bootlegs, we are asking LPU members to write a short review of their favorite live show experience right here on your personal LPU profile page. Be sure your post includes information about the show you downloaded in addition to your thoughts of the concert (let us know if you attended that specific show, too). You can post multiple reviews (one per downloaded/attended show). We'll be reading posts ALL week so if you haven't downloaded just yet, there is still plenty of time. Read a message from Mike about the contest here!

  2. I hope they get their money. "Pre-existing condition" is such BS that I can't even...ugh can't even describe it! My family just got screwed over by our insurance company today so I've got a bit of a vendetta against them.

Also I think its riduculous that some people think Chester made up the story. It's very obvious how much he and the rest of the band care about their fans and would never do that to us. Anyone remember OK City 08 when Chester sang with a THROAT problem, or Melboure 07 when he continued the concert after he broke his wrist! Seems really riducoulous people would still think so poorly of Chester after all that.

  3. I read the comments at school so I couldn't see the video. I was expecting Chester to be saying a LOT more then what he did based on these comments. I think some people took his comments to far.

Personally I loved DBS. I think Chester just set his expectations a bit too high. Or he could've been trying to assure fans that he puts LP first. This article makes me think its the latter:

  4. I don't know if that remake is trying to tell me that "Wow! Our generation has got one of the weakest line-up of singers in pop" because that remake was the worst remake to ever grace my ears. Except for Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Pink, no one could carry a proper note or deserve to call themselves a musician. They might as well have had Soulja Boy doing his dance in the background if they were going to let T-pain use auto-tune. I mean, what a downgrade and an insult to people who actually sing. M.J would be rolling in his grave.

My younger sister likes a lot of those "artists". The song came on and after a minute of it she yelled for someone to turn off "that crap". I'm happy LP was asked and I'm happy they said no.

As for Mike's questions, yeah a lot of them were nonsense answers and didn't really give us much or any information, but it was still cool of him to do.

I'm curious. I asked him if LP was still releasing the new album in a different way then normal like Phoenix had said a LONG time ago. Does anyone here know about it?

  5. I think I'd pass out in shock if someone on these forums didn't complain about SOMETHING LP does. I mean glasses, really.

This should be about how much the people in Haiti need our help. We should be talking about trying to spread the word about this because it's really a great idea to "download and donate".

Great job to LP on the video.

  6. i don't like what they doing with this album, they are promissing a new album since 2008, what worth do this asap?

is better mike and phoenix stop playing in their iphones and chester leave dbs and keep working in a new album

^Well this seems to be the generally feeling from the "fans" here. Though from that comment I don't know how you can call yourselves fans.

I'll repeat what many have said, but doesn't seem to be sinking in. LP has released more music then usually between breaks. LPU9 (demos that fans have been begging for), New Divide, Not Alone, DBS, Mike's numerous remixes, Lockjaw.

About DBS, that was something very personal for Chester and the majority of LP fans liked it. That album alone could last me till the end of this year and probably more. Also Chester enjoyed doing it. Which from the above comment is apparently not allowed.

Besides music the guys have been working on 8-bit Rebellion and Mike's Glorious Excess art show was put out. That was something he loves doing, but the "fans" say that's a no-no and that he needs to get his butt into the studio. Another thing people seem to forget is that 4/6 of the members are married with kids. They can't be doing music all the time.

Anyways history shows that when the guys take this much time on the album then it'll be good. So I'll happily wait. *goes listens to LPU9*

  7. yes, u ar right. comparing with LP, DBS is really a shit. by the way, his sucked side project really slows down the process of LP producing their new album.

    see this article

    http://lptimes.com/news2008/jan/news01272008.html

chester said that he HAD bad relationship with his bandmates, i think this might also be a truth even for now. as i have observed, in the LP's concert there are barely any conversations between chester and mike, the two vocalists. bad relationship between chester and rest of the LP might be a possible reason, i just think.

    is LP dissolving?? :(

Not sure you read the article. Chester was drinking and stuff, who would have a good relationship then? But if you read Chester sobered up and had a better relationship with the band. In fact I remember him saying that he said it was the band members who helped him get through his rough divorce. Also I remember an interview that Chester did with Kerrang I believe, he said that he and Mike didn't argue.

    Edit: http://images49.fotki.com/v1556/filea3Fy/a...22/kerrang4.jpg

Quote: "I don't think I've ever fought with Mike. I've never even really had an argument with him. We all get along so well."

That interview wasn't really that long ago. I think you guys are really blowing this whole thing out of proportion.

  8. Could we not post screencaps? For once I'd like an LPU exclusive to remain exclusive. If you really want to see it, join.

As for the site I love it. Better then the old one. I just wish the forums were better and the pics at the top were more clear. I love the new video section. Any thoughts of the blog section though. Seems a bit random to me.

One of the pics said "Joe Hahn's Joyroom" :)

  9. Some of your guesses for the new album are a little to optimstic imo. I would guess earliest a single from the new album to be out will be October with the new album dropping early 2011.

I really don't know where everyone is getting Late 2010/Early 2011. I know LP is known for taking a while to make an album, but NO WAY is it going to be that late.

My prediction is along with a lot of people. LP likes to release at the end of the month so I say late June release, with a single in early May.

  11. Alternative Addiction did an interview with Ryan.

However this part is bugging me.

A touring schedule has not yet been announced but, Shuck said they band could hit the road in February and for those who are wondering if this will be a one-record wonder, forget about it.

“We’re already working on material for our next record,” Shuck said.

Ok I don't know how serious to take this, but shouldn't Chester focus on getting through with touring and then working on the new LP album? I like DBS, probably more then most here, but LP really needs to be first.

I'm not really music knowledgable, so I don't know if this means anything or not.

  12. Man, this is so fucked up. Hamburg already had a show. What about the rest of the US?? DBS is such a damn mess. This is gonna be 7 shows for DBS in Germany. Why not Sydney or something in the US or Canada? I'd like to see DBS too, I don't know why they keep playing the same places - Vegas.

YES!! We want some concerts in the US!!!

  13. Talinda looks gorgeous there but I don't see how she fits into the video.

I like that the video is simple and not very colourful, there is quite alot going on in the vid though, what are those red balls?

I guess I need to watch the video a few more times to get used to it.

I agree that Talinda looked amazing, but I also can't imagine why she's there. That song was about Chester's divorce and to have Talinda there....I don't know.

Also Red Balls = the red circle from the album cover.

With the exception of Talinda's apperance, I really liked the video. The imagery was really cool.
