Have you ever stopped to think that perhaps we don't read LPLive religiously? That maybe perhaps we could be so busy with our OWN SITE (which we spend hours working on everyday) that we don't waste our time, nor even have enough time to double check every single last idea we come up with to make sure that LPLive wasn't thinking of it as well? It was a coincidence, plain and simple...and I'd respect it if you wouldn't throw around baseless allegations. A good example: When we made the WIKI a few months ago, we got a text from Mark (Hahninator) saying that he was bummed we posted a Wiki first because Mark was working on an unannounced Wiki (meaning he told nobody and nobody knew before hand) for the next version of LPLive. Do you guys think I someone got inside Mark's brain to steal that idea too? Fuck. LPL and LPA were getting along until today. Me and Mark resolved our differences in private, and even were working on an upcoming project together that would include ALL the fansites (not just LPA/LPL). There is no "war" and you guys have to get that through your heads and stop trying to pick fights with us. Mark wouldn't want it, and neither do we. You guys really need to stop trying to pick fights with us, because LPA has no desire to fight with LPL. The staff of both sites respect each other, and our members respect your site greatly and even post on LPL sometimes. Please respect us as well. This animosity is getting old. We want peace, not this shit.

I just wanna respond real quick to one of the common complaints about our site (meaning LPA) on here, and that is the 'moderation queue' that required members (with under 50 posts) to have their post approved before it appeared on the forums. This was implemented due to high levels of spam, but has since been removed and has been gone for nearly half a year. Posts no longer have to be approved and will appear instantly. Aside from that, I just wanna go on the record and say I support LPL and respect them as a fan site. Always have, and I hope the respect is mutual. Keep up the hard work guys!

And so was I. But apart from a link to our downloads, you didn't even mention LPA at all which I felt was a little low. Just linked to our downloads without really mentioning our part in it. That was kinda a bit rude. But then again, it's not worth the hassle so this will be the last I reply about it. It's not worth causing a fight. I respect LPL, love them as a site and don't want this thread to go downhill. So I'm going to just shake my head at this and walk away. I just wish people would have more respect for hard work. And you werent the first, I can also show the facebook message and email I got. Jim sent it to us both, yes...and that's unfortunate. But again, I'm not arguing anymore.

I'm not trying to start anything or come off rude; because I know you emailed Jim and he sent that to you, but couldn't you have just linked to the news post we made last night that had the same exact information? I mean you went out of your way to find the download link on our site, you could've at least linked to the front page of the site too that had the news post. Granted...Jim JUST emailed me this stuff last night, but I went to the trouble of posting a news post about it. You've linked to our downloads, but didn't link to the actual news post which annoys me. However; due to me wanting to respect LPL's spam policy, and the guys here..I won't be posting the link to the thread. If people want to find it they can.

It was likely the same reason we had our WOS (until we deleted it in Version 3): People are lazy (*cough* bazinga! *cough*) and like to steal things from other fan sites that work hard to get those exclusives, and then brand them as their own. With the Wall of Shame it helped introduce people to these thieves and expose them for what they are. Stealing other's sites content isn't a site trying to be successful, it's being a leech that cant get anything for themselves. Even though LPA hasn't had a Wall of Shame for years (for the reason that it brought criticism on us), I support Crewdy for even having that on his site.

Bummer. One of my favorite fellow sites (apart from LPL of course *love*), and it's a shame to see it go. Fortunately I can't foresee LPAssociation closing down anytime soon...and even if I lost interest in the band, I think I would pass the reigns of the site over to someone else before I just closed it down. So as long as LP is around, I don't think you have to worry about LPA (and hopefully not LPL) going anywhere, anytime soon. RIP FTG.
