The Best and The Worst of Hybrid Theory
rsw2010 replied to zuben7o7's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Most Signature Singing Track Pushing Me Away- Since this is the song with the least amount of screaming, it's the best opprotunity to hear Chester sing. And the lyrics are not to shabby. I find myself singing this song all the time. They need to play the album version more. Least Signature Guitar Riff In The End- It's basicly the same notes all throughout, even in the bridge. Least Signature Rap Track Crawling-Mike has only 1 verse in this song, and it's repeted. Not much else to say about it. It's a disapointment, considering the demo of this song, with the "raindrops" rap. Least Signature Singing Track By Myself- This is more of Chester screaming than singing. Best Arena-Rock Track Points Of Authority- Screaming chorus vocals, some great samples, energetic guitar, and industrial style drums. Yep, this is a stadium-ready song. Get a couple thousand fans together for this song, and they'll go nuts. Honnorable Mention-A Place for My Head -
In the Darkness. Completly hate it. although i probably will start to like it at some point..

I think APFMH deserves a Most Memerable Scream award. It's one of the songs with the best screams, especially at the end. -

Runaway was one of the best songs on the album. so, ya. -
i wasn't insulting it. I just thought it was a weird logo, compared to last years.
-
Lol. is that really the logo they're gonna use? It's ok.
-
http://www.lplive.net/livelist.php My December(the original version) is listed as being played on 1/16/08, but that was after they started doing the new piano version of it, isn't it?
-
Does somebody have the mixtapeversion? if so, could u upload it?
-
Ya. It was a bonus track on the special edition of The Rising Tied, along with Be Somebody and The Hard Way
-
My favorite tracks really depend on my mood. If i'm hyper and ready to party, then I'm bustin out my speakers with Bloc Party, S.C.O.M, Back Home, Cover & Duck, Dolla, and All Night (not technicly a FM track, but it was on the mixtape, so i'm counting it) If im in a more mellow mood, then its Spraypaint & Inkpens, Be Somebody, and pretty much the entire RT CD. The Hard Way is one of the most powerful tracks ever written. I can see how Mike wouldn't have been able to play it live. Kenji kinda reminds me of HHH, not that i care. Cigerates has probably the best choir parts ever.

BOOYAH!!!! We're getting demos AND an unreleased song!!!! LPU newsletters rock!!
-
idk if they'll cut Bleed it Out. Everyone seems to enjoy that song, plus Brad said it was one of his favorites. I think everyone will go crazy if we have to go without a Rob Burdon drum solo. They can't cancel No More Sorrow. That's one of their best ones ever. If they do, i'll be pissed
-
1, 2, 3. HELL FUCKING YES!!!!!! I knew they wouldn't fuck with us again!!! Thanks to Mister Shinoda, for giving us the heads up!! Also, congrats to Hahninator!!!
-
Maybe it was just a coincidence. 3 wasn't too bad. 5 is the only one i don't have or like, due to it having no new stuff, and it being heavily edited. but your right. i would've thought, though, that with 5, they would give us some demos from Meteora, since 3 and 4 were all live tracks (save for 2 on 4) but i guess they weren't able due to the Warner issue. I just think that lpu4 was kind of a let down. They should've done Hip-Hop Melody and Wish from RAR, instead of PR and the collision course concert. Much better quality. Also, why did they do BTH? They should've done Numb with the Guitar intro. that is much better. For me, BTH being on there just killed the whole CD.
-
it'd be pretty cool if they did that. Maybe they'll do it on the DBS tour. what if we heard Numb, Easier to Run, and Breaking the Habbit all accustic? (I picked those because those are some of the more mellow songs, not counting M2M songs)
-
Now THAT would be epic. as long as they dont do any acoustic encores, like GD.
-
umm...what's that supposed to mean?
-
hmm.....tough call. I love the new studio version. Its not as electronic-orriented as the remix was, although it doesnt have the epic ending... eh. 09=remix>live 01>bow never even heard the bow one.
-
lol. Heck, this whole site is nerdy (no offense guys!) cause of all the lists. Im just people actually know all the intros/outros used. Especially from like, 2001. that's, like, super nerd. Just kidding guys.

Quote [They should play HT Full the next year since its going to be the 10 aniversary.] hmmm.... what would that be like? Papercut (Long intro. Blend into) One Step Closer (feat. Mark Wakefield) With You (regular version) Points of Authority (regular version) Crawling (regular version) Runaway By Myself In The End A Place for My Head (feat. Mike Shinoda version) Dedicated Pictureboard (PLEASE!!!!!!) My December (Regular live Version) unreleased HT era song unreleased HT era song High Voltage (2nd version) Barack Your World (feat. Mark Wakefield.) Hey. it be cool to hear it live.. Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer (feat. Jay-Z and Mark Wakefield. Band does full version of OSC after Jay-z song. Mark does lead vocals, everyone sings on final chorus.) Behold, the ultimat HT tribute setlist!
-
Maybe we'll be suprised. We thought we'd never hear Dedicated live, and he rapped it over POA. IDK, maybe they'll reherse it more, and decide to play it. I was so hoping they'd do it at Epicenter, but i think the Tool fans would've killed them. Look at their reaction to DBS and New Divide! I wish they would've played In Between more. Its one of my favs off the album. Mike's voice is so powerful in that song
-
lol. Ya, they'll just play random demos and cover songs. anyone wanna here LP do a MJ song?
