Holy shit, I absolutely LOVE Stained. This is the kind of pop-style music that I can fuck with. I'm also loving how Casualty is pretty divisive among the fanbase lol. It feels like this is an "either you love it or hate it" track. Personally, I love it. But maybe that's my punk rock side coming out lol. I honestly never thought we'd be back here. New LP album, world tour, it's all still very surreal. Honestly, this makes up for the absolute fucked past 2 weeks. This album supplanted Saviors by Green Day as best rock album of the year for me. The only downside is I wish it was longer (ironic, due to my punk side lol). Maybe longer songs, or even more songs. I hate this trend of bands only putting 11 songs on albums. I miss the longer tracklistings. Hopefully if the band does another album, they'll put more than 11 on there. 9/10 album. Thank you for coming back, LP.

I liked the video. It was good gut twist at the end. Mr. Hahn did a great job, and so did Emily. The song's been growing on me since I heard it. It's catchy, just too short. It works nicely as a breather to recover from the heavy onslaught of TEM and HITC (and set up Casualty.) Still the weakest song we've gotten so far, but still pretty good. TEM: 5/5 HITC: 7/5 OEO: 3.5/5

I don't dislike it, but I'd definitely have it at the bottom of my list of the songs we've heard so far. I like the mellow-ness of the track, but there's nothing exciting about it. It reminds me of Pretend to Be: It actually sounds like the two of them came from the same sessions. It seems like a track they'd put on the LPU or a Music for Relief comp. I did love hearing Emily's clean vocals after we got two heavy tracks. She did a great job. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5. Not bad, ok. I could see this getting played on pop/top 40 radio.

I don't buy that there's "no experimentation" with this new album: This whole era is an experiment. A new drummer, a new singer, coming back after 7 years, it's definitely different. Them coming out with an ATS or OML style album would've resulted in an even bigger backlash. Making songs that sound familiar is a good way to bring back in fans while also helping them get used to the new members. I don't mind it. Doing the comeback album with familiar sounds while waiting for the next album to go back to experimenting. Plus the songs have been pretty good about incorporating from all the different eras.

Man, I'm still in awe over that show. It was incredible! Emily killed it for her first performance with the band! Colin was awesome as well. I know we'll all miss Rob and especially Chester, but the band sounds great! I already pre-ordered the box set from the site. Now to wait for more tour dates in 2025! Linkin Park is back!!

I liked Sorry For Now when I first heard it in 2017, and it's still probably my favorite on the record. I hope we get the alternate version with Mike's rap in the bridge someday. The other tracks I enjoy from there are Battle Symphony and Invisible. Occasionally I'll listen to NBCSM and GG. OML if I'm ever depressed and need a good cry. I do wonder, if the guys go forward with a new singer and live shows, how many songs they'll incorporate from OML into the setlists. It'll be interesting to see.

The only album that I didn't like the direction of was OML. I wasn't a fan of the pop direction, the outside songwriters, or the lack of guitar. Even to this day, I'll only listen to like half the album (ironically, not the singles). I was part of the crowd that loved ATS the first time I heard it. Same with LT and THP.

I finally got an update on my box!...only for it to say it'll be here next Thursday. Yeah, last time I'll be ordering from the Warner store for these type of releases.

100% agree. LP is one of the bands where I can listen to almost anything they put out, and not be disappointed. Meteora and ATS are some great albums. I'm so excited to hear the new demos. I'm especially looking forward to the new doc. I mentioned earlier this year that with this, plus the Green Day box set, I feel like I'm back in high school again lol. -
🙄 I think it's a bad measure to use discussions on a fan site to gauge the quality of a record .HT20 had the same hype and discussion, and it's safe to say M2M20 will have it as well. Yes, Meteora was a great album, but it's not the best they've done. Just because they changed their sound afterwards doesn't make the other albums bad. I would say that there are about 5-6 songs on M2M and ATS that are better than some of the songs on Meteora. But that's just imo. Doesn't mean the Meteora songs are bad, it just speaks to the talent that the band has with writing songs.

It's good, but not their best. Even Mike doesn't think it is. I'm excited for this week, but if I'm being honest, I'm more anxious for what the LPU might be doing. I might sign back up after 7 years. Definitely exciting times for LP fans. -

It'll be interesting. I think the modern mix is why it has a LT vibe, especially in the intro. Maybe that's just me. -

I'll add it to the Meteora album as track 14. -
Still not a fan of using AI for the videos, but at least this one looks better than the Lost vid. But that's probably just my love for the dark aesthetic. Speaking of, not sure how people are getting "happy" from this song. I think some people forget that pop doesn't always equal upbeat or happy.

I went back and listened to the Meteora demos we got on the LPU releases. One thing that stood out was that Lost really fits in with them in terms of the music and scope. The band mentioned on the making of DVD how they wanted the album to be more "cinematic" and "big scope" in feel and sound, and I think Lost and those demos encapsulate that pretty well. This makes me excited for the other b-sides as well as the demos.
