I thought Illenium was something on the periodic table -
I think it was Mike who made an off handed comment about how awesome it would be to have someone like Rakim on the track, and their engineer was like “Oh, I just did a record with him. Want me to give him a call?”

Friendly Fire is like a OML track with the shiny polished screen protector removed I agree with not putting it on the album, it just doesn’t fit sonically - but as with the rest of the album, Chester is on point
