  1. A month ago, Sean Dowdell gave a great track by track insight of the album, really interesting overview on the writing (and re-writing) process of the songs. Enjoy it below!
  2. You guys seem so fond of analyzing and going deep into those 2 instrumental records, and that’s super fine. Probably some of you are even musicians (like PeppePark) so seeing the creative process and then having the final result is exciting I guess because you were “there” Watching him creating the sounds. To me, not really my cup of tea, TBH I never listened to DF1 front to back and I probably won’t do that with Vol 2 too not because I think they are bad (they aren’t) but I feel bored going through them. As of Vol 2. I really like transitions
  3. Definitely, literally ATS/LT vibes everywhere, there’s something that reminds me of The Catalyst and Tinfoil a lot
  4. Really not my thing. Transitions is nice, but the rest really misses the point with me. I liked some songs off Vol.1 tho 😊
  5. You can hear some Mike influence in the instrumentals, but I don't like Grandson's voice so... not for me, I found it pretty annoying TBH
  6. Definitely. OML backlash was heavier than usual (and critics reviews too) but I bet that it absolutely wasn’t the motivation or one of the strongest things that pushed him to do what he did. All the other things you mentioned put together are probably the motivation and yeah, the date was absolutely not random sadly ...
  7. Hmmm yeah same here: they are clearly letting fans express themselves creatively, if they wanted to make professional videos like Sickness or Soul Song they could have done it that way (and they proved they could make really cool videos) but they didn’t. The ending result is a bit cringy and looks unprofessional but hey.
  8. This is fucking garbage. I don’t know how this guy felt when July 20 happened, but those are the people who ruin music. Idiots who think musicians are puppets in the hands of their fans, you don’t like the toy ? You throw it away. Behind music there are always people making it, you have the right to criticize it but acting like an idiot insulting and being phisically aggressive ? Hell NO. I have been pretty critic with Mike’s solo music in terms of quality and even pretty aggressive in terms of opinions on some songs, but I would NEVER attack Mike, even if he would drop a full solo album and I wouldn’t like a single song on it, I’d never attack his person
  9. Ahahahah 😂 TBH I think it’s super cute although incredibly naive. I like the ending with Chester flying away on the cloud with the voice message playing. They are clearly letting fans play with this material, they could have dropped 2 videos similar to “Soul Song” but they didn’t so...
  10. Grey Daze just released another music video, the same amateur directors of "In Time."
  11. Man, why so negative ? “Sucks balls”, like, we are talking about harsh/rude criticism having a negative effect on Chester and you make this comment. I mean, I know you didn’t like the album and it’s super ok, but, less is better in this case IMO 😊 peace
  12. Yeah agree on this, but I have to admit that It’s been a while since I played something off that show because i feel uncomfortable watching it, especially the beginning with them as a 5 piece and stuff like Numb, ITE, ND and OML... It’s a great tribute show but it’s not something I frequently watch, but we know that grief and related feelings are very personal. I know fans who could watch the Bowl and be ok for the entire show and fans who fall apart crying if they hear a random LP song on the radio, even the “happyer” ones, so...😊
  13. I remember this. This is garbage, I hope no other bands will experience this. Trying to injury someone just because you don’t like a song. This is a miserable Human being. Chester would have probably done what he did even if OML was well received by fanS, but this makes me sad and angry
  14. Agree on this, I get really aggressive on the theme too because: 1 I really liked the album from day 1 2 it had an (even if small) impact on the tragedy occurred. I can’t stand to see it on the list of worst albums of all time Getting 1/5 stars by the same motherfuckers who act like every Kendrick Lamar song is a a masterpiece or give 4/5 to Cardi B including some of her songs in the best of the past decade (with no offense to both Cardi and KENDRICK obviously)
  15. Great interview, as we all know Chester got really upset about OML criticism. People should always learn to separate music from human beings, like, you don’t like the album ? Fine, you don’t have to spend months talking shit about the band.
  16. Lol yeah, I’ll be pushing 45 and be like OMG TOMORROW WE’RE GONNA HEAR FRIENDLY FIRE, and my wife and kids will be “yeah dad is in one of his 15 again period”
  17. Lol I remember at the Monza show in 2017 the OML t-shirt:40 € for a T-shirt with the OML cover in the front and tour dates on the back
  18. He was awesome, the exact proof of what Mike says about Chester impersonating other singers can be heard easily in Grey Daze, where he basically impersonates Scott Weiland, Layney Stanley etc... His range was phenomenal, his ability to shift from completely different genres was outstanding
  19. Oh ok I just checked it out, don’t see why it would be a good set opener at all but hey, opinions. My setlist would be pretty similar to this one except for Rey demonio and WID
