Los Angeles Venue Change (Dodger Stadium -> Intuit Dome)
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Well I don’t see them doing a big USA January/February tour 2026 like they planned in 2015. they see the demand and they will come to Europe/Asia/South America instead of the US where the demand is not that big. -
So I guess they announced too many shows for Brazil in the first place?
-
The scratching sounds pretty great. Sad those do not really come across in the studio version.
-
Fully agree here. ALITS is a monster song by Rob. KTTK, GATS as well. Always liked his groove on Papercut or Forgotten.
-
I agree.

I would speculate that Joe‘s parts a sometimes more up front than a wall of guitar sound. For example: If Joes plays the Intro to Crawling, ITE or Numb wrong, you immediately recognize it. Perhaps playing a guitar part wrong for a split second gets mixed up in the whole sound production/wall. Therefore, that might not even be too „important“ Just speculation.

Especially the last few answers made me want to post something. It's pretty crazy what has been set up here with LinkinPedia etc. Especially when a lot of stuff are based on the work of our friend Nick. It needs people like him but also people from the LPL staff or us “normal” members who are here weekly if not daily. The way everyone here contributes to the development of something bigger than any one of us is something very special. It's really important to know where the roots of many LP related publications or background knowledge come from. In that sense. Let's continue to work together in this special community in his memory.

2025.02.05 - Monterrey, Mexico

Don’t worry, they most likely won’t…it was similar in Hamburg where I went to see them. I was kinda surprised not getting blasted into the face with big sound. Especially when you are on the floor in front of the speakers. -

Just. Great. -
I have to say that the Lost bridge sounds great live. A lot of nostalgic feeling as I always see the Thoughts That Take Aways My Pride video when the bridge hits.

To be fair, that's the case for a lot of LP songs. While some work live others don't. They is so much stuff going on in those songs and they try to play everything live (Keys, synthy, guitar, bass etc.) and not run it from the playback. Therefore Mike is busy with playing a million instruments which influences his and the bands performance. Like, Overflow could be much sicker if he doesn't have to stick behind the keyboard and have to rap while playing keys.

Linkin Park Nominated 4x for the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Isn't it partly up to the band to throw their stuff into the batch and then see if it's getting nominated, if I remember correctly? As for TEM, I don't see why they shouldn't try it. It's probably the biggest new Rock song of 2024, isn't it? At some point it isn't always about the "best" artistical song that gets nominated and wins a grammy. A lot is about popularity. I mean, Metallica is getting nominated again and again and again and it is never like the best thing Metal has ever seen. -

Ok ok chill bro💀

To be honest. These instrument changes of the individual members (+Alex) during the live show are so awesome if you ask me. It's pretty badass of Collin to play guitar and then immediately switch to the drums. If we get another layer here and Alex plays drums while Colin plays guitar it would be wild.

Linkin Park Likely Returning to Morumbi Stadium in Brazil
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Sorry, meant in addition to Queens of the Stone Age. And tbh QOTSA is quite an interesting choice, isn't it? I mean. They really went with the zeitgeist and put bands like Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Architects, Bad Omens on their shows. So I thought they would go for the same route here. Or if they go for a rather classic "older" act, a show with SOAD etc. would have been sick. But we never know what other bands are up to. -
Linkin Park Likely Returning to Morumbi Stadium in Brazil
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
With opening acts or co-headliners, isn't it more about the overall package than the question of whether this artist can generate similar demand as LP? It makes a difference if LP would play these shows on their own or if they take a better known supporter with them. Even if that supporter couldn't generate the demand that LP could on their own. I mean, look at the BlinkinPark shows. The package of LP, Blink, Wu Tang Clan and MGK certainly attracts more people than LP alone. Even if none of these other acts can generate as much demand as LP on their own. At least I would say so. That's why I was surprised that they didn't pick 1-2 additional acts for their stadium show in LA. I'm sure an attractive package here would sell a few more tickets and they wouldn't be struggling so much. -

They put out the date lol. For me that's at least like a 50% announcement lol -

As of right now there are no supporting acts for those shows, right? -

There will be tons of legendary venues they are playing this year, damn. Wembley Stadium, Olympiastadion and now this. They could film all of those shows and release them. There is no way they will not film at least one of them and release them. -
Top 5 Worst Decisions In LP's career
KeysToTheLinkinPark replied to JZLP-Benningstrong's topic in Everything Linkin Park
I wrote that some days ago in the shoutbox. The time period between like 2012 and 2017 felt off. They kinda lost their rhythm and did some weird stuff here and there. That whole Recharged time was like wtf is going on only to drop an Alt-Metal record in 2014. That setlist was so bad to be honest. I can probably speak for a lot of us when I say that we love good transitions or interludes in live shows but that was a mess. Creating a live set like a DJ Set didn't work. Those transitions they use in those 2024 shows are miles ahead of what they tried back then lol. Then the treatment THP got for their live shows was awful as well. Especially when you promote it as an "to be played live" Album big lol. We talked a lot how they probably weren't capeable of playing other songs or more songs off of THP. Either Chester couldn't do it (KTTK) or Brad and Rob getting injured due to playing ALITS (190 BPM pain...) and GATS. I mean, ok they play hundreds of shows but it was kinda sad seeing that downfall...
