So, it's official: Mike said on Instagram that 33.000 people attended the concert in Lima.. According the manegers of Maximus Festival BR, 40.000 attended the concert in São Paulo. So, about the public "competition" in South America: 1) São Paulo, Brazil 2004 - 75.000 people (source) 2) Itu, Brazil 2010 - 50.000 people (source) 3) São Paulo, Brazil 2017 - 40.000 people (source) 4) Lima, Peru 2017 - 33.000 people (source) 5) São Paulo, Brazil 2012 - 27.000 people (source) I don't know about the numbers of Buenos Aires 2010, 2012 and Santiago 2010, 2017! But we need to remember one thing: Itu, 2010 and São Paulo 2017 were festivals with another huge bands playing at the same day... (São Paulo 2004 was a festival as well but with only two bands: Linkin Park and a brazilian rock group) So, let's talk about solo performances (including São Paulo 2004) 1) São Paulo, Brazil 2004 - 75.000 people 2) Lima, Peru 2017 - 33.000 people 3) São Paulo, Brazil 2012 - 27.000 people If you don't consider São Paulo 2004 as a festival performance: 1) Lima, Peru 2017 - 33.000 people 2) São Paulo, Brazil 2012 - 27.000 people

I don't know if Lima was the biggest concert in in South America. The Chimera's 2004 festival was a sould out concert at the Morumbi Stadium for 80.000 people. We always said that it was the biggest concert in the band's carrear before South Africa. You also can read it at the live give.

2017.05.13 - São Paulo, Brazil - Maximus Festival
LeonardoMF93 replied to RogueSoul's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Just to add: This concert will be fourth in the state of São Paulo and the third in the city of São Paulo. LP played in the small city of Itu in 2010 and I think you forgot to mentioned this concert when you were talking about the past shows in Brazil. One of the highlights for the concert that I will attend is read the previous post for it on LPLive. It's such an amazing job! For the people who are asking about broadcast or webcast, there's a Brazilian channel called Multishow that always broadcast the biggest concerts in Brazil like they did in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Until now we don't know if they will do the same tomorrow. Maybe some webcast like in Buenos Aires? It's the same festival, c'mon... It wasn't awlays like that. Before the A Thousand Suns Tour, the played in Brazil just one time at the Meteora World Tour and just in one city. Brazil is such a huge country and the fans waited for it too much. In the last decade, Brazil became a better place to do business and that's why the band started to come back every cycle. It is a culture that started in 2007~2008. Now I think it's a joke and the people who are always saying that are kids. -
It reminds me No Roads Left and I love it

So you're definitely a fan of the songs the band are choosing to promote the album.
-
One More Light is definitely the best song from the album so far Ohh man, I can imagine. I'm so sorry for your lost. Give yourself a time and just remember the good stuff. Try to make something that could let her proudly and with time this feeling will pass.
-
The people from Santiago tried to sing the first verse and chorus of In The End like the fans did in Buenos Aires, but for some reason the band didn't have paciance to wait and started to play in the begining of the chorus

North American Tour Cities + Presale Announced
LeonardoMF93 replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
If they announce a concert in Florida in the beginning of August, I'll be there and it's gonna be my third concert this year. -
I'm really looking forward to see how they will add the new songs on the setlists with heavy songs like One Step Closer and Rebellion.
-
It reminded Shadow Of The Day music video but I don't know why. It's a great video for such bad song! Besides that, it's always amazing watch a member of the band acting in the videos!

Do you guys think we'll be able to see FM concerts during the LP Tour in South America or Europe in 2017?
-
What an amazing tour! 4 shows in 4 different countries! For the second time we can say Linkin Park will be touring in South America. 2004: one show in Brazil 2010: one show in Brazil, Argentina and Chile 2012: four shows in Brazil and one in Argentina 2014: two shows in Brazil 2016: one show in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru Something we sould have a look is the sale numbers. We will have a sould out concert in Peru and the "half-price tickets" (dedicated to students and professors) in Brazil are already sould out in this first wave after 2 hours of sales. After this numbers, I think we can say that we'll have a South American Tour every tour cycle. For me the worst thing about this tour is the fact that Brazil will have only one concert. It's a huge country and it is one of the biggest fan base in the world. I hate the clause of exclusivity used by the Brazilian festivals that does not allow the band to play in another state of the country in the same year. Well, let's rock South America!
-
I was thinking about a South American Tour in the end of 2017. It's gonna be the first time that LP will not be playing in another place or recording an album at the same date of Rock in Rio Brazil. We all know that LP is always playing at the international versions of this festival but it never happened with the original one. The band played for small crowds in Brazil in 2012 (the last time of headling shows) so I can't see big companies putting their money in a tour like this considering the economic period of the country. To finish I can tell one thing to you guys: It's impossible to have a tour in Sourh America with a band like Linkin Park making money without Brazil. Maybe a couple of shows in Mexico, I don't know...

LA. That's everything that I need to say. There are a lot of celebrities working in something in the middle of the city everyday. -
2015.05.09 - Las Vegas, NV - Rock in Rio USA
LeonardoMF93 replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
I know that's a brand and there's nothing new, I'm not so stupid I just think that's not right. I know that's not so smart to change it after a huge sucess because you won't have the impact in new places. I'm not talking as a businessman, I'm talking like a "normal person" lpliveusername, and I don't agree with you. In my opinion, all the Rock in Rio setlists arround the world were not so good in the last years. -

Rock in Rio in Vegas. It should be Rock in Vegas. It's not in Rio! -
It's not gonna happen. LP is not coming to Brazil this year, so no concert in South America in 2015.
-
I think the same thing happened in Brazil
-
I don't know why LP never included Mexico on their North American Tour. Congrats Mexican fans!
-
I don't believe in a new record. Maybe a small FM tour in the USA or something like that
-
I think that we can say that LP is not coming to Rock in Rio here in Brazil. We have 7 days of festival and only 2 of them are dedicated to rock music. System Of A Down, Slipknot, A-ha, Queens Of The Stone Age, Faith No More and Hollywood Vampires are confirmed and we never had any rumors about them before the confirmation, so probably what we had about LP at this festival is not true. We also have the possibility about Live Earth in Rio (the festival is already confirmed to happen here) but I don't think that's not a good chance to see them playing here. We know that if LP is not coming to Brazil, we don't have any chance of a South American Tour this year.

Is it a famous festival in US? I mean, there's not too many famous bands on the line-up.
